SPEAKER_00

Because I know He'll take care of me and I know He'll provide for me and I know if you know, put your hands together.

SPEAKER_01

I want people who love the Lord as our sister continues to sing. I want people who love the Lord to clap their hands. Amen. Because I know in whom I serve, amen. I know in whom I believe. I know in whom I'm persuaded today. Praise God. She's singing about people who are positive. Amen. That God is God. That God is on the throne. Praise God. Hallelujah. At home, join with us.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. We are in central Newfoundland.

SPEAKER_01

But we're praising God. Hallelujah. God who's been good to me. Praise God. Even God who provides for me. Hallelujah. God who is worthy of your praise. Praise God. God who is always there. Amen. It was my fault that took so long, but God was always there. Praise God. Hallelujah. Praise God. Listen to me in the name of the Lord.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_01

He's good to me. Put your hands together and clap one more time. Praise God. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_00

I never had a doubt. No doubt. I never had a roll. No doubt. Praise God. Hallelujah. This morning when I roll. I never had a doubt. I know. I know he's been good to me. Praise God.

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah. Praise God. Clap your hands. Keep clapping. God is worthy. 30-second praise. Put your hands together. We're gonna make some noise. We're gonna change this atmosphere. Praise God. Take what we're making here, right into your kitchen, right into your living room, right where you're at, right into your hospital room, right into your into your cell room, into your jail, into the jail house. The Spirit of God is beginning to move right now. Praise God. Hallelujah. You can get up on your feet, praise God, and make a difference. Hallelujah. Amen. Right where you're at, praise God, as our sister plays, as the anointing that breaks the yoke, praise God, amen. Because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt. Praise God. There's a persuasion that's in me. Hallelujah. And his name is Jesus. Praise God. The work which was brought on Calvary. Hallelujah. Washed in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Praise God. This is what I know. Amen. This is what the understanding which I have received. Praise God. Hallelujah. Praise God.

SPEAKER_00

Blessed be the name of the Lord. He'll take care of me and I know. He'll provide for me and I know. He'll take care of you and I know. He'll provide for you as I know. I know, I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Praise God. Rejoice.

SPEAKER_00

Praise His holy name. And I know He'll take care of me. And I know He'll provide for me. And I know. He's so good, so good.

SPEAKER_01

So good to me. Amen. When I think of His goodness. Amen. Everyone who knows, put your hands together. Amen. Clap unto God. If you love the Lord, and I know you do. Praise God. Clap, even if you're all by yourself in your kitchen or in your house, clap unto God. Hallelujah. Amen. The more you clap, the less you'll feel that you're by yourself. Praise God. Hallelujah. We're doing what the Bible says to do.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. Verse 3 in Psalm 40 it says, And he hath put a new song in my mouth. Even praise unto our God. Many shall see it in fear, and they shall trust in the Lord. Now, blessed is the next verse says, Now, blessed is that man, blessed is that person that maketh the Lord his trust. Amen. Are you thankful for the word of God today? Amen. Are you thankful for what God has given us through his word? Praise God. Amen. I'm talking to you. Are you thankful? Amen. For his goodness. Amen. It doesn't matter what my eyes see, and God's word is still God's word. Amen. The devil tries to use, well, he is a deceiver, so he tries to use deception. Amen. But as I said, it doesn't matter what I'm seeing, it doesn't matter what my eyes may see or what the headlines may write about. God's word is still remains God's word. Praise God. Amen. It stands firm in the heavens, the Bible says. And I thank God today what I read. Amen. Well, what I'm reading now, I mean, I've already read it. Amen. It's it's been a while, right, sister? We've been reading this for years. But whether we read it 10 years ago or 20 years ago, or we're reading it 20 seconds ago, it's still God's word. Hallelujah. And if I thank God, I meant the efficiency of God's word. As I said, 10 years ago, 20 years ago, do I keep going 30 years ago, 40 years ago? Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. As I mentioned when our sister was singing, amen. God's always been there for us. This is my fault that took so long to get there. Amen. Some of us, we're we're just making it, praise God. And some of us just making it on time or in time. Amen. But God's always been there. God's always been on his throne. His word has been spoken. But I thank God that because of his patience and his long suffering, we made it. Amen. If some of you have just made it, you know, put you and put your hands up and say, I made it. Praise God. Amen. I'm here. Praise God today. I'm where God wants me to be because I made it. Praise God. Hallelujah. So blessed is that man, blessed is that woman that maketh the Lord his trust or their trust and respects not the proud nor such as turn aside to lies. I've been kind of a little bit of a thought that has been going part of our theme today, and um for what we hear or what we may be hearing, you know, coming in off the sidelines or something, uh, where people have their ideal ideology, I guess would be the word, their their their type or their brand of churchology. And um but I you know I thank God I have I have something to I have something to refer to. I'm getting my Bible. If you're listening on radio, you don't see, but my King James Bible is in my hands right now. And um I thank God that I mean this is final authority. Amen. If someone else can say amen. Amen. This is where this is where truth lies. And when I open this book, I mean right now what you see is paper and ink. Well, when I open this book and my eyes begin to read and the words come off these pages, amen. This is this is this book is it it's dead. It's paper and ink. But wherever my Bible opened up, it opened up Isaiah 20, there's a bookmark. Amen. Um, in the year that tartan, I'm just reading until Ashla, let me read something that's low. The burden of Egypt, behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud. The moment I read, it becomes spirit, it becomes life. Amen. This is the blessing. I was gonna say, this is the privilege that we have, it doesn't matter. I can turn somewhere else. I'm in Jeremiah chapter 14, the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth. Amen. There's people in trouble because of their disobedience, but the moment I read this, it comes off the it comes off the paper, and uh because my eyes are my eyes are open to see, and it comes and it becomes life. Amen. And this is what people don't recognize if you read this thing like they were reading a dead document. Amen. But I thank God, I mean, not only does this make me alive, but this keeps me alive. Praise God. Amen. Are you there with me? Yes, praise God. I thank God for that blessing that we do have, amen. In the name of Jesus, praise God. So today, I'm gonna pray in a few minutes, and today what's gonna make a difference is um uh that we'll pray, as our sister said, pray, pray, prayer fixes it, prayer makes it right, prayer, prayer makes a difference. Praise God.

SPEAKER_00

I have decided to follow Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

If you haven't made up your mind, now's the time to make up your mind. Get this thing right once and for all, amen. Praise God. Yeah, no turning back, no no, no turning back, no no, no turning back, no no, no turning back, no no no praise God. Order my steps, Lord, amen, hallelujah, amen. The steps of a good man are ordered to the Lord, praise God. The way is Jesus Christ, amen. No turning back, no, hallelujah, old things are passed away, amen. I left my dog vomit behind, amen. My pig mire behind, amen. There's nothing to go back to, amen. I'm not going back to Egypt, I'm not going back to the slave master. Praise God, amen. I'm following Jesus, amen.

SPEAKER_00

The great shepherd, hallelujah, praise God, no turning back, no turning back, no no no turning back, hallelujah.

