Good morning and welcome to Fresh Mercy Podcast, where God's mercy is fresh for you each and every morning. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. We are at episode 50. Wow, praise the Lord. And because we're at episode 50, we wanted to make it a special podcast. Thank you, Jesus. We are on the other side of the studio. We have the men of God that was with us these couple weeks. We have our brother John. We got Angelo Dew, Deacon Frank.

SPEAKER_00

Praise the Lord.

SPEAKER_04

And we're doing another episode of Let's Talk About Jesus. Amen.

SPEAKER_01

Part six. My favorite episodes is the Let's Talk About Jesus episodes.

SPEAKER_04

They are unbelievable. It's just a conversation talking about Jesus. And uh Donnie, you were talking about something earlier that you wanted to mention about Jesus. Let us know what was uh like what's on your mind that you want to talk about Jesus about.

SPEAKER_01

Well, when I was getting ready and studying for the podcast, uh I was going over verses and scriptures, and if you guys seen the episodes, I talked about Jesus going back to his hometown. Yeah. And I was saying to myself, but how they rejected Jesus and how that must have made him feel. And here's the problem, guys. A lot of times we make Jesus to be like Superman. And what does that mean? He's like a superhero. He came, he saved us, he had a role to do, he did his job. But we're forgetting the humanity part of Christ, Angelo. And I it it when I read certain verses, it hurts my heart. Like you see verses where he wept where his friend died, and then you see verses where he got angry and he got uh hungry and thirsty. There's even verses where you see him sleeping. Jesus Exactly, he was tired. Yeah. So the verse that I want to talk about, and then we're just gonna talk about the humanity side of Jesus. Yeah. Uh it's in John chapter 6, verse 66. And uh Jesus, this is right after Jesus feeds the 5,000, and now they're going and they're walking, everybody's with them, and then everyone started arguing with him, and like they mentioned, like, all right, yeah, so what? You you fed the 5,000, you we saw the miracle, but Moses did that in the wilderness with our ancestors. Right. Because what they were saying is, why should we listen to you? Why should we question you? When it's because we did a miracle, but Moses did the miracle too. And then Jesus says that I'm the bread from heaven that comes down. If you want to be a part of me, you have to eat my flesh and drink my blood. And they couldn't understand it. It said that there was a hard saying for them to understand, guys. It wasn't easy for them. It wasn't easy for them, and they walked away, and many of them started departing. And this is verse 66. At this point, many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Like Chi Mila, they were his disciples. Yeah, they were people that followed him, Angelo. Yeah. Then Jesus turned to the twelve and asked, Are you also going to leave? You guys too. Are you guys leaving too? And when I read that, it brings tears to my eyes because he just now seen a multitude, thousands of people departing from what he had to say. And now, how did that must have made him feel that after he did miracles, he did healings, he did teachings, he has this big, amazing following, people that are coming and interacting with him and gonna be a part of the kingdom. And then was a Jesus says something, and it's so mind-blowing for them that they were they turn away and they walk away from him. They weren't ready and willing to accept Jesus for who he was. They wasn't willing to accept Jesus as the Messiah.

SPEAKER_04

And Donnie, look how look what else was hurting. It wasn't just a bunch of people that Jesus just met. Many of them was his disciples. Yeah, it was his students, students, followers, they were followers of his teaching, followers of him, seeing everything, and they deserted him, they left him.

SPEAKER_01

How did that must have made him feel? Fellows, if you guys go somewhere and you guys don't call me and I see you guys all together, I want to kill you. I want to cry. It's a disaster. Yeah, it's bad. It's bad. Alright, now these guys deliberately walked out of his face and deserted him. It's very, very heartbreaking, but look what happens. After Jesus asked this question, what did he ask again? He asked, Are you going to leave two? He asked the twelve. He asked the twelve disciples. And Simon Peter replied with this Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Praise the Lord. Jesus was the one who has authority, has eternal life, he has salvation to offer. Many of those people walked away sad, but the twelve stood. The twelve stood by him. And let's just look about it this way. His twelve best friends stood by his side. And Jesus gave them such an honor that when we go to heaven, there'll be twelve thrones. And on sitting on those twelve thrones are those twelve.

SPEAKER_04

Ain't that something? Amazing. John Zarrow taught us something. Shout out to John Zarrow. We love you, Jay-Z. That it's easy for us to understand Jesus is God. But it's not easy for us to understand that he's a human. Very good. Because we see the miracles, we hear the beautiful teachings, we read the Bible because this is God. But then do you realize, guys, John, that Jesus was a normal man like you?

