(#44) Stewart Isaacs Pt. 2 - Using Music to Prime Your Mind for Competitive Jump Rope Events
Jul 31, 2020 Episode 44
Nathaniel Kroll-Goldschlag

“Jump rope is a part of it, yes. But at the end of the day, it’s a convening of people, making them feel like a part of something greater.” —Stewart Isaacs

Stewart Isaacs is one of the top tier world champion jumpers, with a massive amount of experience in the sport. In addition to jump rope, he's also pursuing a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. Needless to say, Stewart brings a lot of great perspective to table. So much so, that we recorded over 3 hours of conversation! I’ll be splitting up our chat into three parts, with this being the first.

In this part of our chat we continue to dig through speed training, Stewart explains why performing is such a vital part of being a competitive jumper, we look at why the Stanford college jump rope team was so successful, and a lot more.

Please enjoy!
