There's a lot to read because God has a lot to say to us directly from the Word of God. You're listening to That's the Truth. The joy of the Lord. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee. Praise God. The organ is being used right now to encourage us, to encourage us to put a smile on your face. Praise God, knowing that the joy of the Lord is your strength, amen. I thank God that we can come together. Thank God today I'm gathered with believers. Amen. I'm gathered with the saints. Praise God. Amen. I'm not sitting with the sinners or standing with the sinners or sitting with the scornful and the mockers, hanging around the wrong crowd. I'm in with the right crowd. I'm in God's presence. Praise God, amen. Praise God. Amen. Witnesses. Hallelujah. Praise God. So I'm glad you're here. Amen. Praise God. You can help me by sharing sharing this link, letting some folks know that not only is it Sunday, but it's time for the Word of God. Amen. That we have our Bibles, our minds, our hearts ready whenever I pray, eyes to see, ears to hear, a heart that's open, ready to receive and perceive. Praise God. Let me take for I think everyone here, yeah. Everyone here. Well, we're all we're we're midway through. Amen. We're halfway through because all we all we did was change the language into English. Praise God. We had fellowship with our brothers and sisters from Africa. Praise God. Our pastors were with us from Newfoundland because it's a snow day at the end of anyways. Amen. We'll pray because we're on our way to Newfoundland. So next Sunday, we don't want to be snowed out or snowed in. Amen. We want everybody to be there. Praise God. So there that that announcement's taken care of. Amen. This is a live stream next Sunday. My wife and I, we will be live streaming from our church in Newfoundland. So get ready to join us there if you're not so far away. I welcome everyone. Listening, doesn't matter what social media platform you're on, if you're listening to the live stream, we are going to be blessed. Amen. There is a word for you and I, praise God, from God. Amen. If you're listening in the repeat mode, well, I'm so glad you've decided to join with us. Live 365. If you're listening from wherever your homes, different parts. And a few days ago, the according to the the uh diagnostics or what I can see online, somebody was listening from Hawaii. So I thank God for that. Listening from wherever you're listening to uh in the United States or across Canada, I welcome you. Praise God. If you're listening from your homes, your houses, from at work, and we have folks listening from they're in prison, and um whether they listen to their cells or their earbuds, or you're walking down the street, or you're in the in the um in the in the fields praying, praise God. I know that the word of God is a blessing, praise God. When we pray, give us this day our daily bread. Praise God. Thank God for today, another day of grace, another day of God's mercy for you and I, praise God, hallelujah! And we ought to be, amen. The Bible says to be grateful, to be thankful, to serve the Lord, amen, with gladness, praise God. And as I'm reading, I read half, I read the first half of Psalm 40, and it's verse 16 in the English. On the French side, it was verse 17, but in your King James Bibles it's verse 16. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee. Let such as love thy salvation say continually, the Lord be magnified. Praise God. So I thank God if you recognize the fact that you are saved. Amen. This is not just a repeated church prayer or church register that you signed, or because you were you know christened as a as an infant in some sort of religion. This is because our sins are washed in the precious blood of the Lamb. In his name is Jesus Christ. Praise God. And this is why we can make some noise, amen. This is why we can we can stand and be an example to those that are still trying to figure it out. Amen. Jesus came and he made it clear. Praise God. We're not here. This has nothing to do with whatever sports season it may be, or whatever um whatever Hollywood is releasing. This has nothing, it has to do what took place a couple thousand years ago. This is where it changed me. In Christ, I am a new creature. Praise God. I don't know if you are there yet or not. If you are, you can say thank you, Jesus, that I'm in Christ. Amen. Not in the sports or not in the world, or not in a club, or not in something that I shouldn't be involved with. Amen. I'm in Christ. And if any man, if any woman be in Christ, they are a new creature. Praise God. So that's why I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, and I'm not ashamed of Jesus Christ. Amen. To worship him, praise God, to let the world know that he's not dead, but he is alive. Amen. Blessed be the name of the Lord, he is the giver of life. Amen. Praise God. The first uh the Bible says that for God so loved this world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth, whosoever calls upon him, they shall be saved, and you shall not perish. This is what the Bible teaches us. And I read in the Bible when Jesus on this earth, Amen, the first time Jesus was worshipped, it was by uh by an uh an infant child wasn't even born yet. Amen. The name of Jesus was said, and um the mother felt something stir. Elizabeth is her name, she felt something inside of her. Amen. That's the word worship began in the name of Jesus, amen. True worshippers to worship in spirit and in truth. Praise God. Amen. People think you they they you know they call themselves pro-choice and they want to do something or whatever. No, this this child, whatever number you put on it, amen. The Bible already teaches us when there is life and when life starts. Praise God. And all life, anything living, appreciates the name of Jesus Christ. Why? Because He is life, He is the way, He is the truth. Amen. He is the one, He what makes a difference. Thank God some of your hands are up. Everybody, put your hands up as I exhort and edify. Get ready to pray, get ready to go to God and be thankful for what He has given us. Praise God. Amen. We can't take this for granted. Hallelujah. That's why the Bible is there to remind us. Amen. Let such, amen, let they who love salvation exhort, amen. Say continually, the Lord be magnified. That's why we have a word of amen. We have a word from God. Every time you open up this Bible, you get that, you mean you get that word. You see the word. You read it, you hear it. When I read, when I recite. On the French side, my brothers and sisters, they recited that they recited a scripture verse that was feeding my soul. Praise God. I began to partake of my daily bread, something good to meditate on, amen. Something for the good of my soul. So I thank God today that, like I said, we can be gathered together with the saints, with the believers, that is doing a good amen. It's doing something good for my soul. Praise God. And we're going to glorify God with it. I'm gonna pray in about 30 seconds, so share this link, get everybody on board. The prayer is always important, amen. I don't mind the preaching of the word of God, but when you talk to God, knowing that God listens, amen. Hallelujah. We read this a couple of weeks ago in the scriptures, praise God, knowing that God is attentive. Amen. So put your hands up if you have a request, let it be known. Praise God. We're gonna pray for some folks that need help in their that need help in their body. Pray for Jordan's mind. Thank God for Brother Jordan, his family, his wife that believes, praise God. We can come together and pray. Praise God, that his mind, his body, soul, his heart be structured, praise God, to survive whatever, whatever the devil throws your way. Amen. Praise God. Let these people know that their family is praying for them, and there is only one way to go. Amen. Is is it's to Jesus Christ is that way where there is healing, where there is salvation. Amen. Not just receive from God because we're in trouble. This is not a 9-1-1 call. Souls ought to be saved. 2 Peter 3:9, for it is not the will of God that any of you perish. Amen. Everyone listening, you we all have this opportunity. Praise God. So let's pray. Father in heaven, I thank God for another opportunity where your word of our Bibles will be opened. Eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive and perceive what the Spirit has to say to the church today. Thank God for my brothers and sisters, as we gather together, as we come online. Those of those of few that are standing in front of me this afternoon or this evening, I thank God we it's making a difference in our souls, praise God. As we have asked, give us this day our daily bread, we are being fed. And I'm we are thankful, we are grateful, we recognize, praise God, where our help comes from. I pray for those in need, not only all my brothers and sisters that may be but still behind bars or in prison, but our our church families across this world. Thank God for our pastors that are listening. Thank God for every brother and sister today. Their hands are up, their head, they meant their it's upward looking up from whence cometh uh our help towards the hills and beyond the hills, our help cometh from the Lord. Had it not been for God, had it not been for the Lord, we would not be here today. Had it not been for the work which was run on Calvary, we would not be here today, had it not been for precious blood shed on the cross, we would not be here today, had he not taken the stripes, had he not taken the holes through his hands, the holes through his feet, having his side split wide open. Father, we are so thankful that you sent your son Jesus Christ, who made a way for us when there was no way, gave me a way out of my sin, gave me a way out of my sickness, made a way for me out of my sorrow, brought me out of religion, brought me out of darkness over into holiness, brought me out of darkness over into his marvelous light. Father in heaven, we are thankful today and we give you all the praise