This week the message is from Sunday August 2nd 2026 with Pastor Travis titled Foundations for Life

The following are ascriptures and notes from the Sermon:

Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)

6 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Hebrews 9:14 (NKJV)
14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to
God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God?

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (NKJV ) 13 For by one Spirit we were
all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks,
whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into
one Spirit.

Colossians 2:12 (NKJV)  12 For you were buried with Christ
when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to
new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who
raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of
your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut
away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave
all our sins. 14 He cancelled the record of the charges
against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

Matthew 3:11 (NKJV) 11 I indeed baptize you with water
unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier
than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will
baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name
they will cast out demons; they will speak with new
tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink
anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay
hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 10:16 (NKJV) And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them,
and blessed.

1 Timothy 4:14 (NKJV)
14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given
to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the
eldership.

2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is
in you through the laying on of my hands.

Acts 19:6 (NKJV)
6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy
Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues
and prophesied.

Acts 8:17-18 (NKJV)
17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the
Holy Spirit. 18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the
apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered
them money,

John 11:25–26 (NKJV)
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me,
though he may die, he shall live."

John 5:28-29 (NKJV)

28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

2 Peter 1:2-9 (NLT)
2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you
grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By his
divine power, God has given us everything we need for
living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to
know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his
marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that
enable you to share his divine nature and escape the
world’s corruption caused by human desires. 5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision
of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with
godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. 8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and
useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are
shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been
cleansed from their old sins.

More railway ties added:
Moral excellence
Knowledge
Self-control
Patient endurance
Godliness
Brotherly affection
Love for everyone
