SPEAKER_01Good morning, Fresh Mercy Podcast. Listeners, we thank the Lord for a new week of Fresh Mercy Podcast. Vinny, I'm excited for what God has in store for us this week. Amen. It's gonna be a powerful week. Thank you, Jesus. If it wasn't for the retreats, I wouldn't have no shirts to wear. This is the 25 retreat shirt. Yeah. Last week you had the 22. Last week I had the 22.
SPEAKER_00And I went back. If it wasn't for the cost, I would not make a podcast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you would have no podcasts.
SPEAKER_00I would have no podcast shirts.
SPEAKER_01We thank the Lord for last week's episodes. Deacon Frank from our church and Angelo Du came on and did an amazing job. Yes, they did. Those episodes were beautifully led by the Holy Spirit, and I pray that you guys go back and watch them. Me and Vinny did okay. We thank the Lord because this week Vinny is leading off. And Vinny, what do you have in store for us? Are you are you closing out or are you continuing? We're going forward, forward.
SPEAKER_00We're continuing on the series on hindrance. And it's important because if you're having trouble with your spiritual walk, if you're having trouble with your prayer life, if you're having trouble with fellowship with God, you feel you're not in fellowship and unity with Him, there's something hindering you. There's something delaying you. And for those who don't know, if this is the first time you're watching uh the podcast or uh doing the going through the episodes, I'm me personally, I'm doing a series on hindrance, and hindrance means this: a hindrance is a person or a thing that interferes with, slows down, or acts as an obstacle to stop a progress or an action, a delay slowed down and held back. So we learn that pride in your life is a hindrance, jealousy is a hindrance. What else we learn is a hindrance? Laziness. Laziness is a hindrance. And today we'll be learning something else that hinders a believer. That is anger. Anger is a hindrance.
SPEAKER_01Well, Vinny, I'm just gonna tell you now. You're gonna be speaking to the audience, but you'll be speaking to me from this moment forward because that's a major part of my life is anger and kuri and and getting things get allowing that to get in the way of my service and in my life.
SPEAKER_00Uh, same here. This message is frontline to me. And I battle with irritableness. I'm always irritated. Once I can get irritated, I get bad. Yeah, I got the shortest shoes in the world. I don't want that no more. We're gonna we're gonna repent of it today. We're gonna get delivered from this. And a delay. You go to the airport, you want to fly, you're flying somewhere, and there's a delay. It's a nervous breakdown.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you have anger, you get nervous.
SPEAKER_00No time for delays no more.
SPEAKER_01Me and her almost killed each other when we're coming home from California.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because of the delays.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was a nervous breakdown.
SPEAKER_00No more delays no more. The Bible says wherever the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Amen. Be free today in the name of Jesus, and hindrance will stop your spiritual growth, your prayer life, and fellowship with God. So let's look what Ephesians chapter 4, 26 through 27 says. And don't sin by letting anger control you. Don't let the sun go down while you're still angry. For anger gives a foothold to the devil. The ESV says this give no opportunity to the devil. One time I'm driving in New York City and I see contractors working and Gajo's using a rock drill. And while I'm driving, I see him using a rock drill. The rock drill breaks on the Gajot. He's moving the latch. He's trying to have it. It's broke. I looked, I'm gonna give him my card. There's an opportunity for me to make money. Right. Sir, hey, where's the foreman? He's over here. I see the rock drill's broke. Yeah, they just broke it. That's what I do. No way, you do that. Yeah, but give me take it, give it to him. Give me an estimate. Whatever I did to the job. That's the six million dollar job, right? So I seen the opportunity to make money. Right. Well, when you have anger, Satan sees his opportunity to come get you. That's his opportunity to bring destruction. That's his broken rock drill. That's the broken rock drill. That's uh I always I seen the boys put up a video there somewhere, and two cars hit each other and they're arguing about the bumper or whatever, and one of the boys, hey my friend, I do body work, oh get to work, and now he's working. They seen the opportunity to make money. That never happened to me. Every time I do body work, all right, we'll call you it then every time. You had don't you never had the opportunity?
SPEAKER_01No, I never had the opportunity.