and we give all the glory, praise God. As we get ready to open up the word of God today, I thank God, amen. It will do good for our souls. Holy Ghost, lead us into all truth, be our guide as we read through the scriptures. Praise God, it's going to be a help, amen, for each and every single person listening in Jesus' name. If someone's listening and they have yet to confess and to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, may they start right now. Father, be merciful unto me, a sinner. Amen. Say this. Begin, amen, your walk with Jesus Christ. For as many as received him to them, he gave power to become the sons of God. Thank God today, amen, for sons and daughters. But as we pray for our loved ones, the lost neighbors and friends and family, in Jesus' name, I thank God there's a difference going to be made. Use this vessel to sow into the hearts and minds and into the lives of those listening to receive the word of God and to plant a plant seed, amen, that will grow a root downward, that fruit may grow upward, Father. As your as your prophet prophesied in the days of old, I thank God today. We are not here just playing around or wasting our time. Amen. Every minute to us is precious, every word which is spirit and which is life is precious to each and every one of my brothers and sisters, Father in heaven. I ask for these things in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. As I said, make your request uh be known in Jesus' name. Praise God. Whatever is um whatever the need may be. Pray for the need in Africa, Father in heaven, in Jesus' name, and thank God for peace that may be found in those communities. In Jesus' name, as the as the as the walls that we have put up, the land which we have purchased and the buildings which we have built, they are seen as light. It just lights up the darkness, it just lights up that whole area, all the way up to the government. Amen. And they'll see, praise God, that when when the saints of God pray, there is results. In Jesus' name, praise God, hallelujah. This is not religious routine. I thank God today. This is life that Jesus has come to give us. Praise God. Hallelujah. Touch my brothers and sisters. The next few minutes may be a blessing to each and every one of us. Thank God for the health and strength once again, praise God, to open up the word of God and let the world know that Jesus is not dead, but he is alive. Praise God. And he lives in me. Praise God in Jesus' name. We pray for our leaders across this country, across this nation, south of the border. People walking in and just shooting things up and handling things according to the flesh. But we pray that there be some spiritual folks, amen, minding the things which are which is of the spirit and not the things which are of the flesh. Father in heaven, we pray for peace. Praise God. Whatever countries, amen, that are that are that that have spent the past few days or few months in turmoil, even a few years. Some some countries have had no rest, they have seen no rest. Peace. In Jesus' name, may people turn towards peace, which is your Son Jesus Christ. He came to make peace, for he is our peace. Praise God. And I thank God today that we can have this peace, not from this world. It's nothing that this world has given, but we have received it. Praise God from you, Father in heaven. And I thank God for it. In Jesus' name, touch our president, touch our prime minister, and touch the members of parliament and the members of wherever they sit, the Senate and the White House and whoever else, majority governments or minority governments, Lord, we pray in Jesus' name, praise God. Thank God for the freedom and the liberty which I do have in this place, praise God. And we're not taken for granted. Even the sites that we have on Facebook and on YouTube and on godly.tv and our on our app as well. Thank God for this technology that allows me to say Jesus Christ is the only way. Mohammed, too late, he's dead. Buddha, too late, he's dead. Amen. And everyone else doesn't matter whatever else, what all the popes, amen, they come and go. Makes no difference. Amen. Mr. Moon, you're dead. Amen. Mr. Son, you're dead. All these different uh different versions of whatever they're trying to produce, the Dalai Lama, all done. Jesus Christ is the way and the truth. It's not Harry, Krishna, it's not Mary, Baker, Eddie. In Jesus' name, praise God. I declare that it is Jesus and Him crucified. This is what we preach. This is what I declare. This is the name which I lift up because there is no other name given unto man. Read it in Acts chapter 4 in the 12th verse. Praise God. One name, and his name is Amen at home. Everyone, shout the name of your Savior, your Lord. Praise God. Make an intercession for you and I. Shout his name, Jesus. Praise God. Hallelujah. Well, put your hands together as the Bible says to clap unto the Lord. Amen. Give the Lord a hand clap. Give the Lord praise. Praise God. Praise His holy name. Praise God. Keep clapping. Sounds good. The Bible says God is worthy. I'm all by myself in my apartment. Go ahead and clap. Praise God. The Spirit of the Living God is there with you. Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise His Holy Name. Hallelujah. And his name is. Praise God. Someone else say his name. Praise God. Thank God for the blessing that we have today. You may be seated. Amen. For his word. Praise God to be um to be before our very eyes. Praise God. Amen. Can someone say hallelujah? Praise God. You're looking at the right thing. Amen. Praise God. What else is there to look at? Well, people are looking at all kinds of things. But I thank God today that we can have before us. Amen. We can have truth. Someone say truth. Praise God. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. The will of God. Amen. Maybe you're here for the first time and you're saying, can you bring me down a little bit, please? Maybe you're here for the first time and you're saying, What am I doing here? What this is all about. Well, the will of we read this last week in Romans chapter 12 in the second verse. The will of God is I'm holding my finger up because it's three things. First thing, good. Amen. At home, say, I don't want everyone to say good. Amen. It is acceptable. Praise God. And it is what? Amen. Nothing lacking. Praise God. Find Matthew 25. I'll get there in a couple of minutes, but I want to read something because I mentioned it when I was listening to the preaching this week, and I mentioned it, and um I didn't I didn't really back it up. And for the past couple of weeks, I've been saying, you better show me the page and the chapter and the first number. So I'm gonna back what up back up what I said because we have I I've had this experience quite often where people um turn the not like unsaved people, the people they turn on God, they say, Ah, your God's supposed to be a God of love, and he has this place called hell, and why would God have made this place? Well, I'm gonna we're gonna read in the scriptures the why that place was created, why that that place and the our King James Bible uses the word prepared, why that place was prepared, and and and the good news is you don't have to end up there. Amen, because it wasn't made for you and I. Amen. It wasn't made. God didn't make or prepare. I'm gonna try to stick to the King James Bible word. And uh God did not prepare the place for Adam, and he did not prepare that place for Eve, and he did not prepare that place for anybody who can who comes out. He prepared that place, and we can read this. I'm gonna read one verse, it's verse 41. If you read in this week, Matthew 24, Matthew 25 is two good chapters to read, and um you're saying you know, some people say, Well, that's that's old. Well no, when you read Matthew 25. Matthew chapter 25. When you read those two chapters, take a look at the calendar. Amen. Because this is this is this is like fresh stuff for 2026. Amen. It sounds like God's been sounds like God's been listening to the news, except God said it first. Amen. So I'm going to read, we're before the judgment, the throne of the throne of judgment in verse 41. And if you back up a few verses, you find out those who were uh directed to their um to the to the right hand to the right of the throne. And we're gonna jump ahead to verse 41. And it says, Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand. So these are the ones heading left. So some folks head right, they are ushered to the right, others are um on their way to the left hand. Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. So when you talk to people and say, Well, we don't believe, even the Pope says that I don't think God, you know, made a hell or yeah, he did for the devil and his angels. Amen. Now it's up to you where you want to end up. If you want to follow the devil and his angels, well, that's we we see, amen, the the result of the decision that people make rather than to be obedient. Amen. So we can see, amen, what their eternity is going to be. This is Jesus Christ, his teaching and his his word. It'd be worth it if you get a Bible. If you don't have a Bible right now and and um you know you have doubt or you're having a little bit of difficulty to take my word for it, get a Bible and read for yourself. Amen. Praise God. Nowhere, no, don't uh wherever you are listening, praise God. If you have trouble, some people call or they write us saying, I can't find a King James Bible, I can't find you know the what you're reading, Old and New Testament. We make sure that you'll get one. Praise God. Amen. We'll send it to you by mail. And if you don't, if you don't have one, amen. This is for people that that don't have one, and we give out, and I know some people are listening, and then you know what it's like to give people a Bible, to put a Bible into their hands for the first time. And I appreciate that, those that have uh that that vision, and we're getting ready to um to the the weather is finally nice, it's finally sunny, as you can see, amen. And um, hopefully