For years I (@JTHundp) have been casting weekly e-mail messages to colleagues of the United Nations Development Programme (@UNDP) on topical issues of development, resilience and recovery in Nigeria, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen. Presented by a wannabee radio news-maker and anchor (OOG Omroep Groningen https://www.oogtv.nl/, The Netherlands), this podcast hopes to inform, inspire and stir the pot for UNDP colleagues and other humanitarian and development professionals.

Following the cyclones that hit Mozambique hard earlier in 2019, UNDP quickly ramped up it's capacity in the capital and in the areas where the human suffering was most hard-felt. Significant human and financial investments were made and as a result, UNDP is now in the lead supporting the Government of Mozambique in looking after its most vulnerable citizens. Deodat was deployed in early stages of the UNDP response and supported the UNDP Country Office for 6 months.
