About Manisha
Manisha Tailor is an inspirational Football Coach and FA Tutor based in the United Kingdom. Manisha currently works at national football league club QPR FC as their Academy FP.  Manisha is also a qualified Head School Teacher, the founder of her own brand Swaggarlicious and an author  of her debut book 'Child in Mind'  Manisha’s previous exemplary work includes: ‘Simply Being’, a project which engages those with mental illness by providing an inclusive safe environment to engage in physical activity within the Borough of Barnet.  She is a UEFA B licensed football coach, making her a minority of the highest qualified Asian females in the country.  Manisha previously worked as Head Coach at a Girls Centre of Excellence, a professional FA academy in which she inspires girls into football. As well as an influence with charity, ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ Having endured the difficulties of being an Asian woman in football, and experiencing personal family tragedy, Manisha has worked tirelessly to overcome life’s toughest challenges, whilst coaching the younger generation. 

In 2017 Manisha’s fantastic work was recognised when she was awarded an MBE for her services to football and diversity in sport.

 

On this episode of My Perfect Failure (Football and Making a Difference) We discuss how football has played an integral part in Manisha’s life and how she has used her special relationship with the sport to overcome personal challenges and to inspire women in sport from all communities and those suffering from mental illness.  Some of the areas we cover.