it stays that way. Talking to my cousin in central Saskatchewan yesterday, and he said, The snow, the ground is all white. It's been snowing here, and plows are out cleaning. He says, I think they're cleaning the streets, and uh, that was not last month, that was uh yesterday. So uh we're looking to be blessed uh to get our uh English trailer on the road. This kind of what it looks like, but this is the French version of it. Big Jesus Christ, and uh because people need the word, they need the Bible, praise God. They need they need uh um they need they need to have a mind, and this is what we're looking at. This is week seven, what you think matters. We need to get biblical, amen. So let's get your Bibles in your hand, let's get biblical. This is the will of God. We read this last week, and I mentioned last week also that we should have this that that the same mind, amen, because from the same source. Amen. You and I read that read the word of God, and we agree with what we read and we receive what we read from the same, we we we will have in Christ, amen. In Christ Jesus, you and I, we will have the same the same mind, amen. The same mind in the Lord. We read last week the same rule, the same thing, the same judgment. Amen. We read these these literal you know combination of words, the same judgment, the same mind, the same, the same rule. Why? Because we have the same book, the same Bible, amen. Because we have the same spirit, and there's only one spirit, amen. I was mentioning on the French side, amen. Forget the naysayers and uh folks that you know come around us with with the with excuses and um with with whatever their their opinions may say. My opinion doesn't count, your opinion doesn't count. What counts is what God has said. Amen. I wasn't there in the beginning. Amen. I wasn't sitting beside, amen. God says, let us make I wasn't there sitting, well, God, you know, make it make it this way, you know. How about here? Think about I wasn't around in the beginning. In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God. Amen. So when you read, in Acts, uh Revelation chapter 19, what was the verse I was supposed to not forget? 13? Thank you, my brother. Revelation 19, 13. Amen. We have uh where we have a description, the scriptural biblical description of Jesus Christ, and he receives a title of the Word. So when you're reading the Bible, you're reading Jesus. When you're reading the Bible, you're reading God. These are words of spirit and of life that have proceeded out of his mouth. The quote the verse I just quoted in John chapter 1 and the first verse, you we we understand that God and his word, God's word and God, they're inseparable. Amen. They go together, they come together, they are, amen. And because they have proceeded from God. And I thank God for whatever we see, amen, because of the word, because the word was spoken. Amen. So I thank God that we can, if if this, if we have, if we take the time, amen, to be able to sow this into the lives of people. This is not according to science, it's not according to Google, this is according to what thus saith the Lord. Amen. And I thank God that the the the this the scriptures that we do have in our hands, it makes a difference. Praise God. The more the more you read, the more you more you more biblical you get. Amen. The more you read the the Bible, the more the the the more um the substance, the more biblical substance that you have in your heart and in your mind, to be able to do a uh to be able to do one good for your soul, but also to be able to do what is what to be pleasing unto God. Amen. To be to do what God wants. Praise God. This is not only like his instructions. I know some people receive this kind of the wrong way, but you're reading God. Amen. This is what God, this is what thus saith the Lord, and it makes a difference, even though we're we even though we are four months into the year 2026. I thank God that we we can be uh standing or sitting, wherever I'm standing, I guess you're all sitting, except my sister behind the camera. Amen. We can be standing with a renewed mind. Amen. And I said this last week a renewed mind is a right mind. Amen. And as I mentioned last week, I said if uh the the um it's just as but the this preaching was coming to a close, I said next week our subtitle is going to be a sound mind. And for those of you, if you're online, you can see that description of who we are, what we have been given, what we have received. And I'm running under the main title. This is week number seven, what you think matters, what you think is important. That's the French translation. What you think matters, what you think makes a difference. Amen. And I'm using for a subtitle, a sound mind, and we're gonna get this from the book of 2 Timothy. Praise God. We're ready to get into the word of God. I'm gonna read from 2 Timothy, a sound mind. So if I missed anybody, I apologize. Thank God for everyone listening today. I welcome you. Praise God, whether you're listening to the live stream or you're listening in uh in the repeat mode, it's a uh pleasure, praise God. It's a blessing, is a better word for me to use. It's a blessing that you have allowed uh our church here in Montreal to uh come into your lives. Our Bibles are open, I trust your Bibles are. If not, get your Bibles, get your Bibles, get your Bibles. Amen. I'm gonna read one verse, Second Timothy, the first chapter, and the seventh verse, 2 Timothy 1 7. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, amen. But what has he given us? Power, a love, and of a sound mind. I'm reading it this way, I'm gonna reread it exactly as it's written in the King James, but I'm reading it this way, so that you get an understanding that the power that I have, the love that I have, and the mind that I have, and this is where I get my subtitle from, a sound mind, it is it is given from God, it is a gift of God. Amen. I didn't go to Walmart and or I didn't go by you know to Britannica and buy a set of encyclopedias to get this. This may be this may have given me information to help me graduate and you know get get the best marks I could have in school, but as far as my focus being on the eternity which lies ahead of each and every one of us, I need to invest in that. I need to invest for what is coming as far as my soul is concerned. So we have a lot of concerns with you know our retirement fund or our 401, I don't even know what it is. 401k? Is it 40 or 401k? Freedom 55. Well, that's 10 years behind me already, amen. I I I got my freedom when I got saved. Amen. Praise God. So somebody, if you're under 55 or if you're over 55, call on Jesus. Amen. But we the world sets these concerns before us. I know we need to be responsible. You know, we we we gotta mow the lawn, and we can't let, you know, we can't let the grass or the weeds get up to the, you know, up over our knees, or or we we have to and we have to pay the bills, and we have to go to work, we have to get education, and I I understand that. But as soon as that's over, we need to uh, as I said, invest, and I'm gonna stick to that word. We need to invest uh in our souls. This is what is eternal, amen. You can re you can make an investment and reap the dividends of a bank or reap the dividends or the returns of your of an investment company, but all that Jesus said it's all gonna burn, doesn't matter what they build up, doesn't matter what they tear down, amen. It's not gonna last. I want as I said, I want to invest in something, and this is you're saying, What's this got to do with a sound mind? This is how a sound mind thinks the mind which was in Jesus Christ. Praise God. I mean, he walked the when when he walked the face of this earth, praise God, he did some things that were never really seen before. And all they could do is criticize. You shouldn't have done that on the Sabbath. Well, shame on you for trying to tell God. This is what Jesus turned around and says, I'm the Lord of the Sabbath. It's not the Sabbath that calls the shots, it's the Lord that calls the shots. Amen. If an arm needs to be straightened, the arm was straightened. If you need to pick up your bed and leave the lying beside the pool for over 30 years, if you need to pick up your bed and go home, pick up your bed and go home. Don't check the calendar. What day is it? This is the day which the Lord hath made. I'm picking up my bed and I'm going home. Jesus Christ, He defied religion. Jesus Christ defied traditions, he defied the routines and the rituals, but at the same time, he was doing what his father sent him to do. This is what we this seems to be hard for some people to understand. We build up religion and we build up, you know, routines and uh and rituals that take place under the name or under the guise of religious activity or religious authorities or religious institutions that come up with these things. But where is the Spirit of God? When you read what we were reading here, I'm gonna read this again. What Paul is teaching this young man Timothy, and it's and the they're quoting from what we understand, the second uh uh epistle to Timothy was the last uh letter that Paul wrote. So if this is the last letter, Paul says, but Paul's writing this, and he encourages us in this first chapter for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Now, I don't know about you, but when it comes to power, when it comes to love, and when it comes to a sound mind, that's for spiritual things. I don't really see it. I don't see love, I can see the works, I can see the results of love, the results of power, I can see the results of a sound mind. We this is this gets us spiritual. We read this last week, amen. For the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be. It is enmity with God. They that are spiritual do mind the things of the spirit, but they that are carnal, they mind the things of the flesh. You can read this in Romans chapter 8. Amen. