ReVision Podcast
No matter what your age is or what your background is, we have all had a dream in our hearts. There are some where their dreams have all come true and a few have had no roadblocks to be told. Then there are the rest of us who have seen our dreams go from the proverbial back burner to the middle eye to the back burner to being cancelled. It is easy to get jaded and wonder why others seem to have everything answered for them. That is why this podcast was created - to give those a voice in the conversation that struggle with their faith, question God on their purpose, or even fight the urge to give up.
The name revision is a two-part word;
Re = Again.
Vision= The manner in which one sees or conceives something.
My goal is to help us to have a conversation of hope, determination, and to once again dream when we feel that we want to give up.
am and hope.

When You Want to Throw in the Towel
Anything worth building is going to be hard. You will have days when you want to throw in the towel. We are not designed to quit. We are not designed to give up. We are designed to add and to multiply.
There will be people who will come to stop you. They will put barriers in your path. They will try everything in their power to keep you from doing what you need to do.
Today we will talk about people who wanted to give up but didn't. Historically, we have seen many what we call as great leaders be people who simply tried over and over until they succeeded. Abraham Lincoln is one of my favorite people to read about.
He failed at business. He failed at politics when he ran for congress and lost including two senate and two-house seats. He failed in relationships with the loss of his first fiancée, the death of three of his children, and his wife's own struggles. Yet he went on to become a great president.
When inventing the light bulb, Thomas Edison was asked about his failures. He was attributed with the quote "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
In Biblical times, we find many characters who did not give up but persevered.
Smith Wigglesworth said "The greatest weakness in the world is unbelief. When there is fidelity between you and God and the love of God is so real that you feel that you can do anything for Jesus, all the promises are yea and amen to those who believe."
1 John 4:4 tells us that "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he is who is in the world."
You cannot overcome unless you are faced with challenges. Sure, you can "avoid" those challenges, but the challenges will still come. You will always be presented with opportunities to overcome or to give up. John 16:33 tells us that we can be assured of one thing...we will have trials but that we can trust that Jesus has already overcome them. Victory is a choice.
You can now watch episodes on our YouTube channel and our Rumble channel! It's not perfect yet but remember what I always say; better to produced and imperfect than be left on the shelf for no one to see or hear.
