This 3rd of three meditation on God's people influenced by their social and cultural context discusses the circumstances of the Babylonian exile in which God's people found themselves deprived of so much- home, temple, countrymen, familiar institutions. Yet God blessed them through suffering in that they clung to the promises of their faith so much the more. God can bless us even through disaster!
