Good morning and welcome to Fresh Mercy Podcast, where God's mercy is fresh for you each and every morning.

SPEAKER_00

Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, iTunes, everything and everybody. We want to thank the Lord. We're coming to a close of this week of podcasts. Oh no. It's Thursday. It's Thursday.

SPEAKER_01

We're getting mixed up again.

SPEAKER_00

Because the boys spotted. It's their fault. Well, whatever. We thank the Lord. We have two more episodes of the week. Yes. And we give God all glory, honor, and praise. We thank the Lord for Angelo, John, and Frankie who came on. May the Lord bless them in their prospective ministry. And I pray in the name of Jesus that the fresh anointing will always be upon them to do the Lord's work. What we are closing out is the hindrance series, right? Closing out something. I remembered. Yes. I know some of these words. So, Deacon Vinny, are you ready to close out the series on hindrance? Which I have to say is very insightful because I see all these things in my life. Well, me too. So I thank the Lord because you you gave light to them. Now I pray in the name of Jesus that the Lord will take this away from me. And I don't want to deliver, I don't want to hinder or delay anymore. Delinder. I don't want to deliver anymore. Donnie is wild. I am why I'm hungry, that's why. Well, today Charlie's I'm in a goofy mood now.

SPEAKER_01

Today we're closing on the hindrance series. We learned about we're learning about five things. We learned that jealousy will hinder you, pride will hinder you, laziness will hinder you, anger will hinder you, and today we're learning you yourself will hinder you. Wow. Yourself. Wow, that's good. Being in the flesh will hinder you. And if you didn't know what hinder means, in the series we're learning, a hindrance is a person or right thing that interferes with, slows down, or acts as an obstacle to stop a progress or an action, a delay, slowed down and held back. And all of those things, all the things we're learning about and learned, will bring a hindrance to your spiritual growth. I know people that's been Christian 25 plus years and they know nothing. And Shimangov they didn't nipulajav. They'll tell you, Pay 25 years old, I don't even know how to know the Bible. I don't read the Bible. I don't know the scriptures. I never got better. There's a reason. There was something in life that hindered you and held you back. Like someone that's supposed to be in 10th grade, they're still in third grade. Right. They was held back because they didn't do the work. Something hindered you. It was pride, it was jealousy, it was anger, it was laziness. It hindered you. Most likely you hindered yourself. You was the hindrance. Stopped your spiritual growth, stopped your prayer life and fellowship with God. And all I'm gonna do is read the scripture and explain it as we go. And I'm not holding back. I'm gonna read the scripture. Let the Lord lead you in the name of Jesus. Galatians 5 16 21. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your life. Don't then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. We have options every day. Follow the Holy Spirit or follow our sinful nature. What's your choice today? After I read this, I think you're gonna make the right choice. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the spirit wants. And the spirit gives us desires that are opposite of what our sinful nature desires. So the Holy Spirit wants you to pray, your flesh wants you not to pray. The Holy Spirit wants you to read the Bible, your flesh wants you to go on Instagram and look for trouble. The Holy Spirit wants you to go to church and be a part of the revival and be a part of what's going on in Christianity. Your flesh wants you to be in the world, enjoying the nightlife, being evil. All day this is going on. A complete opposite. They're at war, they're constantly at trouble. These two forces are constantly fighting each other. So you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you're directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. What does that mean? When I live in the Spirit, I don't gotta follow the law. No, what happens is the law was to show you how sinful you are, how wrong you are. So now, before Jesus died, before the Holy Spirit was given to everyone, people would cry, How am I gonna follow the law? I can't follow the law. But there was no other way, right? But Jesus came, died for us, resurrected, sent the Holy Spirit. Now, when we live in the Spirit, we are not obligated to follow the law for salvation. Right. What happens is when we're in the Spirit, following the law comes naturally. Following the things of the Bible comes natural because of the Holy Spirit. Yes, and we're gonna learn that.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's good.

SPEAKER_00

Slow down, hungry. You're hindering me.

SPEAKER_01

You're lindering me. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear. So now you're saying to yourself, Oh, what is my sinful nature? Am I following it? Am I living in it? What is it? Who am I? Who are you? Well, I'm gonna read the list that the Holy Spirit wrote down through the Apostle Paul to the Church of Galatia, and we're gonna see it. Ready? This is what the sinful nature is sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, meaning arguments and fights, jealousy, outburst of anger. Now, ain't that something that we learned about jealousy hinders you and we learned that anger hinders you? Guess what else does? Selfish ambition, which is pride. Did you get that? Dissension, meaning disagreements, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I've before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the kingdom of God.

SPEAKER_00

Did you guys understand that? Excuse me, I gotta drink some water.