SPEAKER_01

Someone in the comments you can write no turning back, amen. You can look at the person next to you and say, no turning back, praise God, no turning back, amen. If you gotta if you gotta stomp your foot just to let the devil know that you mean business and you're serious, no turning back. Amen, praise God. You may as well stomp on the devil, on scorpions, and no turning back, amen. On serpents, no turning back, amen. Praise God, because the devil will test you and he'll try you, amen. He'll try to sit there and say, uh, well, how much truth is this to this? But the primary antagonist to my soul, if you would, amen, Satan, Lucifer, the devil, liar that he is, praise God, amen. He tried it on Jesus and did not succeed. Amen. And the Bible says, Greater is he that is in you, greater is he that is in me than he that is in this world. Praise God. Put your put your hands up. Let's put our hands up, let's stand. Hallelujah. Grateful, thankful. Give you 20 seconds to share this link because we're gonna pray. That's important. Praise God. Another 10 seconds, get everybody online. That should be. Praise God. Thank God for some of the names that I saw before I came out. Hallelujah. Saints in York listening, Saints in Edmonton. Amen. Saints in Newfoundland, those that aren't here, those that are here tonight, praise God. A blessing on YouTube. Don't forget our app. Amen. For the first time this morning, I was able to see the app on someone's Android. And if it in the uh look, it sounded good, really good, and the image is really good. So we're we're glad for that. Praise God. Our hands are up, the link is shared, everybody's watching. Praise God by faith. Father in heaven, we are glad when we heard, let us go into the house of the Lord. We are glad to be here. This is sanctuary, this is refuge for us. Even if we're listening online virtually, there is something spiritual about your Holy Ghost that can be right in the hospital room right now, that can be right in that jail cell right now. Hallelujah! That can be right in the kitchen, the basement. And being with the this message, this voice that is being heard through the earbuds, somebody walking down the street. Maybe they're even sitting by a campfire somewhere, or driving down the road. But I thank God, amen, for those listening in this country south of the border in the U.S. And I thank God, Amen, for those in Africa listening on the French side a few minutes ago. And praise God. We're getting ready to receive once again. We have come into your presence with thanksgiving, we have come with praise, and we've come with the joy of the Lord, which is our strength, Father in heaven. We as we have given unto you, you do you teach us that those who give, they receive. And I thank God that in a couple of minutes we're about to sit down, we're about to get real comfortable, we're about to turn off all the distractions and make sure that we're not going to be disturbed for the next 60 minutes. Praise God. It doesn't matter who's in the house. Thank God for all the saints in Rimbi listening, praise God. The their the houseful will be blessed in the in in your presence today, praise God. And it's where I uh areas where I have forgotten to name the names is Regina, um, in Moose Jaw, praise God. Saints are listening in Winnipeg, there's saints listening in Montreal, praise God, and and and uh wherever you're listening today, Lord. I thank God that you have the same uh joy which we have here, praise God. I was glad when they said, After all, the Bible says that we must serve you with gladness, and today I thank God, and then the organ was um fired up, turned on and played, as the Bible teaches us. Praise God, the timbrel for a couple of minutes, amen, to make some noise, which is a joyful noise unto you. And I thank God for it, praise God that we have this opportunity once again. Whatever tomorrow holds, that's what happens tomorrow. But right now, in your presence, right now, coming through your gates, into your house, Lord. I pray that this will be a blessing for each and every one of my brothers and sisters. Lord, as we get ready to open up our Bibles, I thank God that we are going to have eyes to see, Lord, I pray, ears that are open to hear, and our hearts that are open to receive and to perceive what this what your spirit has to say unto the church, unto the saints today. And I pray that it'll be a blessing for all my brothers and sisters listening to the to the live stream, but also in the repeat mode. If they're listening tonight, or they're listening a day later, or a week later, or a month later. I thank God it will be a blessing as we ask, give us this day our daily bread. And we're so thankful for praying for our leaders. They're being misguided, they're being miscounseled, they're they're receiving information that is false. It may look good, it may come out of a church, but it's it's not of God, Lord. We pray that your spirit, amen, be able to reach them somehow, somehow, and that a man of God that would be anointed, that a woman of God that will be anointed, not just with some man-made, man-given credentials and uh and a and a and and whatever, a good sound to their voice. Uh Lord, they need that they need the Holy Ghost, our leaders right now. I mean, we have cities, major cities in this world that are falling apart, the finances aren't there, the decision, the right decisions are not there because good because as the Bible says, it is righteousness that exalteth the nation. And what is missing is not the know-how, it's not the degrees, it's not the counselors, it's not the presidents or the prime ministers or the members of parliament or the members of the house. What's missing is righteousness. And Lord, I pray, praise God, amen, that righteousness, amen, that that the righteous man, that the righteous woman will be able to stand and fill that gap, praise God, because there's a gap, and it's every day that proceeds, every day that goes by, the gap widens. But thank God for those who are standing in the gap. Lifting up a scepter of righteousness, amen. Your righteousness, righteousness which comes from your word, from your truth, from your spirit, Lord, and we can make a difference all the way down to the White House, all the way down to Parliament, wherever we may be, we can be light in the darkness. Anoint this message as it is about to come forth in Jesus' name. I thank God, praise God for everyone listening, and that we be blessed, even by your words. Anoint these lips. As the word of God comes forth, it will be spoken in excellence by the leading of the Holy Ghost and nothing else. Praise God. Thank God for your word today. Those that are struggling in the flesh because of health concerns or problems, circulation or headaches, or I don't know, the list could be very long, but in Jesus' name I rebuke whatever is causing these symptoms right now. And in Jesus' name, they receive deliverance and they receive their healing by the stripes of Jesus Christ. Make your request be known unto God. Amen. As I pray that the anointing will break that yoke in Jesus' name, whatever is causing fatigue, whatever is causing uh whatever's causing death. In Jesus' name, praise God. Amen. Thank God for that blessing, praise God, that we have today to receive from you, knowing, praise God, that your word is true, that you are, and that you are faithful to your word, and that we are blessed, praise God. Hallelujah. Amen. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen and amen. Praise God, hallelujah. Praise God. Here's a testimony. I'm going to translate this from French that just came in. This is from our sister Gregoire, who's 98. Amen. And she's the only one who believes in her family. But this is her witness. She's 98, and her son, who does not believe, and yet, I'll put some faith to work, amen. Yet, because she's testified, she's offered them Bibles. This is what he wrote. He said, I saw my mother this afternoon, and she is doing well. She is she has very high um moral morals, morale, morale, very high morale. And she's he said, This is very impressive impressive. I'll be trying to translate. He said, very impressive from a person who's 98 years old. So she she's she's impressing, and and the son, I've never met him, I've talked to him on the phone. He's at least 10 or 12 years older than I am. So if she she's 98 and she's impressing the unbelievers. That is true. We saw her. Um we saw we saw her Thursday, so so today's Sunday. So we saw her uh nine days ago. Not not Thursday, three days ago, but Thursday, so it's nine days we saw her nine days ago, and she was doing well. Her her breath was uh like no health problems. She's just looking for her lungs seem to be looking for air. So we prayed and uh we saw I played some sermons and some video from the church meeting, and uh sister, you're breathing well, praise God, on the families concerned, amen, of uh of what she's going through at 98 and you can't really blame them because they can only look at the flesh. Amen, but we can walk in the spirit. So my my apologies, she's 98 and a half. Praise God, amen. But I thank God today. So there's a testimony that we can go by. You can be 98 and still impress the unbelievers who are who are maybe or maybe they're not so much unbelieving anymore. Amen. They're looking. I wrote him this morning. I said, We are in our church in Newfoundland when our sister was praying. I was in the room and writing Roger, her son. I said, We are in Newfoundland and our church is praying for your mom. Amen. So this is the response that just came in when I was sending the link, a link to Justin. This is a my brother, this is a response that just came in. So I had to read it before I get situated and get ready to preach, because that's a blessing to my soul. Praise God. Before you seated, Amen. Look at someone and say, My brother, I love you and I'm praying for you. Amen. Praise God, hallelujah. This beautiful couple here, I love you, I'm praying for you. Amen. At home, say the same thing, my sister. Praise God, amen. Walk around and wave, hallelujah. Doing what the Bible says, Amen. It's what the Bible says, it's just to love one another, it's just to pray for one another. Amen. Teaches us to do. Praise God. Hallelujah. Once all is said and done, get your Bibles before you are seated. Get your Bibles. Get your Bibles. Get your Bibles. Amen. Hallelujah.