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. We have to be walking spiritually. Father in heaven, ordain my steps. The steps of a good man and the steps of a good woman are ordained of the Lord. Praise God. Given it, ordered of the Lord, sorry. Given, given, given us, giving us direction for where we need to go, for where we need to be when God wants us to be there. Amen. This is on God's time. As I said, I mean I showed up in 1962. It I was not in a place or in a position to give advice to God. God had already declared it, He already made it, He already, it was already fabricated before the it was already framed as a King James Bible word, before this, before this earth was even made. And I and I thank God today that his will continues to be done. Amen. On this earth as it is in heaven. Hallelujah. Some people don't even know, they they haven't even read the last page of the Bible, but yet you can see, amen, the will of God falling into place in their lives, in our government, within our families, within the social system that we have in this world. Amen. Artificial intelligence is not going to change any of that either. Amen. We have governments, uh, you know, they're announcing the the and and whole whole countries, they're making announcements saying, well, hey, we're gonna lay off so many people, we're gonna have a percentage of people laid off because AI is gonna take over. And AI is what I've heard, the AI is trying to rewrite a Bible that's gonna be accepted or acceptable, I guess, to to it or to whatever it is, or to people. But thank God I have a word, amen, since the beginning. Amen. The what the Bible, what I what I'm using today for for for to uplift and to edify is what God has spoken from the beginning. It's not something to be written, it's not something that is in in in halfway through being written in whatever year you may be listening to this text. I'm going way back, praise God, way back to where God, amen, in the beginning was the word, the word was with God. Thank God today that not only I can be um I can find myself attached or or um uh in in tune or synchronized with the word of God, because I take the I take the Bible and I read it and I apply it and I do what it says. Praise God. So it's not only just God and the word in John chapter one. Amen. When you read the second verse, it says the same. Amen. The same that was in the beginning. This is what you and I have in our hands. I'm gonna find John chapter one and read that second and third verse. The same was in the beginning with God. Someone say, I'm with God, amen. And God is with me. Amen. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. Amen. This is the God whom I serve. Praise God. Amen. And I'm saying these things because this is how this is how a sound mind thinks. We cannot be distracted. People grab the remote and they flick a couple of switches, and all of a sudden they're absent-minded. Amen. I'm not absent-minded. Amen. All of a sudden, they're not even in a different room or a different country, they're in a different universe. You know, we sit there and say, Oh, they're in a different world. Amen. Their mind begins to wander. We need to stick to we need to stay the course. Hallelujah. Since there is only one way, we cannot be distracted or we cannot be taken off this way. Praise God. This is a sound mind, a gift from God. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear. Amen. So it doesn't matter what shows up in the in the headlines, it doesn't matter what uh what's what the what the world is up to. I know what God is up to. Amen. And he is with me, and I am with him. I don't want things to change. Praise God. Puts me in good hands. Someone say I'm in good hands. Amen. Praise God. A sober mind. Let's read something from the book of Titus and the second chapter. I'm gonna read three verses, Titus chapter 2, 6, 7, and 8. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. So today we're gonna look at, it's not like it's different aspects, and it's not like it's different minds, but where there is a progression. I want you to see the progression that's gonna take place. A sound mind, now we're reading of a sober mind. So keep this in mind as we continue as we continue to read. And if you back up verses 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, this is not only uh here we read to the young men, and back up a verse, it's to the young women, back up a couple of verses, it's to the aged men and to the aged women. So everybody listening, and me included, we're we fit somewhere between an aged man and a young man. Amen. Even my young brothers and sisters, praise God, that we're listening on the French side, or my young sister, praise God. We're all included. You be eight or nine listening, amen. I mentioned some young people earlier, praise God, from the saints of God and Rimbi. You're listening, amen. This is this is written for us, but we're I'm gonna pick up the text from verse six. Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded. I'm gonna have a sound mind, I have a sober mind. We're gonna look at this in a moment or two. What does that mean? In all things, someone say all things. Titus 2, verse 7. In all things, showing thyself a pattern of good works. Amen. Someone say good works. Praise God. I know, I know Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 and 9. Don't misquote me. And while you're reading verses 8 and 9 to refresh your memory, read verse 10. Amen. For we are not saved by works, but we are saved unto good works. Amen. And now, here the writer Paul here is the he's uh exhorting, I'll use that word. He's exhorting Titus, amen, to show showing thyself a pattern. What's a pattern mean? It's not just once. Does somebody just happen by accident to do something good? Amen. This is a pattern. This is this is something, this puts you into repeat mode for doing what is good. What's the next word? What is acceptable? What's the next word? What is perfect? This is the will of God. Oh, I heard in church today there's nobody good. No, not one, there's not one righteous. That's because they're not doing the will of God. That's because they're not reading, that's because they're not saved. Amen. Keep reading, don't take something, and this is Romans chapter 3. Don't take something out of context, and all of a sudden, oh no, what are we gonna do? Amen. God is God. Do things God's way, you're gonna end up with good results. You're gonna end up with amen, with God in your favor. In all things, someone say all things, showing thyself a pattern of good works. In doctrine, showing uncorruptness, gravity, and sincerity. That means your doctrine, your doctrine is gonna be good. What I'm reading now, praise God, this is serious. This is what we're saying, this is what it's saying. This is what we're reading here. Amen. Take this seriously. Verse 8. Sound speech. Amen. Remember for four for four Sundays, what you say matters? Sound speech. Amen. This is all tied in. As I said, uh you cannot allow the devil to enter into your mind and let him sit there and percolate for a while and just stir things up, and he makes his way, makes his way into your heart. Then the battle, as I mentioned this last week, then the battle begins on a whole different level. Once those strongholds are taken over. When you read James chapter 1, and in James 1, when it talks about temptation and sin and death, because death always follows sin. It reminds me of the man Achan when he when he saw some things, but he allowed it, he allowed what he saw to um to go beyond his eyesight and his mind and entered into his heart. Because he began to conceive and say, Well, if I take them, nobody'll notice. Maybe I'll bury them for a while. I don't know, I don't know how how well burial treats the the clothing or the raiment that he found or the garment, the garment that he found. Anyways, he had so he conceived some sort of idea, and what it did, it was you well, you may you may have uh have obtained the filthy lucre, but what it did, it was it chased. God away right outside the camp. Amen. And James says you need to deal with this that when the temptation you need to put this away. So today again today I elaborate or I'm beginning to elaborate on a sound mind. I'm beginning to elaborate on a sober mind. Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded. These weren't people that were, you know, knocking down shots. These weren't people drinking alcohol. This is not what this means. Paul knows he's not writing to a bunch of drunks. But to have a mind that is sober, see, if I was I've never taken alcohol, so my body has never had that influence. But to drive, if you drink a little bit, 0.08 is the limit. I don't know what that is. An ounce or two. I don't know what that, I don't know exactly how that works, but they measure it, and 0.08's the limit. If you're over that limit, you can't drive, you're incapacitated. Whenever I worked for 20 years, the D D was easy to know, it was me, designated driver. Hey man. And when I'd sit there and say they they people would sit there, you know, ordering their alcoholic beverages or their drinks or whatever, and I'd sit there and say, before I could say it, no, I don't drink, they'd sit there, he's the D D. Oh, okay, the waitress or the waiter would understand. Okay, yeah, we can't serve him drinks because he's driving. Well, that's one of the benefits, but it goes beyond that. It means that there is no, there, there is no um nothing alcoholized that would affect my reflexes or affect my judgment, or as I said, incapacitate me. This is what a sober mind is. Somebody may be blah, blah, blah with their with their opinion, but I thank God I've got my a mindful of the Bible, a mindful of the word of God, and I'm not, and and that's what keeps my mind sober. There's nothing that's gonna come in to corrupt or to pollute or to to to divert my attention, my mind, amen, being sober, being biblical, having the word of God, and to be biblically minded at all times keeps me sober. Amen. For one, it keeps me away from the alcohol. Titus chapter two and the sixth verse. Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded in all things showing thyself a pattern of good works, in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech. And let me finish verse eight now that cannot be condemned, that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Amen. As I said, I'm gonna stay away. I'm gonna keep my mind sober and stay away from what people have to say or their comments and uh their influences. Amen. That may that the devil may want to use. Amen. These strongholds need to come down, they need to be, they need to be um they they need to, I don't want to use the word control because control would be the wrong. Then they need to be eradicated. Amen. These things, these, these, these are works of darkness that need to go, that need to be somewhere else. I want to stand in a place that right now I'm in a sanctuary which is which I can which I can claim as my refuge. Amen. Which I can have as a as a as a um as a as a place that that gives me peace, that gives me an understanding, that gives me uh the the help that I need, that gives me the help that I need, that gives that I see my brothers and sisters to pray for one another. This is where this is the if you can keep your mind in such a in such a state. Amen. As I said, don't pick up the remote and start beginning looking at other things, and then all of a sudden you're drawn away. I'm losing some of my amens now. Amen. Sober minded. Doesn't matter how old you are, sober minded. As I said, I don't know what the effect is because I've never drank or never drank or swallowed alcohol. I don't know what the effect is, but some but I've seen the effects of it. I've never felt it, but I've seen the effects. I've seen the effects of one drink, two drinks, three drinks, four drinks, more drinks, and all of a sudden the person is not the same person anymore. Amen. The responsibilities are out the window. And this is what the devil wants to use. If it's not alcohol, it'll be gambling. If it's not gambling, it'll be a cigarette. If it's not a cigarette, it'll be some drugs. If it's not smoked or inhaled, it's injected. I mean, there's so many different things, and those these are the outside things. I mentioned this last week. We need to be careful, or the week before, was it two weeks ago? We need to be careful what's what's happening on the inside. That's why the mind needs to be sober. None of these things can come in and cause uh the the the effect or cause a a bad um situation or a bad judgment call. Amen. This is what I understand. If you're driving under the influence, some people are they're they're they're they're they're trying to serve God under an influence which is not biblical. Not so, and this we I'll continue. Let's read what Peter has to say. We're gonna bring this home a little bit because Peter is going to be talking about you and I. Amen. Someone say, now it's time to talk about me. First Peter. This week we have teaching from Peter and Paul, the apostles. We're gonna read two passages from Peter, then we're gonna go back to the Colossians to hear from Paul. We're gonna spend a little bit of time in 1 Peter chapter 1 and the 13th verse because the way Peter um his choice of words, which is spiritual, we know, inspired of the Holy Ghost, but his choice of words are very interesting. 1 Peter 1, 13. Wherefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober. There's that word again, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Someone say his name, everyone read his name. Wherefore, gird up the loins of your mind. Now, this is this may be a little interesting. I even went to double check this. I went and checked out the dictionary. The the the on the on the on the human body, the loins, your loins, my loins are here, here, and they're here, and they're here. So now all of a sudden, how is Peter talking about the loins of your mind? Somewhere that's not here, that's not there. Sometimes it could be used, you can use the expression a little lower when he says he has a loincloth or the cloth covered his loins. It could be a little a little bit under the belt. But now, how does this come up to up to the mind? And the understanding that I have when you when you um let's take into consideration what what Peter would was wearing in that day. The uh the the robes that they would wear, they didn't have you know pants. I could do the splits if I was physically able to, but my pants I can take a long step because of what I'm wearing. They didn't really, the men didn't and women didn't dress like that in in that day. And some of you sisters listening, some of you you can relate. So when the expression, and it's used elsewhere in the Bible too, gird up your loins, that means that they would they would pick up what would get in the way of whatever they had to perform or if they had to run or if they had to do some work, they would girt up the their the expression here, they would gird up the loins and um their their garments, and they would prepare themselves either to travel or to do something actively or something physically, because their garments would be long. We we even read, we have a description of the of the garments that Jesus Christ wore, uh healing in his wings, I mean the the fringes and the garments which were long. So when when I read, so so thinking of this, when I read verse 13, what Peter writes, wherefore gird up the loins of your mind. Um I'm Peter is saying to prepare your mind, to put your mind in a position not only to receive, but to perform. Put your mind, have your mind prepared, amen, for the for the um to do the will of God, whatever duties or whatever God calls upon you to do. You need to have a sound mind, you need to have a sober mind, you need to have the right mind. So when he's saying to gird up the loins of your mind, if something's in the way, get rid of it. Get rid of it. Now, I don't want to go into the doctrine of clothes or the doctrine of whatever you're wearing, but when people are running in the Olympics for the gold, they're not wearing anything that gets in the way. Their hair is short, their clothes are short, whatever. Amen. Then we're gonna make sure that there's gonna be zero resistance. Amen. I remember a few years ago I met a um a competitive swimmer, and um I did not know much about you know, butterfly stroke or under whatever, whatever it was, and whatever he would do. So I'm talking to him, like say, like, how do you prepare? Like, how do you, and he and he would, it was somebody that seven days a week he was he was uh and he was young. I mean, he would he was uh he'd be training and then get on the bus and go to school. So his training was like five in the morning training and whatever. So I'm saying, like, how do you like you when you're talking like one tenth of a second, how do you how do you cope with this mentally? How do you how do you prepare? And one of the things which I would have never thought of, I mean, like, is to get rid of anything that is that is that resists, resisting. And I'm talking to a young man, and a young man, you kind of have like hair on your arms and hair on your legs, and and all that's gone. Amen. He's that's what he said. He said, to prepare the body physically. He said, he said, and he says, show me your legs. So I show my legs, got some hair on my legs, because I'm a man, nothing in between. I'm not a woman, I'm a man. I got hair on my legs. And he says, You need all this needs to go so that you can get you can gain one tenth of a second. What about your arms? He showed me his arms. There's nothing. No, you can't have anything that's gonna drag you down. That's for the gold. So now, if I if I if I if I take this um instruction, or if I take this illustration and bring it in spiritually, this is much more than just the gold or the silver or the bronze or one tenth of a second. This is the opposite of one tenth of a second, this is for all of eternity. Amen. We got to get rid of so when Peter is saying that gird up the loins of your mind, we need to get rid of whatever is going to interfere. Amen. Jesus said you need to endure unto the end. We need this constancy, we need we need this continuance uh to be our to have our hands to the plow, not to be looking back, not to allow something to stay in the way to stand in the way or to get in the way. Amen. So this is the first part. This is, yeah, he said we're gonna be spending some time in this verse. So Peter says, Wherefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober. Again, Peter's not writing to a bunch of drunks. He's talking about you're gonna keep your mind, you're gonna keep your heart, you're gonna keep your doctrine without outside influence. Amen. You're not gonna drink it to death, you're not gonna corrupt it, you're not gonna smoke it, you're not gonna whatever it is that people do today to their flesh, to their body, because of the demands that the flesh puts on us. That's why we need to die. It is no longer I that liveth, but it is Christ that liveth in me. When you read Galatians chapter 2 in the 21st verse, hallelujah! This is what follow peace and holiness, without such no man so she shall see the Lord. Praise God. This is where our salvation comes. It's not just I repeated a prayer and I joined a church, there's sanctification that becomes as I said. I want you to see the progress that we're gonna make today and with these verses, the evolution that takes place when it comes time to serve God the way God wants to be served. Be sober and hope to the end. Amen. Someone say, I gotta hope all the way to the end. Amen. For the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revel at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Like I said, this is now this is reading this scripture. Now this is about you. This is about you and I. Praise God. Someone say this is about me. I thank God. I know some people get irritated sometimes. There's certain scriptures and say, Oh, stop telling me what to do, and what's that got to do with anything? I thank God that God