Nephi prophecies of the future of his people and their relationship to the gentiles. He speaks of the fair and delightsome gentiles who will come to the promise land and will scatter his brethren as well as bring a book of the jews with them. The gentiles are promised that they will have opportunity to receive the fullness of the gospel and have returned to them the plain and precious parts removed by the great and abominable church which was formed among the gentiles. Christopher Columbus has long been thought to be a part of this prophecy but we examine another view and whether or not it may fit better. We touch on the gospel coming back to Lehi's remnant in this land in purity and how the gentiles added to it almost immediately and perhaps the Lord prevented them to take their version of the gospel instead of the gospel contained in the Book of Mormon.