It's Jesus. Praise this Holy Name.

SPEAKER_01

Blessed be the name of the Lord. Praise God. Well, I welcome everyone listening. Amen. It's time to get into the Word of God, so we're going to do that. This is we don't have the board where I can read the names, so just some of the names I noticed just before I came out. Just making sure YouTube is working. So I welcome everyone on YouTube and Facebook. Thank God for those technologies. Amen. I wonder how I'm still on after some of the couple of things that that um I don't let it slip. I just, it needs to be preached. Folks need to hear this. Amen. And it doesn't matter if I'm talking about the economy or like I tell people, I'm not the one getting political. It's it's the political folks getting theological. Amen. When they come in our church and say this, you can't talk about this. You can't read Romans chapter 1. They want, you know, and they want to make it law because I'm still reading Romans chapter 1 and I'm still talking about this. Amen. But I've been minding my business all these years. They have the ones decided to come into this place. This is my sanctuary and my refuge. Praise God. I'm going to make sure that nobody messes that up. Amen. So it doesn't matter what the uh what we are what we are facing, praise God, or what is our uh the tribulations, the Bible says we're going through this. And you have folks that are teaching pre-trib and mid-trib and post-trib and whatever, and hang on for a sec, because the Bible says there shall be tribulation. So there's nothing pre- or mid or post about it. Amen. We need to get biblical and understand what the Bible says. Amen. The wrath of God, well, that's not for his sons and his daughters. This is what we escape. Amen. But the tribulations in this world, amen, that there shall be. And that there is, but again, greater is he that is in us. Praise God. So thank you so much for listening. Thank you so much for joining with us. We're happy folks in Newfoundland. Amen. That you have allowed us to come uh here from the Trans-Canada Highway Junction. Uh, come from here into your houses, praise God, and for what has been established on this corner. Um, somebody was asking, was 1981? Is when the tent was set up?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, 1981.

SPEAKER_01

1981. This is what this is what I could remember. And 1981 the tent was set up on and uh while this while this was well it had just closed, but it was a club. I mean this was a dancing floor, and this was a a um um a restaurant, I guess, restaurant club and whatever else was going. And um, so since 1981, things have changed as far as how it looks, but since 1981, the gospel is being preached, and this is a light, praise God, to this to this world. Amen. It doesn't matter who you talk to, just talking to somebody, somebody and and a good man, a good that he he works well for us and such, but there's always the well, there's there's there's so little of you up there, you know, you don't really need, amen. They always have that little, there's not so many, because every time they drive by, amen. It's a sign and a wonder, praise God. What they see is what they see, but what it's what they don't see, amen, that makes a difference. Praise God to who we are, amen. Because you can look at me, if you're carnal in the flesh, you can look at me and you can say, poor man's walking all by himself. But what you don't see, amen, when Jesus Christ was praying for you and I, he says, Father, he says, I will come unto them and I will make my abode. And Father, he says, You're coming with me. Amen. So that's Father, that's Christ Jesus, and that's me. That's three. Amen. All of a sudden that's three. But Jesus continued, and he says, and Jesus confirmed that. He said, That's three, but the three shall be one. And I thank God for that. Praise God. This is not, this is not church, you know, salvation, this is not church membership. This is life that Jesus Christ has come to give you and I. Amen. And this is what makes the difference when we show people and in in in demonstrating what who we have become, what we have become in Christ Jesus. Praise God. Because we don't see, I mentioned this last week, that there that God has given us love, power, and a sound mind. Now, none of these things you can see. You can't see the power, you can't see love, you can't sound, you can't see a sound mind, you can't see what my mind is thinking. You kind of know what my mind's thinking because I I'm not thinking something else and talking something else. I'm thinking and talking it, so you kind of know what what's in my mind because it's coming out of my mouth. It's what's in my heart. That's what but you can't see these things, they're spiritual. But at the same time, these are things that keep me spiritual. Now we can see the evidence of it. Amen. Praise God. I can say I love my wife all day long, but if I don't do the dishes every once in a while or vacuum the floor, there'd be no demonstration of that love. Well, I love you. Amen. And meanwhile, she's slaving away in the kitchen or slaving away in the laundry room or slaving away or whatever. There, there's um, I'm gonna use a biblical um example that James gave us. James says, I don't really see your faith, but he says, You show me your works and I'll know what your faith is all about. He says, I'll show me your works and I'll see your faith. Because you can't see faith. Amen. It's the it is spiritual. That's why we need to be spiritual. And you end up in a place that is carnal, and it doesn't matter, you know, the the the music seems to be a major draw in the churches these days, and how what how good their music program is and how many lights flash and how many people sing on key and what when whatever else, but it does it doesn't matter because you you can get better, and which is sad to say, but you can more often than not, you usually get better in the world. Lost all my amens now.

unknown

Amen.