has well, I'm gonna go straight to sorts. That God has love for me. Tells me how to straighten up, tells me how to stand, corrects me. Another word the Bible uses was chastise because he loves me. Amen. Not just to do those things which are pleasing in his sight, but when I receive the instruction from God's word, it's God taking care of me. Amen. So when it's when I'm reading here, it says, gird up the loins of your mind, do away with whatever's distasteful, distasteful, whatever's distracting, whatever should not be there. Be sober, hope to the end for the for the grace that is brought unto you. Thank God for his grace. Amen. When I pray, I thank God for his grace, I thank God for his mercy, amen. I thank God for his uh for for for for everything that I have received from God. And as I said, we we started off with the first verse here that was teaching us what God has given us. Not to fear, we have received power, amen, to be a son of God. You have power to be a daughter of God, power because we have received Jesus Christ. Amen. He has given us power, love, and a sound mind. Amen. Are you glad for that gift today? Praise God. So a sound mind, to be sober-minded, gird up the loins of your mind, turn the pages, turn a couple of pages into 2 Peter and the third, the third chapter, 2 Peter chapter 3. Thank God for a sound mind. Praise God. You glad for that? 2 Peter 3:1. Amen. The pro that the progress that we're looking at, a sound mind, a sober mind. Now we're gonna read what this creates. Amen. A sound mind, sober minded. We're talking about a pure mind. This creates a pure mind. 2 Peter 3, verse 1. This second epistle, beloved, I write unto you, in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance. Someone say thank God for his word.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00Thank God for the truth that we have. Thank God for our salvation. How shall we if we sing the song, Amen, Jesus I'll never forget. How shall we neglect or how shall we forget what our the salvation of what was received? Amen. Talk about what took place on Calvary because we can't let that go. Amen. Out of your heart, out of your mind. See, this is what the devil wants to rob. This is why we have scripture, the holy or you know, the holy scriptures to remind us. Amen. When the devil comes knocking on our door and he wants to twist things around or flip things upside down, I thank God that we can take take the scriptures that we have today as a remembrance. Somebody showed me a Bible that said, Look at this, is my Bible. And it was about a it was less than a quarter of the thickness. This Bible may be about an inch and a quarter. Their Bible is like a three-eighths of an inch thick. Seems to me to have some things missing. No, no, this version of the Bible does away with anything that repeats itself. Uh oh. Amen. I know who I am, and usually you can ask my wife, she'll back it up. She's yeah, usually you need to hear it two, three times before it gets through your whatever's in the way before you start to. So if God's if God said it three times, it's because you and I, we need to hear it, we need to read it. One, two, three times. This is what remembrance is. The verses that you quoted today, did you just say it once during the week and you had it? You know? Praise God. If you did, then I envy your mind. But knowing your mind and knowing my mind, you need to, I gotta remember it. You're halfway through. I forget what's the next word, what's the next, and you repeat it, and it repeats itself, and you repeat until you know it. Praise God. Where you're able to stand up on Sunday in front of everybody without stage fright and say, Oh, John 3 16, and you quote the scripture verse. Praise God, young and old. Amen. We're not saved, going back, we're not saved by works. But once we get saved, we have there's some things you and I need to do. Praise God. I know some people don't. I, anyways, I won't get into the other doctrines where people have they just they just make up some silly stuff. Praise God. I don't mind God's gift, it is eternal life. But when the devil comes knocking on my door, amen. I don't it's I call upon the name of the Lord, though, as the Bible says, to be saved. And the the um the the the instruction, I mean, God has and it's just not instruction. God has given us everything we need to endure until the end. Amen. His name is Jesus Christ. Amen. He's given us power, he's given us direction, which is divine, amen, which comes from above. He's given us the when when my brothers and sisters stand with the Bible that's open in their hands and they exhort and they edify because of what they read or because what they what has been memorized. When I go home Sunday nights and I go through the comments, and um I mean the day is over, and and uh the the the the eyes are heavy, the flesh is tired up the meetings and such, but I go through to read the comments and I'm edified. Amen. Sometimes I take notes saying there. I I didn't think of this direction, I didn't think of this verse, I didn't think of this, amen, because there's a lot to think of when you open up this book and all the pages, all the verses that's there. Praise God. Amen. You're not gonna run out and say, Well, what am I gonna do now? No, you're gonna keep uh the the the the uh what's in you're gonna keep inspiring your mind to receive from what thus saith the Lord. I mean you're gonna keep inspiring the the the inspiration, you're you're gonna keep your your mind alive and well because of what we have. And this is what Paul is saying, uh brother, Peter is saying here. He says, I now write unto you, he said, this second epistle. He said, I wrote the first epistle, so we know there's five chapters, I think, in the first epistle of Peter. And he said, Before but now I write unto you in both epistles, I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance. And if you keep reading, you'll see what the saints in Peter's day and in our day as well need to be reminded of. I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance. Amen. What's another word for remembrance? A reminder. It's a reminder. Pick out four letters out of that word reminder, M-I-N-D, your mind. Amen. I need to remind myself the Bible stays closed, it won't take long for the flesh to take over and we'll forget. There's people who have forgotten all about this live stream after a while, and they've forgotten all about this place because it's been so long. Don't even think about it anymore. Can you imagine? I'm sitting on the French side, too many empty seats in front of me. I mean, I can name some names. Not my not you folks in Africa or all the way in Alberta. That's a long way to go to go to church or Yorkton or wherever you wherever you're listening from. I was talking right here on the French side, you know, folks close at hand, our neighbor was listening. So I can name some names. I can go up to the seat that they always sat in, and if I was to rub my fingers on that seat, I'd come up with a whole bunch of dust because the seat hasn't been used for a while. My brother used to preach, he's he's he's waiting his reward now, but he said, People's Bibles have so much dust on it, you can write damnation with your finger on the cover because it hasn't been dusted off. Time to read, time to open up the scriptures, time to work out my salvation with fear and with trembling. Never mind what somebody else is getting into. I mean, we can pray, we can I can beseech, I can stand here for an hour and and you know, with a little bit of a louder voice or yell at you for an hour, trying to encourage you to be where you ought to be in God. But in the meantime, I have a soul, you have a soul, and we need to take care of that soul. And it helps when you have men of God such as Peter, amen. It's a strength to our souls when you have men of God such as Paul that are able to teach us what we're being taught today. Hallelujah. That my mind that I can be sober, no outside influences coming my way. Praise God. No outside influences that are that is going to disturb me, that's gonna take me out of the way. Praise God. Hallelujah. There's one way we can't sit there and say, well, I get a do over. That only works with games, and this is not a game. Amen. The devil is playing for keeps. He doesn't want Satan realized, he's saying, Well, there's no way out for me. God made this place, and I'm eternally judged, I'm eternally damned. And he wants you for company. Now's the time for you listening and saying, the devil is a liar. Amen. I'm not going to hell because of any, what because of because of just because of anybody. What anybody has to say. What anybody else wants to say. Amen. My mind, when we're talking about a pure mind, what we have just read, I stir up your pure minds. Do we understand what pure means? You go to the store and you want to buy 100% juice. So pick your flavor, grape or apple, whatever you 100%. When you read the ingredients, how many ingredients should there be with 100% juice? Pure, 100%. Not 99 with 1% of something else. Here's my Bible. If I take my Bible and put it on my desk, I got a Bible on my desk. That's pure. I refer to a dictionary, you know that, because I'll try to understand the meaning of a word or try to get more insight of a word. But I go by, I don't let the dictionary define the word of God. Amen. It helps. Sometimes it gets in the way. I need to keep my salvation pure. I need to keep my doctrine pure. Undefiled is another word. So when I walk with the what when I walk with this Bible, there's there's there I'm not receiving input from a different source. There's not something is not, whatever the devil wants to generate, I mean I thank God that something is not running interference. I sound, I watch, I stand, I I'm at guard, making sure that whatever the devil wants to sprinkle, his seeds of doubt, his seeds of disobedience, and it becomes mixed up. Amen. I'm protecting my lump. And that's you and I, because we we are of the same loaf, we have the same bread. But the devil comes around, he wants some leaven. I don't know if there's a seed any smaller than the seed which is leaven, but that that grain, that little grain, but it it does it grows. We know I don't see it, it doesn't grow roots, but it just grows, it makes things, it inflates, makes things grow. And this was used, this was used purposely by the Holy Ghost to inspire holy men that wrote what they wrote, so that we have an understanding that it doesn't take much for the loaf to be corrupted. So when Paul Peter here is writing, he says, I want to, I'm gonna stir up your pure minds, and I'm gonna remind you of certain things so that your mind stays pure. Put you into a position, turn Colossians. I'm gonna read one more last passage before I pray. Chapter 3. Because when I mentioned two passages ago, 1 Peter 1, 2 Peter 3, when I said this now it's about you. Now it's really gonna get personal. Colossians chapter 3. Because this puts us, it puts you and I in our in the in the in the pla in our place where we ought to be. Now we're gonna read about not only, and as I said, the evolution, the progress that I want you to see from a sober mind, from rather from a sound mind to a sober mind to a pure mind. Now let's read Colossians chapter 3, verse 12 and 13. Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind. On the French side, it just said humbleness. Just said humility. Didn't we understood he was talking about the mind of, I trust I made that clear on the French side. On the English side, it's a lot easier to follow because it's it's using uh it's not by nuance, it's using the word outrightly or directly. Humbleness of mind. Not every mind is cut out for this. Let me finish the verse. Your kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and long suffering. Now we're about to find out why if we read verse 13, but give me a few seconds. Put on therefore us the elect of God, holy and beloved. Amen. Despite what you may have heard in your church today, someone say holy. Amen. Someone said, My beloved is holy. Amen. When I see my brother, I see the blood. I pointed to my brother on the French side. I said, Brother, when I'm standing in the flesh right now, when I look at you, I see your your hoodie with the white stripe. But if I step into the spirit, I see the blood of Jesus Christ. Because it because your sins are washed, it has been applied. And he had a grin on his face. I looked at his wife and said, I see your sweater. It's like off-gray. But in the spirit, praise God, you've been washed. This is how I this is how I treat my brothers and sisters. This puts me, it puts me, it gives me the right perspective. Because verse 13, as we continue to read Colossians chapter 3, it says, Forbearing one another, forgiving one another. If any man have a quarrel against any, even as Christ forgave you, those five words are underlined in my text. Even as Christ forgave you, someone say, Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for forgiveness. So also do ye, as Christ forgave me, so also I must be forgiving. Amen. I must have the same mind, the same heart. Amen. When you read this, there's no impurity. This is no impurity, a pure mind, amen, which leads to a humble mind, and it allows me to be, like I said, it gives me the right perspective. It allows me to know who I am in Christ. And at the same time, it allows me to know who my sister is in Christ. Amen. It allows me to know where God has positioned me within the body of Christ. Amen. This is not only forbearance for my brothers and sisters, this is also, amen, with forgiveness. Amen. So I thank God today that I can have that I can what God has given me, not the spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. What God has given me, I can receive it and I can work with it. I can put it to work. I can become a participant of the because partaking of these things, I can participate. Amen. When I partake of what God has given, when I receive what God has given us, what God expects for you and I to have in our lives, when I partake of it, when I receive it, when I partake of it, I can participate. Praise God. The way I pray. Amen. The way, the way the the the the the the actions which are just not perceived, but the actions which be which become my life to glorify God and to give God honor. This is where so many people fall short. This is not just, we don't open up the Bible, this is not just for our reading entertainment.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00This just doesn't become our, well, I read a verse today, or I read a chapter today, or I read or read the text that Lincoln sent out today, or or that somebody else wrote. This needs to be applied to our lives. Amen. This needs to be applied to our minds, to how we think. This make this needs to make its way into our hearts. What you think matters. Amen. This is week number seven, running under that title. And what what I think, so and and what I think is what is going to be in my mind. So I need a mind which is a sound mind. Not to not wishy-washy, not not standing wondering, saying, Well, I wonder if, or I need to go, or because so uh I know in whom I believe. Amen. In whom I am persuaded. Praise God. Hallelujah. I've making a stand, I'm making a decision, and there's it can be no backing down. Praise God. Knowing what I read, knowing what I put to work, knowing that what I read is what I put to work. This is what Peter is saying. He says, some things you need to remember. And I'm gonna stir up your pure minds. I left this illustration, I'm gonna pray in a couple minutes, but I left this illustration on the French side. When my when my wife gets ready to cook, and she takes out she takes out the blender, the machine with those two little things that spin on the bowl, and she puts the bowl and um, I know you ladies, you know what I'm talking about. So she puts the bowl and she turns the machine on, and the bowl starts to turn around, and um the blades, I guess is what you call the blades. The beaters, okay. The beaters, the blades of the beater, they start to spin, and you know, I'm standing there, there's nothing in the bowl yet. So she must be a bad baker. No, she's a good baker, but it's there's nothing, it starts with nothing in the bowl. You stand here, you're looking at the bowl, and there's nothing in the bowl. There's nothing being stirred up. So when Peter hears right, he says, I stir up your pure minds, there's something to be stirred. So the the bowl is turning, the bowl is rotating, and the beaters are spinning, and then my wife comes, she drops some flour in. Now the flower is being stirred up. Nothing in the bowl, nothing gets stirred up. Flour in the bowl, the flower is being stirred up. Now, whatever she's making, if she needs some butter, now the now the butter and the flour is being stirred up. So you're saying, where are you getting at? Well, select a verse, read it, select another verse, read it, put the two together because it is the word of God. Make sure that's in your mind. Peter's there saying, I'm gonna stir this up. Whoever divided chapters and verses, thank God for them. We can find our place, we can find our position very quickly. But in the meantime, praise God, all this becomes uh in my mind, stirred up. All it becomes, it's the perfect ingredients for a sound mind, for a sober mind, for a mind that is gonna do those things which please, amen. It's gonna we're gonna be thinking on God doing those things which please him. A mind that meditates on his law day and night. Amen. That's a blessed man, a blessed woman. That's you have a blessing because there's we have after, I don't know what time it is, but if I've been at this for an hour, right now there's there's an hour's worth of ingredients that can be stirred up. Read from Peter, he read from 2 Peter, from 1 Peter, from the book of Colossians, quoted from Romans, read something from Jesus from the book of Matthew, chapter 24, and chapter 25, made reference to this can be stirred up. If if yeah, if there's if none of this is being added to the bowl, added to your mind, nothing to be stirred up. You sit at home absent-minded, or your mind is wandering somewhere else, not being don't allow the devil to stir whatever he wants up. Amen. Coming to you with whatever has nothing to do with your salvation. Amen. Begin to draw, um, I don't want to use this term too much, but begin to draw a line at difference. Say, now this is of get thee behind me. Amen. This is of no circumstance. I gotta deal with this. Some things we have to deal with, don't get me wrong, some things I'm not an ostrich with my head buried in the sand. Some things we need to deal with, but I'm gonna deal with this, and then I'm gonna all of a sudden I'm gonna move on. Some folks need help, I'll pour in the oil, pour in the wine, get you a place to stay, put some coins on the counter, and say, tomorrow I'm gone. But maybe somebody else can take over. I've got things to do, places to go. Hallelujah. Like I said, to invest into the I'm gonna pray two minutes, to invest into the eternal dividends which God has in store for you and I. A place that is ready. Someone say there's a place for you and for me. Amen. Let's bring home personal. There's a place. Jesus said, I go to prepare you a place, a place, a place for you, and I thank God, amen. I intend to do what I need to do to honor that, which Jesus has done for me. There's a place for you here, Sundays, whatever time zone that you may be in. When we begin to live stream. As I said, there's a place in this building for those in this area, there's a place for you to be. Don't allow your place to be absent. Don't allow whatever responsibilities to begin to take over the time that needs to be spent in the house of God. I've had people tell me, well, I don't have to go. Well, then God built this place for nothing. My brother just yelled out, he says it's the minimum in English, it's the least that we can do. Praise God. Otherwise, there's some kind of uh, you know, everything that God has given us, begin to analyze. If I said, get the right perception. I used this word a few minutes ago. Receive the right perception that God has given us so that we can put things in, you know, keep things in perspective. Saying that this makes sense. Now I understand why I need this in my life. Now I understand why, whatever time zone you're in, I turn on the live stream comes on, and the word of God is being used. The word of God is being my mind is being stirred up because the word that is in there. Read a verse today that I hadn't read for a while. Stirs up my remembrance. Amen. I've gone through this Bible, but I'll be honest with you, I've read the book of Ephesians more than I've read the book of Leviticus. So every once in a while, somebody read, oh, there's a good verse for me in Leviticus, kind of stirs up, brings back, oh yeah, I remember reading that three, four times. Book of Ephesians, maybe 30, 40 times, if not more. You understand what I'm saying? That remember, it's this is critical for our salvation. Did I say two minutes? Stand and remind me. Amen. I'll ask you for another two minutes. I said two minutes three times.