The purpose of doctrine is to lead to transformation. We discuss the gap between understanding truth or doctrine and allowing it to effect our everyday life, and transform us into citizens of the kingdom. We look at Alma 19 and examine the gap between Alma's son and the truth of the word. We will get into deep theoretically and philosophical meaning of this life and what happens when we die, but tie it in to how it effects us and how we live every day, and especially how and why we repent
