2 Samuel 11:1-16 We explore the story of David, Bathsheba, Uriah, and the prophet Nathan. Instead of the usual focus on David who sins, and eventually repents, we will focus on Bathsheba who though innocent, lost a lot. God redeems her story over a period of time, even including her in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1. This story helps connect OT and NT by showing that God’s covenant is to bring justice for the oppressed, victims, and mistreated.