SPEAKER_01

I worked in that industry for 20 years, and sometimes I would sit there shaking my head and looking at at the quality and also the quantity, the amount of people that were involved. You know, sometimes I look at sister singing when you were singing this this morning, or sister singing. You know, sometimes I look at the the efforts that are put in church and takes one song, two songs, three songs. Oh, finally they're starting to wake up. And fourth song, oh finally they're starting to, oh, they're just about to start to clap their hands now. Amen. Whereas in the world, amen, you you they count, you know, one, two, three, four, and that first beat hits, that first thump hits coming through the speakers. And I've seen, I mean, I've been in front of 10,000, 12,000, I've been in front of 65,000 people, and you see them all in one accord just going thumpy thump thump thump after the after the music. And when it comes time to serve God, not just an ordinary God, great God, whom He is. Amen. It seems to take so much effort. And Jesus Christ for what he has done for us, amen. It should take it should take it should take zero very little, down to zero effort, amen, to have to show, to be demonstrating joy and to be demonstrating copying our hands. When I look at my hands, my hands are good-looking hands, no holes in them, amen. Because Jesus Christ took the holes for me. So this is what I was saying last week. If you missed the teaching, go and teach it. I mean, we're supposed to show forth a pattern of good works. If you understand the word pattern, that just means you just didn't get lucky one day and did something good. Amen. A pattern is something that repeats. Amen. A pattern is something that is dependable. Amen. Carpenter's here sitting in front of me. When you make a pattern, amen, and then you repeat that pattern, doesn't matter how many times you repeat that pattern in the piece of plywood or cutting the it comes out the same because you have a pattern that follows for that to follow. Do you have a pattern that guides you? So when you have a pattern, when you show a pattern of good works, and we read last week from Romans chapter 12 how those works are good, one, acceptable, two, and anybody remember last week? Good, acceptable, and say it. Amen. Perfect. This is in Romans chapter 12 where we read the first two verses. Amen. So this is who we this is who we are in Christ. And I'm gonna I'm gonna be delving in a little deeper into the into the um into the aspect of our works because we have permeated, and I mentioned this this morning, but for those of you who miss the morning service here in Newfoundland, we have a gospel now that's beginning to permeate, that's been infiltrate into the churches. And they are taking um the the uh they're they're they're misunderstanding, first of all, what grace is, and they are disqualifying any work. Amen. To the point where Jesus, who said, if any man, endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And now they're interpreting that gospel as being that's a gospel of works. When I stand before that preacher and say, endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Amen. And then they sit there and say, Oh, you're preaching a gospel of works, Ephesians 2, chapter uh chapter 2, verses 7 and 8, or 7, 8, and 9. Forgetting again verse 10, for we are his workmanship created unto good works. I mean, I appreciate, I love verses 7, 8, and 9, because I am saved by grace, not by works, lest any man shall boast. Amen. No one else could have been successful, no one else could have succeeded as Jesus Christ Himself succeeded on the cross. Amen. That's why he was sent. Amen. It wasn't Peter, it wasn't Ezekiel, any man in the Bible that you can mention. It was Jesus, the Son of God, that came as sacrifice for our sins. I couldn't have done it, you couldn't have done it. Someone say, Thank you, Jesus. Amen, for doing that, taking the stripes. Praise God. Amen. Blessed be the name of the Lord. When you think of what he has done, so when you have this understanding now, this new indoctrination that the devil is able to subtly use and infiltrate the churches with, contrary to the scriptures, contrary to what the Bible teaches us. Amen. So this is why it's important to have the word of God in front of your eyes and not to be misled, not to be uh influenced by external circumstances. This is what we read last night, amen. That where where Paul was writing to Titus and he said, and he's teaching us to be sober-minded. Now, Paul's not writing to a bunch of drunks. Oh, they must have been drunk. Tell them to be sober. No, no, no, hang on. Amen. Peter as well uses that terminology. And and when Peter said to gird up the loins of your mind, I mean my loins are here and here and here. I showed this last week online. But he says, when he's saying to gird up the loins of your mind, it's not that my loins are up here, amen. It's the fact that when when they would gird up their loins with the loincloth, what they wore, their robes, they had to move fast, they had to get, they had to get their their the dress code, whatever they went by in those days, out of the way so that they could either walk or run or get you know get to work, get on their knees. And it's the same thing for our minds. So when we are taught to be sober-minded, it's not because it's not because we're a bunch of drunks. I mean, most of us haven't drank for years. Some would say, Thank God. Amen. Some of us have never drank. I can say, Thank God. Amen. But the the thing is, when you to understand this scripture, to be sober-minded, see, if if um if I drank, especially I've never drank, so it wouldn't take much for me to be inebriated, inebriated. It wouldn't be much for me to um lose lose control of my speech and lose control of my you know abilities or my reflexes or my or my judgment, my understanding of things, and because alcohol is influencing my nerves, or alcohol is influencing my vision, or alcohol is influencing my reflexes. Right now I can I'm in full control of my thoughts, my reflexes. I can walk a straight line if a police officer asks me to walk a straight line. Amen. Because I am sober-minded. There's no alcohol influencing my movements or my motions. So that's carnally. Now, spiritually, to be sober-minded, I don't have some doctrine from some unbelieving ministry that is uh incapacitating my abilities to believe or to have faith that I need the faith that you and I need before God. Amen. I'm sober-minded. I don't have something, I'm not drinking something that will intoxicate my faith. I'm not eating something that will intoxicate my faith. Spiritually, I'm speaking saying spiritually speaking, means there's all kinds of things that that uh that, as I said, come our way, but it doesn't matter what my eyes see or what my ears hear, God's word is still true. So when they use when they take these scriptures because they're not able to accomplish the works which God has given us to work, we are here to do the to accomplish the works of God. Amen. I remember here right in this building, the door, the door off on the on the side, a gentleman whom I'd never met, doorbells ringing, ding dong, ding-dong, and I go answer the I open the door and and um he doesn't say hello, he doesn't say anything, he goes, I'm saved. And uh and I looked at it like discerning the spirit. I looked at him saying, No, you're not. And he looked at me, he goes, What do you mean? I says, The Bible says you need to endure until the end. So if you're telling me you're saved right now, he says, I'm saved, I'm saved. If you're telling me you're saved right now, you're about to end. Well, he goes, I'm not gonna die. I said, Then you gotta keep going. And he stood there, he goes, Yeah, he said, I understand that scripture now. Amen. Never saw him