You're listening to Maybe You're Like Me, the transparent musings of a God girl chasing after her purpose. Maybe You're Like Me is a podcast for dreamers and doers who take life's lessons and level up to look more like Christ. We'll connect through super relatable stories, growing pains, and aha moments that most of us share, just not always out loud. I'm your host, Alicia Watson, creative entrepreneur, playwright, author, wife, mother, daughter of the king, and so much more. And I can't help but to think that maybe you're like me.
Hey, beautiful people, welcome or welcome back to this podcast. This is Maybe You're Like Me with Alicia Watson and I'm your host, Alicia Watson. It's season four, baby. We're back. We're back. Can you believe that? It's been a wild ride, man. Y'all, I started this podcast November 19th, 2019. That's six years ago.
I'm back now with season 4. So we did three seasons over six years. It's been a slow walk, but it's been a walk. We didn't stop. We're not stopping. And it's because it's an assignment. It's ministry. It's what I've been told to do and I must complete the task. And so I'm here with season 4 and I'm excited about it.
It's been two years since season three ended and I said at the end of the last episode that I'll be back in six short weeks and it has not been six short weeks. It's been two long years. But in those years I have learned so much. I have lived so much. I have done a lot of work, a lot of healing work. I've grown in wisdom. I've grown closer to the Lord. I have so much to share.
And I can't wait to share it all with you guys or most of it. Not all of it. I've learned we don't want to share everything, but I've got a lot to share. I've always had a lot to share. There are over 60 episodes in seasons one through three. So if you want to get reacquainted, I suggest you go back and listen to those before we jump into season four. If you need some recommendations, you can start with episodes 33, 34, 45, 46 and 53. Those are fan favorites. And I do want to shout out my listeners in Germany, which is apparently my second most listened to country behind the United States, which is really, really cool. I have no idea how you found me or how many of you there are that listen. Maybe it's one person who just listens on repeat. Thank you. And if it's a lot of people, thank you. I'm just really amazed at how God uses people and
I didn't imagine that my voice would reach across the globe and impact people, but it has, and I'm thankful for that. So thank you all for listening, for sharing. In Germany, the United States, and all over the world, I was going through my analytics the other day, and I'm like, some of these places I can't pronounce, I gotta Google. But you've heard and you listen there, so it's just awesome, and I'm thankful because I want people to know about the Lord,
to be interested in learning about Him, not just through me, through your own studies, through your own research, through your own relationship, because it's a beautiful thing to do, to know for yourself and to have your own relationship with Him. So hopefully I, as your sister in Christ, have helped you to feel more connected to Him, to see Him and His truth and to desire to seek Him.
So family, this season's theme is faith, focus and finishing strong because that's the theme of my life right now. And if you're like me, you're going to put your blinders on and you're going to move full speed ahead because we want to hear well done. That's what this season is about. There's so much practical ways I want to apply what I'm learning in and through scriptures this season to my life because
honestly, I just want to see things change. It's been a rough few years. If you've listened to season three, you know that. And I know that if I want to see change, it starts with me. So a lot of practical faith plus works is going to be going on here. So get ready. I hope that you're ready to journey with me and do your own work of putting your faith in action. You're going to love the season if you have been fighting fear and anxiety. You're to love it if you're struggling with your faith and in trusting the Lord for various reasons. It's not just the surface reasons, but there are so many things that go on and that are going on in this world, especially if you're here in the United States that make you say, God, do you see this? You saw what they did, right? You see this happening, don't you? Are you here? Where are you? And what you gonna do about it? Well, if that's how you feel, this is a great season for you, because we're gonna talk.
We're gonna talk about those moments of doubts, of fear, of not understanding and hopefully be inspired to seek that understanding and be encouraged in the word. And then lastly, if you're ready to focus and ignore the distractions, because I believe distraction is a trick of the enemy. It's a strategy of the enemy to get us off our task, off of track, on a detour, going down all the wrong roads and.
through the deepest, darkest trails of nothingness that don't allow us to finish strong. I want to do deeper dives into encouraging us to stay focused and not be distracted and not be dismayed and not be disheartened and not be discouraged. And that'll be a big part of this season as well. And of course, anything else the Holy Spirit wants to do in and through me, wants to say through me, I'm gonna open my mouth and let him because he knows better than I do what y'all want to hear and what you need to hear.
So yeah, it's my hope and prayer that this season encourages you and empowers you to get on God's page and to let your love and fear of him guide and protect you in spite of everything that's going on. We're moving forward guys. Let's get it. I'm going to still release every Monday. I don't know how long the season will be. Currently, I think I'm sitting at 65 episodes, so maybe this one will end at 100 episodes so I can hit that milestone.
Anyways, that's all I have for you today. Okay, bye!