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Praise God. Amen. I'll see you standing. Yeah, I could use another two minutes. Through the Spirit of God. I just want to make sure that there's nothing, the scriptures we read today, there's there's nothing fancy, there's nothing homiletical about it. There's nothing, you know, I don't have to homogenize anything. It's just we read these scriptures, it's speaking of our minds. And I'm using the title for a sound mind because we understand what that means. Somebody who's of a sound mind knows what he's doing, knows what he's thinking. Amen. You keep that sound mind by keeping it sober. Don't allow something to penetrate or to infiltrate. Amen. This is the second thing that we looked at. Then with the third aspect we looked at was a pure mind. Amen. So to me, I can see a progression. If you don't, don't worry, it's not, it's not, it's not a revelation. It's just the way I lined up scriptures. I was saying this sound mind. Okay, uh, sober pure mind. Put the humble mind at the end so we know who we are in Christ. Let's put our hands up. Gonna pray. Let's be thankful for the word. Before I even start to pray, I want some of you to say, I'm thankful for the word. I came into the house of God, and there was a word. Amen. For me. Scripture for me. Praise God. I know some of you, everyone listening online, it's not that you came to the house of God, but you logged in or how however it works. And you have received what God has for us today. And your family as well. For that blessing. Thank God for the reading of the word. Amen. Say it. Amen. I want to hear you say it at home. By faith. Praise God. Thankful for the reading of the word. Amen. Had you been here what time? Is it 6 30 yet? Or it's past 6 30? So, so quarter to seven. So 6 30, 1.35. We we've been, as far as the word of God is concerned, like five hours that we've been here. Hear scripture quoted, heard scripture being read. Amen. We're taking a lot home with us today. On the school bus tomorrow, amen. We've taken a lot of things to on the school bus to school, in the playground, amen, because of what we received today. And I appreciate what you repeated, what you recited.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00Praise God. You understand what I'm saying? You understand? J'apprécie ce que vous avez recité. Amen. La peine que vous avez pris pour reciter. Les versets devins vos frères et vos sards avec. Amen. Hallelujah. Even the little brother, sisters, everyone listening, amen. I appreciate the effort that we put into this. Amen. Make it to the end. Father in heaven, I'm thankful for my brothers and sisters today. The understanding that we have received from the reading of your word. I thank God for every person listening, whether it be the first time on the live stream or we play this during the week or in a month from now, whatever is being repeated, we're being reminded, being brought to our remembrance. Praise God. Touch my brothers and sisters today, everyone listening, everyone standing before me, either side of this camera. I thank God for the blessing, praise God, which we have received because we open up our Bibles. Because we open up the scriptures with eyes to see as we read, ears to hear, as the preacher preached, hearts to receive. Thank God for a mind that is pure. I come against whatever is impure, whatever is darkness going against the light, whatever is corruptible or corrupting, so that our minds, our hearts be pure in Jesus' name. We can resist the devil, we can resist the evil in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. So that we can that we can keep only what you have given us, not the spirit of fear, power, love, sound mind. I thank God for this these very aspects which we have received. You're a good God, you're good to us. We know and we appreciate who you are, the love which you have in Jesus' name. Now I pray for someone they've not reached, they're not there yet, not where they should be. Now is the time to call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. Believe it in your heart, confess it with your tongue, your lips, move your tongue before it's too late. Amen. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Thank God today for so great salvation which we have received. Touch my brothers and sisters, the young ones on their way to school tomorrow in a few hours. Protect them where they may be. Adults working on the job, some are working right now. Keep them safe, keep them protected in Jesus' name. Lord, I thank God for the blessing once again of this technology. We're able to use and uh effectively put to work whatever is at our fingertips today, so that the word of God without shame can be made known. So that Jesus Christ, your Son, and Him crucified, can be preached. Father in heaven, I thank God for this week which you have given us. It's the first day we're starting a brand new week. Whatever's in store for us, praise God that we make our way through you with us, not forsaken. Whether we have to go through water, whether we have to go through fire, or whether we have to just go through nothing, God, you'll be with us. And we appreciate that promise. And I pray that into the lives of my brothers and sisters. Live 365 listeners, especially those listening from behind bars, be blessed. Praise God. Be not ashamed of the Bible that's in your hands. Make a way so that they can serve God, that they can serve you. Father in heaven, make a way so that they can serve you, even incarcerated in their prison cell, but that they can they can be a living witness that they can be a light because of what is in them. Lord, I thank God for a sound mind which we have received because we open up the word of God in Jesus' name. Praise God. A renewed mind is a right mind. Thank God this is not the mind that we came into this world with, but this is the mind that we're going to make we're going to endure until the end. In Jesus' name. I pray these things. Amen. And amen. Praise God. Thank God for the blessing. Are you blessed today because of God's word? Amen. Praise God. You read the description as we stay focused, you know, on biblical things. This is what is um with what enters our mind. And we need to keep that 100% pure as we've just finished reading, where our minds to be pure, where there's no impurities coming in to dilute the effect of the effectiveness of God's words. Praise God. This is what happens when the word of God becomes iffy or doubtful or we're not so sure, our faith becomes diluted, and pretty soon our faith is not, we can't get anywhere because our faith is just not where it should be. Amen. Faith which cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, this is what's going to keep our hearts and our minds and our souls exactly where they should be to endure until the end. Exactly where they should be. And that's for you and I. Say, oh yeah, I gotta get to the end. But meanwhile, on my way to the end, when when we just when I just finish reading scriptures, we get the right wording. The last scripture that we heard, forbearing one another and forgiving one another, there is that too. And for that, we need we need guidance from God, guidance from his word. We need the Spirit of God to lead us and to guide us into all truth. So I trust that what we read today through the through the help of the Holy Ghost leading us and guide us, guiding us, that it did good to our souls. Amen. Blessed with the word of God. And um until until we until I meet again, like I said today, I'm grateful to be gathered with believers. Amen. And so until we gather again, amen. I love each and every one of you. My name is Lincoln. Thank God for joining in with us today. Thank God for allowing us here in Montreal as to become a part of your life, as your life with the word of God, with our faith. Thank God for your offerings, your tithes, thank God for your fastings, thank God for your praying. That um and we put all this together and we are doing a work. There are souls being saved. Praise God. My name is Lincoln. I love each and every one of you. Remember what you think matters. Amen. What you say matters, what you think matters. Keep your mind pure, keep your mind sound, keep your mind sober, keep your mind humble, praise God. And we're gonna do those things which God needs you and I to do on the face of the earth, and they're gonna be done godly, they're gonna be done biblically. Thank God, praise God for his word today. Amen. Put your hands together, let's clap. Once again, I love each and every one of you until the next time. Remember what you think matters. Praise God. Hallelujah. Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Everyone claps! And to God, shout unto him with a voice of triumph. Amen. Well, I trust the word of God has blessed you today. God has given us a generous portion of our daily bread.
