This week the Message is from the week of April 26th 2026 with Pastor Travis Titled The Christian Home as we go deeper in the teachings from the Book of Colossians.

So Far we covered
Week One. Don’t add to Jesus/. Don’t Amalgamate the old with the new
Week two. Dress for Success/ Chose what you wear/ old or new
Week Three. The Christian Home/

A couple things we must understand:
1) He had never been to Colossi, regarding The Christian home he is summarizing
what he taught the church in Ephesus, so we will revert back to The Book of
Ephesians Aswell, for context
2) Understand that what I covered last week is essential to make the Christian
Home a natural outcome from freedom not legalism.

Colossians 2:14 (NLT)
14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT)
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5  or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being
wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures
through every circumstance.

Colossians 3:18-22 (NKJV)
The Christian Home:
18  Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19  Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
20  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
21  Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
22  Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with
eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

Colossians 3:19 (NKJV)
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.

1 Corinthians 11:3 (NLT)
3 But there is one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Peter 3:1-2 (ESV), 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NKJV),  Ephesians 5:25 NKJV

Ephesians 5:28-29 NKJV
28 So husband’s ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

Men have a need for Respect.
- Respect is the love language of men/bro language respect
- Most men will say, she doesn’t respect me!
- Respect a guy and he will fall for you!

Women have a need for Love.
- Love is the love language of women.

Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Colossians 3:20-21 (NKJV)
20  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
21  Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