SPEAKER_01

Because the flesh, which is evilness, will not inherit the kingdom of God. But those that are born again, that are in Christ will inherit the kingdom of God. And we learned all those things, and I got news for you. If you're living in that, these are two things. Either you're not born again, or you are a Christian, but you're not really walking after the Spirit.

SPEAKER_00

This is why the scripture was written, where Paul said, Let the Holy Spirit guide your life, not your flesh. Now, Paul can't say that to a person that's a non-believer. Very good. You have to make that distinction. He said, Let the Holy Spirit guide your life, meaning that you are a part of the plan and family of God. Very good. So if you are a part of that plan and family of God, you shouldn't be led by your emotion or these desires. These shouldn't be your desires anymore, but rather be led by the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah. Amen, deacon. And I want to say this. Is this what you're saying? You gotta be perfect? I want to make this clear. When I was small, I was two or three year old. I was jumping up and down, and I bust my head on the window seal. Am I saying it right? Window cell. Yeah. It's okay. So am I saying it right all the time? Windowsill. And I had a big gash. I think it was here or here. I'm not sure. I think here. Had a big gash. And who was there? And Patsy, the pastor Sam's mother, and she put a stitch for me, a butterfly stitch. And I was two or three year old. Now I'm 35 and I still have the scar. And there's people today that you had uh a cut or something or some kind of injury, and this it left the scar. Well, because we are in the flesh, and because of Adam's disobedience, it left the scar on us, and that's called the flesh. Even though you're born again and the Holy Spirit lives in your heart, the flesh is still there. It didn't go away. The flesh won't go away until we go to heaven. So you are still under the flesh. This is why we need to follow the Holy Spirit. Amen. Now look what it says in the verses 22 and 26 of the same chapter, Galatians chapter 5. But the Holy Spirit, hallelujah! But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things. Why? Because you're following the law. You're in Christ, you're following the law because Jesus fulfilled the law and you are in him. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. You nailed your passions and desires when you believed in Jesus, nail them there and crucify them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit's leading in our every part of our lives. You believe in Jesus, you believe you're a Christian? Follow the Holy Spirit, follow his guidance, live by him. Let us not become conceited or provoke one another or be jealous of one another. There's too many Christians provoking one another, getting them angry, trying to get on their nerves, being um, I want to say the right word, being a hindrance, being annoying, uh being conceited, being jealous of one another, stop it. Follow the Holy Spirit and live for Jesus. I think so pendant Jesus on the Luke 9, 22, 24. And he said to all, all of them, not some, not a little, not a little, no, all of them. If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. Amen. The biggest hindrance in your life is you, because your sinful nature produces all those kind of evilnesses. But the Holy Spirit who lives in our heart, those who are born again, produces everything good of God. And Jesus said, if you want to be my follower, deny yourself, deny those evil things, deny the sinful nature, deny it, get rid of it. How do you deny it? Jesus showed you the ultimate way to deny it. Pick up your cross. Amen. Crucify it daily. When you get up in the morning, we learn, get up and say, Lord, give me your promises, give me your blessings. Like John taught us yesterday, Lord, you are my good shepherd. Amen. I shall not want. Take care of me today and add something to the prayer. You know what you say, Lord? I want to deny myself today. I don't want to be in the sinful nature today. There's too many people we see as Christians claim to be Christians that live in the sinful nature, that live as evil, that live as horribleness, and live in darkness. I won't talk. I'm a Christian. Stop it. If you are a Christian, deny the flesh, deny evilness, deny darkness, deny all those monolithic schemes, and live in Christ. Live by the Spirit. Stop living in a hindrance. You are not praying, you are not following the scriptures, you are not following God. May the Holy Spirit fill you now, deliver you, set you free. Don't live in the dark no more. Live in the light because Jesus came and brought us light, and we end there and we end the series here.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, Jesus. What a way to end the series.

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah. No more hindrances. Stop it. Stop the delay and be delivered in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. Vinny, just pray for the people.

SPEAKER_01

Lord, me personally, I don't want no more hindrances, God. I don't want to be jealous. I don't want to have pride. I don't want to be lazy. I don't want to have anger. And I don't want to follow the sinful nature no more. I want to be in your spirit, Lord. I want to follow the nature of Jesus. I want to follow God. And whoever's watching now, may they be delivered in the name of Jesus. Maybe there's a few people angry with me that's fighting for their lives, like Jesus said. But Lord, let them know that if they're fighting for their lives, they're going to lose it. But if they give their lives to Jesus, they will save it. So Lord, may your word go forward and bless those who need it. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and amen.

SPEAKER_00

Amen and amen. What a way to close out the series and the week. We thank the Lord for whoever watches. Oh no, tomorrow's the ending of the week. Oh my God, I keep doing this.

SPEAKER_01

God bless you guys. God bless those news tomorrow. Hallelujah.
