2 Peter 1:4-5 (NLT)
4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us
great and precious promises. These are the promises that
enable you to share his divine nature and escape the
world’s corruption caused by human desires. 5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision
of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,

James 1:22-26 (NLT)
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it
says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if
you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at
your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and
forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you
heard, then God will bless you for doing it. 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.

How do we respond?
1) Look carefully
2) Do what it says
3) Remember what you heard
4) Control what you say

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says
the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you
could imagine.9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:7-8 (NLT)
7 Let the wicked change their ways
   and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
  Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
  Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
    “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

Isaiah 55:10-11 (NLT)
10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer
and bread for the hungry. 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Romans 10:8 (NKJV)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your
mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith
which we preach)

Isaiah 55:12 NLT
12 You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song,
and the trees of the field will clap their hands! 13 Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”

Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your
mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that
you may observe to do according to all that is written in
it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and
then you will have good success.

Meditate: — to ponder deeply; to rehearse or quietly
speak something to yourself repeatedly.

So here is the process:

1) God speaks
2) I look carefully at what He said
3) I meditate on what He said
4) His Word changes how I think
5) I begin speaking and acting in agreement with His
Word
6)Transformation and fruitfulness begin to manifest

Isaiah 31:4 (NKJV) 4 For thus the Lord has spoken to me: “As a lion roars,
And a young lion over his prey (When a multitude of shepherds is summoned against him, He will not be afraid of their voice Nor be disturbed by their noise), So the Lord of hosts will come down To fight for Mount Zion and for its hill.