since. Turn around and left. I don't know what his point was or what his vision was. I mean, he tried to convince me that there was only oneness, and I should be serving God on a Saturday, and I should be baptized in somebody's name, and then he tried to convince me all that other stuff, amen. But before he left, at least he left with an understanding of the scripture. Praise God. I got a ways to go. Amen. Even though I've been at this, I'm 64 and a half. I'll say it like my sister said, or almost a half. I'm 64 and almost a half. I've been at this for a while, praise God, but I still need, amen. I I I kind of see, I kind of feel like the end is near, but it's not quite. For those of you listening and you're not saved, you better be thankful for that. Amen. Praise God. But it kind of feels like we're getting close to the end. The persecution that this world is going through because of leadership or whatever, amen. But we need to pray for them, we need to forgive them. Amen. We read this last week, even as Christ forgave, this is who we are. Amen. And I mentioned also um that when I when I partake of what God has given us, of what God has allowed us, it allows me to participate. You know, I'm not just sitting there receiving or receiving. Freely as I have received it, I need to go give. Amen. Praise God. And this is this is who we this is the work that we put, that we put that we um that we work together to accomplish for the kingdom of God. Turn in Nehemiah, having just mentioned a few things that were that that have been um mentioned in the last broadcast. If you missed it, go and listen to it. Hallelujah. Nehemiah chapter 4. What you think matters. This is number eight in the series, so that means we've been at it for two months. And the month prior to that, I ran under a title, a main title that what you say matters. Amen. God is listening. Praise God. God knows. Amen. What you what you may be thinking. Praise God, before you even think it. And today I'm using for a subtitle, A Mind to Work. We're talking about the mind for the past two months, and now we're gonna read this in Nehemiah chapter four and the sixth verse. So built we the wall, and all the wall, the wall was in trouble. I already prayed, amen. That there's a gap, and the wall needs to be built. We need to be building, praise God, on a foundation that is true. Hallelujah. The example I'm using before we get into the New Testament, so built we the wall, and uh, all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof. And the the last part of this verse, uh, we're gonna dwell on that for a couple of minutes. For the people had a mind to work. Praise God. I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm gonna keep reading scriptures so that we leave in a few minutes, having not only the same mind, but the same vision. Without that vision, the Bible says we perish. The prophet of God writes this that we perish. So I thank God today that where we hear. I mean, listen, I'm gonna read this. So built we the wall. This is not a one-man show. Pay attention, pay close attention to the we part. And then the next part of that verse it says, for the people, and I in align the word people, I emphasize that word, for the people had a mind to work. I meet some people, they're not doing much for the kingdom of God, they are not profitable, and that's not my word, that's the word that Jesus Christ used. We need to be profitable for the kingdom of God, we need to be a servant that is profitable. You show me a servant that's not working, I'll show you no profit. I don't want to lose any of my amens, but I think I just did. Praise God. You show me we and we are well, brother, that's Old Testament. Well, I mean, good for you for having noticed. I'm reading the Old Testament. But from now on, it's gonna be all New Testament. I'm just laying some foundation here with what the with the what the writer, as we read Nehemiah, believe the the book is credited to have been written by Ezra. So Ezra and Nehemiah for what we're reading here. The people came together, they saw a problem, there was an issue, and they dealt with it for their own good. Turn into the New Testament in 2 Corinthians and the 13th chapter, and we're gonna continue to read. Praise God. See, there's something that I could be doing right now that would be beneficial for me, myself, and I. Amen. Just like some of you. I know you were here this morning. You you probably um you don't have to answer, you don't have to nod your head, but you probably went home scurried to make some supper and you left it to get here in time, and the dishes are still stacked in the sink. I'm not looking at anybody. Dishes are still stacked, you left because you what you chose what you made a choice of what is necessary, what is needful, and that's to be sitting at the feet of Jesus Christ to receive the word of God. But others we could make a decision saying, Oh, I got to stay home, I got to, you know, I gotta get to bed early because I'm getting up earlier, I got some work to do, you know, to vacuum or or close, or whatever, whatever the excuses are. But here you can read, when you read through the book of Nehemiah, you can read where people made a sacrifice. And when it got down to you read three chapters later, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, four chapters later, where the joy of the Lord was acknowledged as their strength. Praise God. And they worked with a tool in one hand, the Bible says, and a weapon in the other hand. Amen. It was not ideal conditions, but they had to do what they did, and they did what they had to do because the spirit of the Lord was upon them, because they had good leadership. Praise God. Men of God can go and stand before a king and say, King, this is what we need to do. Here's the project. This is we gotta build, and you're gonna let us go and give us time. We gotta do this, we gotta make this unto God and whatever. I can picture the king. Well, I guess I can let you go. And then the man of God says, Oh, oh yeah, and you're gonna pay for it. Amen. Those are men of God, those are prophets of God. Hallelujah. Not misleading, amen, but standing and letting the letting God know, amen, letting folks know who God is. Amen. And I thank God for that. Praise God. Pastor Michel called me and he says, he says, the government, that you know, the people that make the rules and regulations, and when they show up, they're always accompanied with the militia, which means a rifle strapped to the to the other person's back. And brother Michelle calls me and he says, Ah, they brought me into a meeting, and and uh, and um some of you saw the pictures that the the church still doesn't have the floor. Now the floor is almost done, but before the floor, and they said, Oh, they're giving us a two-week time period to get the floor done. And um, I told them, I says, Well, it's based on the budget, and they said, Well, we're gonna encourage you, we're gonna give you 2.5 million, which is about uh about 400, a little under 400 Canadian. So here they are saying, you gotta get to work and you have so much time to do it, we're gonna encourage you with two point with 400. It's a$30 million project, but the the the and that's their dollars and their their their pennies, however, so don't be don't be shocked. It's a$30 million project, but here's the government saying we're gonna encourage you by giving you 2.5 of that 30 million estimate to get the floor done. So then the inspector shows up a week later, oh brother, I may as well tell the whole story. So Pastor Michel goes in with the pictures, and the guy's looking at pictures, he goes, I thought you Christians didn't have any money. So I told Pastor Michel, I said, if they thought we didn't have any money and they gave us two weeks to do it thinking that we don't have