SPEAKER_03

We realize when we think about Jesus, we understand, okay, he's 100% God, but we dig 100% man, but we think of man in that three year span. We don't think other 30 years. Hey, very good. Very good, John. He was a carpenter. He was a carpenter.

SPEAKER_04

He went to work. He had family.

SPEAKER_03

He was a baby. He had to learn how to walk. He had to learn how to talk. He went to school, probably, had to learn how to do things. He had a favorite food. Yep. His fat his uh this other bad family got mad at him. Absolutely. He argued with his friends, like understanding normal life.

SPEAKER_04

Then we learn at a few episodes back uh that when Jesus went to his hometown, the Gage said, We know him.

SPEAKER_03

We know his brothers, we know his mother, his sisters, and his average man. He was a hundred percent man for 30 years, for 33 years, but the 30 years before the ministry he was born.

SPEAKER_04

He was always God, he was 100% man, 100% God. But you said something. His ministry didn't start till he was 30. For the 30 years, he was he was God, yes.

SPEAKER_03

Of course, he was 100% God, but 100%.

SPEAKER_04

But we don't understand he lived a life before that. We only know Jesus of the scriptures.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Divana said a common life. Yeah, he had a common life, he had a job, a family to supply for. Very good. Hey, it was common.

SPEAKER_03

He made money, he was a carpenter, he had to work, he had to do things. Very good. He left, he got tired, he went home, but hey, he was a man.

SPEAKER_02

Normal man. I could imagine the scene of Jesus giving the offer of take my body, take my blood, and everyone walked away and deserted him. Looking at all those people, Jesus knowing that he's dying for them. That they will have forgiveness and salvation offered to them.

SPEAKER_03

They had no idea.

SPEAKER_02

And they had no idea and they walked away. Until today, if there was those people who were alive, they could have salvation if they accept Jesus.

SPEAKER_04

Very good. Very good.

SPEAKER_02

Even though they deserted him and they walked away.

SPEAKER_04

Jesus still died for them.

SPEAKER_01

Even though they walked away, he still died for them. Hey, and look, Angelo, what an amazing point to bring up because while their backs are turned and they're walking, right? And Jesus is seeing them walk away, knowing that he's gonna have to be on that cross for those people. Yeah. Angelo, I I my brain didn't even comprehend that because I I wasn't thinking about the cross at that moment because it was early in the ministry or whatever the case, middle of the ministry. But really and truly, Chachez, how did that make him feel that he has to die for those people? And they deserted him. Now, like I said, if it was you guys, I would have hate you all. I would have hated them all.

SPEAKER_04

Look what I would say. If let's say I was in that predicament and I'm dying on the cross, I would say, Father forgive them, but the guys that deserve to be mecha been and crazy. The guys that left me, we're good. Because that's me. I'm I'm bad. But Jesus is good. And he still died for them. He is He is a God of love.

SPEAKER_01

It just goes behind our comprehension of his love. We'll never be able to understand.

SPEAKER_02

No. You know what's another thing to think about? Put the mic closer, Angel, because I feel you. I'm sorry. I don't want to. Come on, you're an audio technician. What's going on here? There's another thing that I think about is that Jesus offered them who he was. They didn't accept him. But you don't see Jesus calling them back and chasing them. Oh, very good at it. Begging. Hey, come back. Begging them very good. There's many people that were still begging to come to church, to come to Bible studies. We're begging them and begging them and they're not expecting. This podcast is not long enough.

SPEAKER_04

Uh-huh. Uh Angel stayed there. Yeah. So what happens is what you're saying, we call people, we try to reach out to them, we try to give them the Bible, they're not interested. I saw me. No, come back, come back, come back. Are we wrong or right for doing this?

SPEAKER_02

It's always good to witness to our people. It's always good to call our people to church. But realize what Jesus did. He wasn't chasing them. He gave the offer and they deserted him.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, uh, Jesus, in that same what we learned earlier, where or was it yes last week? We learned how Jesus went and told the disciples to go out two by two. Yeah. He said, Don't take anything with you guys, right? But look what he said. If they don't accept you, or if they don't take care of you, or if they don't accept the message, dust the sandals from your feet and leave. Yeah. He didn't say stay until they get it. He never said, stay there until they get it. Pour into them, beg them, plead to them. Don't leave until they accept. He never said that. He said, give them the offer. If they don't accept, walk away. Because we gotta imagine, we gotta understand this too. God gives the offer of salvation, knowing that not everyone's gonna receive. Very good. Very good. But he still gives the offer. But just because they left doesn't mean they'll never be able to accept.