SPEAKER_00Well, when you have anger, you're giving the opportunity to Satan. We don't want to give him opportunities. We don't want to open doors for him. We don't want to let nothing to do with him in our lives when you have anger. That's what we do. Now Jesus had anger. Did Jesus do wrong? No. There's two different angers. There's a righteous anger, which you're right. You're angry that something happened to do with um wrong with your family. Like my Emma did something wrong. I was angry with her. I got mad at her. Emma, don't do that no more. That's wrong. After that, life went on. It is what it is. You can have those little angers, but when you have that hourie and anger that brings horribleness, that's the one the devil takes his opportunity in. Look what the fire bible says on this scripture. It's self-explanatory, this commentary. Ready? Yet there is also anger that is justified because it is based on devotion to God and his standards of right and wrong, truth and falsehood, justice and injustice. So there's a right way to get angry. Yeah, of course. You can be angry. We've seen Jesus get angry at the time. Yes, exactly. But even in times when anger is justified and in touch with God's own feelings, we must be careful not to act or respond in ways that could dishonor God. To do so allows anger to control us. Giving Satan a prime opportunity. Prime, that means prime time. You're giving him prime opportunity to stir up that anger into resentment, bitterness, or hurtful actions that lead to greater evil, including divisions among Christians. That is why God's word says that we must never let our anger outlast a day. We seen people, and that even happened to me, that my anger lacks lasted for weeks. Lasted for weeks and weeks, went even to months, and you know where that led me? Bitterness. Absolutely. It led me to jealousy, led to pride, all the things that was hindered that we learned about hindrance. Anger, my brothers and sisters, is the work of Satan. Don't let anger get to you. Because guess what's gonna happen? It leads to bitterness. And when that bitterness comes in, when that root is there, oh it is horrible, and it's not easy to deal with. Then when you're angry, you say things that you don't mean. You say things to people that hurt their feelings. You say things to people that bizarre, you say it. You you say hurtful things, and now that person's hurt, you make that person angry. Anger gives birth to anger. Now everyone's mad, everyone's aggravated. A lot of times when I'm mad, I don't answer the phone. John Ashley's will call me. Oh, you're in a bad mood, we're hanging up. And he's right, I'm in a bad mood, I'm angry, and I don't want to get no one to where I am. We gotta come against it. It is bringing a hindrance to you. We close with this. We learned earlier, I said that I believe it's 2 Corinthians 3 16. And it is where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Amen. Today, maybe you're angry. Angry at your parents, your mother, your father, angry at your brother, your sister, maybe even angry at your papa, mommy. You could be angry at your pastor, at one of the church workers. Or you could be angry at a situation. You could be angry at a situation, your wife, your husband, you could be even angry at your kids. Don't let it get to the bitterness. Stop giving the opportunity to Satan. We should have nothing to do with him. Keep him far away. And when we give him an opportunity, prime opportunity, he brings destruction to us. And wherever Satan is, is bad. We've been saying in the podcast, wherever Jesus goes, he does good, he leaves an impact. Well, Satan does the reverse side. He brings destruction, he leaves a mark. We gotta come against him in the name of Jesus. Stop being angry, have joy, have peace. There's no reason to. Everything's okay, everything's gonna be alright. Put your tray or your trust and faith in the Lord. And that's what we learned today that what could bring hindrance to you is anger. Get rid of it, be delivered, and repent of it.
SPEAKER_01Amen. Amen. Uh video is nothing to add to that. Bottom line, you said the key. You're given the prime opportunity. Well, prime opportunity is it's the perfect and best opportunity possible. Absolutely. It's hard enough to live an everyday life. It's hard enough to live a Christian life. Why are we trying to make it more hard and give more opportunity to the enemy, more opportunity to the evil spirits and principalities that's ruling in this world? Stop giving the prime opportunity and start giving your full attention, focus, and devotion to God.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Amen. And if you're battling this, today is the day you'll be delivered. And let's pray. Lord in the name of Jesus. If we ever have anger, let it be a righteous anger. Yes, Jesus. Let it be for your justice, let it be for your devotion. Nothing to do, devlah, with our flesh. Any anger we have, any church that's involved with us, we come against it in the name of Jesus. Help us be delivered from Kako Churi, Devla. We don't want to have Devla Kako anger. And Devla, there's someone there now. It's a stronghold on them. It's a bondage, Devla, Godo Khuri. We pray that you break those chains now as they ask to be delivered. As they raise their hands now and they're asking, Devlah, to remove it, remove it from them and give them a testimony. And may they testify that they have no more anger. In the name of Jesus, Devla, bless this day and protect us all. We love you, Lord. Amen and amen.
SPEAKER_01Amen and amen. Thank you, Lord. What a beautiful way to start off this week.
SPEAKER_00Amen.
SPEAKER_01Have no more churi in your heart. Amen. And the words of Deacon Viddy, let's move forward. We love you guys. God bless. God bless.