money, they'd Planned on throwing you in jail because that's the threat. And he goes, Yeah, Pastor, he said, I was feeling kind of the same way. I said, But the devil is a liar. I says, What happened at the you know the meeting, the subsequent meeting? He says, Well, he didn't believe my pictures, so he's coming Monday morning at 10 a.m. The worker's got to be there, and he's gonna take pictures for himself. So he shows up and he sees that the church is half the half the floor is done in the church, and he says, You know what? I'm gonna order you. You you don't have that looks like you're running out of sand. He said, I'm gonna order a uh a dump full, a dump truck full, a load of sand. Amen. So I don't know what a load of sand is worth, but Pastor Michelle shows the picture, it's a big pile of sand coming up, so they mix the mortar and lay the tiles on the floor. He shows me the picture, the picture uh sent me a picture of the sand, but they paid for it. Amen. And this is what this is what it reminded me of Nehemiah. It reminded me of people of God who are who are able to stand before a man and for a woman before the government and just let them know. Hang on for a sec. Amen. We need to allow God to remain, we need to bring God into the equation. Praise God. Amen. To have the authority of the word of God, to know the Bible and put and put your faith to work. Praise God. When a man of God, the Bible, when James makes mention of this, he said there was a man of God who was able to pray with such efficiency, amen. The prayer of fervent is the French word. Fervently is the is the King James Bible word, amen, that he was able to say it's not gonna rain for three years, and it didn't rain for three years. Amen. And then when he spoke a word, he opened up the windows of heaven, even though there was naysayers. So if you're listening today and you're leaning towards being the naysayer, work with us, work with the people of God. Amen. Join with people who have who have success because God is with them and they are with God. Amen. And you'll see what listen to what I'm gonna read, 2 Corinthians 13, verse 11. You'll you'll see, amen, what God is able to do when somebody begins to move by faith, when somebody is able to speak by faith. Finally, and and note this word, finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace. I'm emphasizing these B words because you, like I said, you have people walking around saying, Oh, I won't have to do nothing. Jesus did everything, God did everything, nothing for you and I to do. No, I'm being told here, be perfect. I don't see it being optional. Amen. Thank you for the be of good comfort, because I'm losing some amen. So thank you for your amen. I don't see it being, I don't see it being an optional. He's just saying, be when he says, be perfect, be of good comfort. I know some people don't like the word perfect, so I'll I'll throw it, I'll throw it in it all together. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, be, be, be. He's not saying, well, if you feel like it, that's the way you ought to be on Sundays, but on Saturday night you can live like the devil in the club. That's not what this is not the message that we're receiving here. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you. That's a promise. I've said this over and over again. I says, when God gives us a commandment, it's always followed with a promise. When you do something for God, you're not doing it for vain. There's a benefit that you will reap. And then this is why, as I said last week, I can invest in the dividends of God. I can invest in the mercy and the grace that God has bestowed upon me. It allows me, praise God, to elaborate. Great and greater works shall you do. This is what Jesus said. Amen. So when you read what Paul is writing to the church, he says, Finally, my brethren, farewell. Be perfect. Amen. He's closing his letter, he's closing his epistle. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace. Praise God. Follow peace. His name is Hallelujah. Philippians. Praise his holy name. Praise God. Um different church. Same writer, same Holy Ghost. Philippians chapter 1, verse 27. Only let your conversation, and note how this verse is starting. Only. It's like you got one thing to do. You have one thing you should be concerned about. Amen. So let's read. Praise God. What Paul is writing to the church here. He says, only let your conversation be. There's a word again. People come. I've had people come to me, and it's their testimony, saying, I'm a Christian, or I've been around for, you know, Bible, I believe, I'm a believer. Just I've had people come, I'm a believer just like you. Well, no, no, no, no, you're not. You're a smoking believer. I'm a non-smoking believer. Amen. How dare you! And then they turn it, they turn that into judgment. Well, I'm not judging anything. I can see the cigarette. You keep huffing and puffing it into my in my nostrils. There's a difference. We need to see the before and the after. So when it says he said, be I'll go, I'll start again. Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ. What are you reading? What's in your hands? Hey man, some of you are gonna sit there and say, Well, I'm reading the Bible, it's the gospel of Christ. I know it's the Bible, this is the gospel. So only let your conversation, and conversation is not just what you say. Conversation is an old King James Bible word for how you live, your life. So if I put it into modern vernacular, only let your life be as it becometh the gospel of Christ. That whether I come and see you or else I be absent, I may hear of your affairs. That ye stand fast in one spirit, someone say one. With one mind, someone say one. Amen. Same mind, same spirit. What are we doing? We're striving together for the faith of the gospel. Amen. I don't know how you see or how you interpret the word striving, but when I lay myself down at night and I prayed and whatever, and I'm getting ready to sleep, I'm not striving. I'm just laying in my bed, relaxed, waiting for my eyes to get heavy and fall asleep. That's not striving. Amen. That's a good sleep. A sleep that is peaceful. Praise God. So when I read this scripture, striving together, we there's something that we're doing. There is something that is called the work of our hands. There is something that is called the fruit of your labor. Hallelujah. There is something when Jesus said the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. So if you have a gospel that there's nothing for us to do, what was Jesus? Who was Jesus talking about? Certainly not talking about you. If you're not, if you're not laboring, and I'm not mixing anything up, I'm not allowing the devil to come in with a subtle unawareness, creeping. Amen. Jude used the word creeping in unawares. Whenever I read that verse, I picture a snake crawling under the door. Even if the doors are locked and shut, there's still that little space between the floor and underneath the door, and I picture the snake crawling in, wigging, uh wiggling his way through the pews, trying to see who he can, who he can buffer, trying to see who he can distract. Or here he says, but Paul is saying, I want you to be as it becometh the gospel of Christ. He says, whether I'm there, whether I'm absent, whether I see you or whether I don't. I know Paul is an evangelist, but when I read this, it's kind of the impression I get. Whether I'm looking at you or if I'm not looking at you, you got to be, you got to live this life. Amen. I remind people, this is you may think nobody's watching, you may think there's nobody when you look over your shoulder. There's nobody looking at what I'm doing, but God can see. We need to pay attention to those who are around us. Turn the page into the second chapter of Philippians, chapter 2, verse 2. Fulfill