SPEAKER_03

No, no. They could always accept. If those gaj came back, Jesus would accept them. Absolutely. They always have the opportunity.

SPEAKER_04

There was a gajo, his name was Joseph of Amateria or Amateurus. I can't pronounce it. Amateuria, I think. Yes. And he was a secret disciple. We never learned about him or knew about him until Jesus died. Very good. So there was a secret disciple. There were secret followers of Jesus that we didn't know about. Those probably, maybe those people that deserted, the next day went back to him. Jesus, I'm sorry. We don't know. We don't know. But we do know this. Hey, that happened. But whoever goes to Jesus and says, I'm sorry. I want, I want to be your son, I want to be your daughter, he will accept you.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_04

He does not push you away. No, never. He receives you.

SPEAKER_02

That is our promise.

SPEAKER_04

Hey, that's the promise of salvation. Very good. Because he died for all. We just did an assignment on the equip class. Body, shout out to the equip class and all the the students. We did an assignment on the atonement. Is it limited or unlimited?

SPEAKER_00

I got an 83.

SPEAKER_04

Frank got an 83. Frankie, what was your critique?

SPEAKER_00

I got none job. There was no critique.

SPEAKER_04

Is the atonement that Jesus died on the cross for sins? Was it for a limited people or unlimited?

SPEAKER_01

Well, you gotta it depends on how you interpret the scriptures. Do you interpret them in the Calvinistic point of view? Or do you can terror or you uh look at them in the way interpreted in the way of our minionist?

SPEAKER_04

We're gonna interpret it the way it is. Very good. He died for the world. Amen. Amen. I don't care where you stand. That is the truth. He died for the world, and whoever believes in him shall be saved. And if you are a if you're not a Christian and you're saying to yourself, I'm a sinner, I'm horrible, God won't accept me. You go to Jesus because he died for you and he loves you and he paid your price. And what was the price? The price was debt. You couldn't pay that price, what he paid for us to get to heaven. He paid it. The price was his debt on the cross and he resurrected. Amen. Amen. Very good. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_01

I would say this we all hold to unlimited atonement. Amen. Because we believe that Jesus gives the invitation to all. Now, some might disagree, and if they do, they're still our brothers in Christ.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, they do.

SPEAKER_01

It's not uh a heresy to the point of they're denying God. It's just uh something that we don't agree on.

SPEAKER_02

It's not a salvational issue.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, it's not. But I will say this what is a salvational issue is this that Jesus does offer an invitation. And if you do not believe, if you don't put your faith and trust in Jesus, if you desert Jesus, then you won't be saved.

SPEAKER_02

That's just that simple.

SPEAKER_01

It's that simple. To be a part of the family of God, to partake in the benefits of God, to walk in his spirit, to have a newness of life and an assurance of salvation is to believe in Jesus. Hallelujah. Do not desert him.

SPEAKER_04

No, don't desert him.

SPEAKER_01

We started off with the podcast saying that many of people deserted him. And we're gonna come full circle to this. Don't desert Jesus. He's always willing to accept you. Even if you deserted him before, don't worry, come back.

SPEAKER_04

Amen. Come back.

SPEAKER_01

You haven't been involved in church, it's okay, come back. Come back. You haven't been involved in the Bible, it's okay, come back. You haven't been in prayer, it's okay. Go back to your Lord. Always willing to accept you. No matter what side you stand on, whether it be uh limited or unlimited atonement, whether it be you believe in the gifts or you don't believe in the gifts uh that is uh available today. No matter how you stand on doctrine, theology, or whatever the case may be, if you believe in Christ crucified, you'll be saved. Amen.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. I have no words to say how blessed we are to be a part of this podcast.

SPEAKER_01

I want to talk for one hour.

SPEAKER_04

I guess they're all here. I want to snap. But it's the time of the episode that we have to close. We thank God for you. We love you. Deacon Frank, can you close us out in prayer? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. We thank you for this week. We thank you for this podcast. Lord, you've given our church this platform to reach out to the world.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah, Lord.

SPEAKER_00

So, Lord, I pray that every person who watches this podcast, that they wouldn't be like those people who walked away from Jesus, but they would draw near to Jesus. Hallelujah, Lord. Holy Spirit, draw us to you. Lord, touch your people, and may the unsaved person receive salvation. May the person who's battling sickness receive healing. May a person who's battling anxiety receive peace. And we can receive all these blessings and all these things that heaven has to offer through you, Jesus. Bless us, God. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

SPEAKER_04

Amen and amen. Praise the Lord from Fresh Mercy Podcast. We love you. God bless. God bless.
