People are do nloading my podcast they are li tening but I'm having real di ficulty in getting people to re iew the podcast. How should I do that? And also how important ar reviews generally?

They also serve as ocial proof for new lis eners who might be int rested in finding out just how good your podcast really is. So n today's episode, we dis uss why podcast reviews are imp rtant, and how to encourage you listeners to leave a glo ing five star review. Let's tal about why podcast reviews are important. Reviews help com unicate the potential lis eners what they can expect fro your show based on feedback fro existing or previous lis eners. Think of it like Ama on reviews. But instead of lea ing feedback on products, peo le are leaving feedback on you show their written tes imony based on the exp rience of previous lis eners. podcast reviews can als serve as a great opp rtunity for you to collect fee back to understand what's wor ing, and what's maybe not wor ing for your show. They're als a great source of mot vation and personal val dation, because let's be rea, who doesn't like to be tol they're doing a great job. As quick note, we get asked a lot Do I need a lot of reviews to e on Apple's new and not worthy to the best of our kno ledge, it is not a criteria to e considered for that list. So hat's one less thing for you to orry about. Here are three way to encourage your listeners to eave a podcast review tip num er one mentioned in the int o, let them know early on why podcast reviews are imp rtant and how they help your sho grow. And don't be afraid to ention it in the outro and mak s for a great call to action as sign off. Tip number two, con ider holding a small contest or ffer a small prize like a sho t out my name and an episode or live read of the review for any ne that leaves them.