ye my joy, make me happy. Amen. In French, I like the way it was read in French when we read this a few minutes ago. In French, Paul, it was translated. Paul says, Make my joy perfect. Since I can use both languages. In my King James it says, Fulfill ye my joy. Hallelujah. And by the word fulfill and using the word perfect, you get the nuance. Nothing missing. Amen. If my joy is fulfilled, there's no room for anything else. Praise God. So when the French use the word perfect, make my joy perfect. Fill, amen, fill my joy up so there's no sadness in me, there's no doubt in me, there's no there's nothing else that can work itself against the gospel of Christ. Fulfill ye my joy that ye be like-minded, underline that word. Having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. Praise God. Who's he talking to? He's not talking to dead folks. Amen. Who's who is Paul writing to? I know you can be blessed if you were if you were sitting there, you can be blessed and say, Well, he's he's talking to me, he's writing to me. Yes, he is. He's writing to us, he's writing to the people, amen, who have a mind to work. Praise God. I know if if some of you are sitting there, if some of you are sitting there saying, Well, no, hang on for a second, I don't really feel like doing anything, or it's not. No, there is a calling that is put upon us, there is a leading of the Spirit of God that makes a difference in who we are and how to and what we present as far as the gospel is concerned. And here when it says, Fulfill ye my joy, my joy, that ye be like-minded, have the same vision, praise God, amen, with the same results of souls being saved, having the same love, amen, being of one accord and of one mind. Amen. This is the writings of Paul. We read Nehemiah, we read three passages from Paul. Then we're gonna look at we're gonna close this by looking at what Peter had to say, what Peter had to write. But we because we are in a day and age today where where things have become so divided, so divided in such a way that there is a different different church building on on every two streets, if you would. I was gonna say on every corner, but that would be an exaggeration. But every second corner, every third, you get the picture. And it's flying a different flag, it's flying a different color. Standing behind a pulpit is a different word, it's a different speech, it's a different understanding, a different interpretation, a different understanding, it's a different, and this is how we have to meander our way through all this murk and mire that is that is uh dominated or that that is part of the dominions of the that belongs to Satan, that belongs to Lucifer, in such in such a way that there is all to see clearly, we need to have our Bibles open. To see clearly, we need to have someone, amen, that is able to stand with the anointing, with the power of God. Not and when when when the the the when when Paul wrote to Galatians and he said, You stand fast in the liberty, amen, wherewith Jesus Christ has made you free, and not to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Amen. I know in my position, and I mentioned to this, I mentioned this to uh our French pastors, in in my position, I need to be patient, I need to have patience, and I need to have meekness or kindness, because do serve in French. Uh meekness and temperance. Gentleness, that's the word I'm looking for. Gentleness. Because thank God for my wife, amen. She's the one who can kind of kind of remind me saying, you need to be, you need you need to gentilize yourself right now. You need to get gentle, praise God. Because in and I said in my position, yes, I need the patience, I need the gentleness, I need the kindness, be apt to teach. I need that. But when they buck, and when, and it's not, I'm saying they, what the odd person, too many, but the odd time, they buck and they press against you with a doctrine that you can't seem to erase, that you can't seem to to uh to to to like create a clean slate so that they can be that that I that will allow the Spirit of God to impart unto them an understanding that comes from God, which is which is truth. Amen. It seems it seems that um the when the when the when the flesh is given the opportunity to to uh to to absorb, that's the word, when the flesh is given the opportunity to absorb what is carnal, to absorb what is fleshly, to absorb what the flesh wants, it's it's it's telling you that the flesh is alive and the flesh needs to come under subjection. There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are where in Christ Jesus, who do what? Who do not walk after this flesh, but who do walk after the spirit. For the law of the life, amen. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. This is what makes me spiritual. Amen. I'm gonna reread. I think this was two Sundays ago, but go back into Romans chapter 8, and I usually quote it, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything in the next verses. Continuing, for they that are after the flesh, they do mind the things of the flesh. We need to get out of the flesh. They that are after the spirit, they mind the things of the spirit. That's Romans 8 and verse 5. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is what life and peace. Someone say life, someone else say peace. Amen. Because the carnal mind is enmity, that's mutual. Means the carnal mind doesn't like God's way, God's thinking, doesn't like God, and God doesn't like the carnal mind. And this is the understanding we receive when we read this. Amen. Is God a spirit? We all know the answer to that. Is God a spirit? Then to be spiritually minded, so you may be saying, What's that mean? Well, if God is a spirit, keep your mind stayed upon Him, and my peace shall I give them. That's Old Testament. Now I'm reading the New Testament, it's pretty simple. Amen. I'm trying to lay this out so a five-year-old can understand. If God is a spirit and I need to be spiritual, if I think on God, I'm gonna make me spiritual because God is a spirit. If I think on whatever else, the pleasures that are in this world, or whatever, you know, with the things that we can get caught up. I know we have to go to work, we have to punch our punch the time clock or time card, is that it? We have those responsibilities to go make a paycheck and collect, but we can't allow it like we cannot allow ourselves to be overcome by the things that are in this world. Amen. My kingdom, I know that I may have a responsibility to keep these doors open and keep the lights on and thank God for Kevin and Trudy's help. Amen. And all your help as well. That's our responsibility as we work together, but at the same time, this is all gonna burn. Amen. There's only so much I want to invest. Amen. My wife says you should be recycling this. I go, I'm not recycling. Why should I make the earth better for the beast? Amen. When I'm not gonna be here for very long. That's my attitude on recycling, but I do recycle because the law, because the city wants me to recycle, so I do recycle. But whenever I recycle, I'm thinking, says, Why am I making the earth a better place for the beast, for the antichrist when I'm not gonna be here? But, anyways, amen. We do our like I said, we do our civil duty, not uh not allowing ourselves or allowing our our flesh to take over, not allowing our fret the our flesh to be in control. Amen. So now let's read on Peter. Praise God. Remember Paul, one of the verses Paul wrote, he said, only, he started the verse with only. Now Peter's gonna start the verse with finely. I love my King James Bible. Only let your conversation. Peter writes, 1 Peter 3, verses 8 and 9. He says, Finally, be. Amen. Someone else say be. Because there's that word again. Praise God. Gonna read what we're supposed to be. Someone say, This is what this is who I am.

