guests can simply focus on the content of the show, not have to worry"},{"startTime":177.98,"endTime":185.482,"body":"about the technical aspects of recording and getting it tape sinks on certain listservs or in Facebook groups or"},{"startTime":201.44199999999998,"endTime":212.06199999999998,"body":"podcasting, you will see that tape sinks can be paid anywhere from 150 to $200 an hour for"},{"startTime":212.06199999999998,"endTime":213.00199999999998,"body":"this kind of work."},{"startTime":213.00199999999998,"endTime":223.182,"body":"And often the podcaster is also responsible for reimbursing them for certain expenses,"},{"startTime":213.00199999999998,"endTime":223.182,"body":"such as mileage or parking or anything else that might happen as a result of Facebook groups for the same thing."},{"startTime":265.481,"endTime":275.348,"body":"Worst case scenario, you can always also talk to maybe the local radio stations in bit of money, has the right equipment, has the right experience to help you out."},{"startTime":279.111,"endTime":284.606,"body":"So again, if resources are not an issue for you, money, time, thing you could do is instead of having someone go to the guest, you send the"},{"startTime":288.52799999999996,"endTime":296.573,"body":"guest to a location, to a studio in their studios, and today, increasingly, lots of places have podcast studios."},{"startTime":307.318,"endTime":314.09,"body":"So once again, the great thing here is that the guest is going to be recorded at high"},{"startTime":307.318,"endTime":314.09,"body":"quality using a good microphone, a good camera,"},{"startTime":314.09,"endTime":320.56,"body":"There was someone on site to coach them, make sure they're sitting in the right spot,"},{"startTime":314.09,"endTime":320.56,"body":"know, give them a little bit of a pep talk if you need to."},{"startTime":320.56,"endTime":329.33,"body":"And they're going to be responsible for hitting records so the guests could focus on the"},{"startTime":320.56,"endTime":329.33,"body":"content of the conversation and giving you great quality content for your show."},{"startTime":329.33,"endTime":334.2,"body":"The downside here, of course, is once again, the cost studios are can be less expensive"},{"startTime":329.33,"endTime":334.2,"body":"than the tape handle."},{"startTime":346.435,"endTime":351.238,"body":"So, you know, again, they can be on the more expensive side, they can be a little things."},{"startTime":353.359,"endTime":358.341,"body":"The other factor that comes into play that can make this a little bit more problematic budget"},{"startTime":379.78999999999996,"endTime":387.39,"body":"sending someone to a studio is a great way to go the other downside of course being is"},{"startTime":387.39,"endTime":396.234,"body":"that you do have to possibly inconvenience the guest telling them they have to go"},{"startTime":387.39,"endTime":396.234,"body":"somewhere to do it so if either one of those are not an option for you"},{"startTime":396.234,"endTime":401.19599999999997,"body":"there are online platforms that kind of serve as a tape sync for you."},{"startTime":401.19599999999997,"endTime":405.799,"body":"There is Squadcast and Riverside, Zencast or StreamYard and a few others out there."},{"startTime":405.799,"endTime":409.751,"body":"These platforms, they're gonna work like Zoom or any other remote recording platform."},{"startTime":409.751,"endTime":412.24199999999996,"body":"You're gonna be able to see and hear your guests."},{"startTime":412.24199999999996,"endTime":421.0,"body":"The benefit of using these platforms though is that when you hit record as the podcaster,"},{"startTime":412.24199999999996,"endTime":421.0,"body":"you're not just recording what you hear over the internet, which..."},{"startTime":421.0,"endTime":426.812,"body":"is subject to lots of different interference or bandwidth issues, connection issues,"},{"startTime":421.0,"endTime":426.812,"body":"whatnot."},{"startTime":426.812,"endTime":432.99399999999997,"body":"But what's gonna happen is these platforms are gonna record locally on that guest's"},{"startTime":426.812,"endTime":432.99399999999997,"body":"device."},{"startTime":432.99399999999997,"endTime":441.707,"body":"So if the guest is a good microphone, it's set up correctly, you're getting the recording"},{"startTime":432.99399999999997,"endTime":441.707,"body":"directly off their microphone, that file is gonna get sent to you later, and you're"},{"startTime":441.707,"endTime":446.462,"body":"basically doing a tape sync automatically, which is a great way to go about doing this."},{"startTime":446.462,"endTime":454.768,"body":"You know, the downside of using something like these platforms is well, one, there's a"},{"startTime":446.462,"endTime":454.768,"body":"subscription there, although we're talking about subscriptions in the 20, 40, $60 a month."},{"startTime":454.768,"endTime":457.55,"body":"So not nearly as expensive as some of the other ones."},{"startTime":457.55,"endTime":460.05199999999996,"body":"There are a few technical hurdles here."},{"startTime":460.05199999999996,"endTime":469.819,"body":"So the person does need some sort of input device, even if we're talking about, you