unknown

This is who I am.

SPEAKER_01

Finally, be ye all. Talking about the people who had a mind to work listening at home. Amen. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one for another. Amen. The only way you and I are gonna work together is if we have compassion one for another. If I can pray for you and you can pray for me, that's compassion one for another. Testimony this morning. And from my dear sister Lorraine. Amen. She says she was reading scriptures that were blessing me, and then she she um she she and and um oh I I promised her I'd stand still, so you can go ahead, sister, and lay hands on me right now. Amen. I'm not moving. There you go.

unknown

Amen.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not gonna move. My feet are glued. Ten seconds, sister. Get up and lay your hands because I know you're listening. Because here's me, I'm wondering, how does she do that? Now, some of you are sitting there saying, What are you even talking about? Sister testified, and she said, I watch you every Sunday, my brother. And she says, I when you start preaching, she says, I get up, and I and I picture my sister getting up, making her way to the flat screen. She says, I get up and I lay my hands on you so that you be anointed, so that the word of God will come forth and it will flow, and however else she prays. Amen. That's compassion. Praise God. I wonder why sometimes I'm barely making it to the podium because of whatever this flesh feels like, and all of a sudden I'm getting a bolt of anointed Holy Ghost. It's got to be from my sister Lorraine that's up against the flat screen with her hands on flat link and say, in the name of Jesus Christ, that man has power, that man has strength to preach forth the gospel of Christ. Amen. I thank God for that testimony. Praise God. I didn't even finish the verse. I love you, my sister. Amen. Praise God. Just have to catch me when I'm still. Praise God. Amen. I don't let everybody lay hands on me. But Sister Lorraine, my wife lays hands on me all the every time before I come out. We pray, praise God. But Sister Lorraine, lay hands on me for sure. Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. And if someone else feels like doing it, go right ahead. Amen. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another. Love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous, not rendering evil for evil or railing for work for, I'll start over, or railing for railing, but contrary to evil, contrary to railing, blessing. Someone say blessing. Knowing that ye are thereunto called, amen, that we are called to be a blessing. Amen. I'm blessed, and someone who is blessed is able to bless. Amen. That's the way I see it. That ye should inherit a blessing. Some of you are sitting there saying, I wonder where God is. Start blessing. In order to be blessed. Amen. As I said, this is not a gospel where you sit around and do nothing. Amen. When you read about Jesus, who is our the who is our example, the example of examples, when you read about Jesus, he was either on his way to heal somebody or he's coming back from delivering somebody. He was always on the go. These are this is the gospels that we have. And this is the love when we are told, amen, that we are to love as Jesus Christ loved, when we are to forgive as Jesus Christ forgave. Amen. I don't think I said enough times. B, B, B, B, B. What we're reading today, this is who we are in Christ. Finally, be ye all of one mind. That ye should inherit a blessing, verse 9, at the end of verse 9. Why? Because we're not rendering evil for evil, we're not exchanging evil for evil. We're not sharing evil. We're not sharing railing as well. Praise God. Let God have his way. Amen. Turn the page into the next chapter. One last passage I'm gonna read before I get ready to pray. Praise God for the blessing that you and I have today. First Peter chapter 4, verse 1 and verses, verses 1 and 2. Remember what we just read. Finally, be ye all of one mind. Now, the next chapter says, For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind. Amen. So let's back this up. For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind. What was on his mind? Talking about Jesus. The mind that Jesus had, and I want you to fill in the blank. The mind that Jesus had, he was willing to suffer for, and fill in the blank. I'm gonna fill in a blank. For Lincoln. Fill in a blank. Put your name there. Someone say amen. Someone say thank you, Jesus. This was the mind that he had. He didn't have sin, but he had, excuse me, he had a mind to suffer for my sin. Now he says, now we're being taught, arm yourselves likewise with the same man, the same mind. For he that has suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin. Amen. I know people read this and they go, man, they're talking about Jesus. Jesus never ceased from sin. Jesus didn't have to cease from sin because Jesus never sinned. So we can't be talking about Jesus. I know this riles people up. Amen. This is scripture. Peter gave us a scripture that is inspired of the Holy Ghost by holy men that wrote what we are reading right now. Amen. Holy men wrote what a Holy Ghost told them to write. That's why we call this the holy book. Because it is holy. It has proceeded out of the mouth of a holy God. So when you read, for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. Praise God. So as Jesus was willing to suffer, I will suffer in the flesh and cease from sin. A mind, what's my subtitle today? A mind to work. You gotta work at this. Oh no, that's not according to the gospel of grace. Paul wrote, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. These aren't things you do before you get saved. Before you get saved, you just sin. Sinners sin. That's what they do. Amen. I had this debate so often when I would work. I sit there watching them, the example of sin. Too much drinking, too much drugs, too much carrying on, too much whatever else. And they, you know, some some that have been, I guess, involved or rub shoulders, some of these people that I work with, and um they would look at me say, How come you don't judge us? And I said, Because you're a sinner. Sinner sins, I have nothing to judge. And they've heard me gone out before people. My my my judgment, if you would, gets turned on when somebody confesses that they've been saved, and they're and they're up to their works are not godly. Then there is a righteous judgment by the word, the word which judges all things that comes upon them. I look, I would look at them and say, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a sinner sins. Amen. That's how I in the world and being involved where I was, this is what I found out. Amen. And this is what I'd explain it to them exactly like this. And I would say, the day you come to me and say, I want to be like you, I want to be like Christ, I want to be saved, I want to be a Christian, however you word it, however you say it, then hallelujah, the instructions will come out if you would. It's not that it's judgment, but it's how we live, amen, what we're reading here, having our conversation, how our minds should be set, how our heart should be set, how we decide to keep this temple, which is the temple of the living God, clean, how we decide to keep this vessel sanctified, meet for the master's use. When the Bible says to follow peace, uh, and his name is Jesus, for he is our peace, amen. Follow peace uh with all men and holiness. Without such no man shall see the Lord. This is the gospel that needs to be reiterated and repeated and needs to be preached today until somebody, amen, realizes that there's no use uh fighting against religion or fighting against denominations or fighting against false doctrine. We need to fall in line with what the with what the Bible teaches us, with what God has said, and make our way to heaven. Praise God, peacefully, praise God, amen, with those who are around us, having laid aside the weight and the sin which so easily doth beset us, amen, and run with patience the race which is before us, set before us. Praise God. I press toward the mark. Amen. And I'll read the next verse that he no longer should live. I'm gonna slow down. My blood pressure needs to come down to about 10 points. I'm gonna slow down on this one. That he, you and I, remember it's not Jesus. He has ceased from sin. So Jesus never sinned, so there's no ceasing on his part. You and I we're the ceasers. We have ceased. That that he that has ceased from sin, that he no longer, it's almost saying no longer, ceased from sin, get that. That he no longer should live the rest of his time. Where? In the flesh. He's not in the grave. See, when I was raised in church, you stop sinning when you go in the grave. Here's a young guy trying to figure this out. How exactly does that work? But when you read what Peter is giving us, that he no longer should live, I ain't aligned to word live, because we're not dying, we're not in the grave. Someone say amen. That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh. I'm 64 and a half, I'm still living in the flesh. But I'm not living according to the lusts of the flesh. I'm not living according to the lusts of men, but I live to the will of God. I know the word live is not there in our King James Bible, but it's there, that's what it means. That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust of men, but to the will of God. So he shall but live to the will of God. I have a mind to work. When Jesus came and he said, taught us to pray, and he says, Father in heaven, that thy will be done. Doing something gets something done. Amen. A couple of weeks ago I wrote in the description when we set our minds to do something, it usually gets done. It will get done. I'm gonna pray in two minutes. I want you to have this mind, the same mind that we're reading today, to be like-minded, to have one mind, to have the same mind. One accord. Praise God. That he, that you and I no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh, to the lust of the flesh, to the lusts of men. Amen. You know what? I've said I was gonna pray in a couple minutes. I need two minutes, I need to break this down. In this scripture, I know the Bible teaches us the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the and the pride of life. But here, um there's a teaching, and give me two minutes just to elaborate on this, that he no longer should live the rest of his life, the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust of men. See, I've had people come to me and they say, This is how you ought to preach. I'm not preaching according to the understanding, or if lust is too hard of a word, but coveting. You understand? Am I making myself clear? You understand? No, I'll keep going. Take you're off the organ now. Amen. Told my sister, take your shoes off. I may be long. Thank you for filming. It's Trudy's. I don't know if you stack the hours together, what is your sixth hour behind the camera? Like, who's counting? Hallelujah. Um see the carnal men, carnal women, the carnal flesh always has an opinion. And they'll rub shoulders up against you saying, oh, you know, maybe if you don't talk about this. This is not so much a man or a person's opinion, but when I read this saying, it's the lust of the men. Where that spirit, that spirit of lust, that spirit of covetousness, because this is all they all come together as cousins, that spirit is looking for somebody to join with them. Amen. I won't feel so bad if a sister believes like I believe. This way it's not me going to the pastor, it's me and her going to the pastor. That's two. This is to be avoided, especially as the body of Christ. And this is a void, this is avoided when we have the same mind, when we have one mind originating from the same source. Amen. Because you talk to, it doesn't matter who you talk to ten different people, you'll get ten different interpretations if they're not led by the Holy Ghost. You receive ten different understandings. When there is only one interpretation, when there is only one understanding from the Holy Ghost. Amen. So is that any clearer? Is that to be understood? Yeah. The lust of man, this is not lust because I'm lusting after the neighbor's wife or the neighbor's donkey or the neighbor's possessions, it's not the same thing, or coveting, it's not that's not what I'm saying. The lust of men here is to to join. The people of God joined together and they accomplished a great work when we read in Nehemiah. They accomplished a great work because they work together. I brought this into the New Testament and I said, running under the subtitle, A Mind to Work. The same mind. It's only going to work when there's confusions and divisions, the house does not stand. Amen. Divided does not stand. So when we when I'm touching on these scriptures, when we read the same mind and being like-minded in the one mind, this is bringing us together in a unity that that that makes us uh that gives us an overwhelming ability to accomplish what God wants you and I to accomplish together. Someone say together. Amen. And it's not so much, amen. There is a leading of the Holy Ghost, and thank God there is a word that we can go by. Praise God. So I'm going to read this again, I think, with this understanding, trust it wasn't too complicated, but that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men. Amen. It doesn't say to the lusts of his flesh, it says to the lusts of men. It doesn't say to the lusts of a man. Then I might bring that home saying, Well, I guess it's me and my lusts involved, but it says to the lusts of men. You should have this in your church. No? They go to sister and saying, You should play this song. This is a good song. No. You've heard me say it before. The devil writes it, and Christians in the church sing it. It doesn't even align up with the word of God. Amen. That's what we need to be careful with what we sing, with what we talk, how we testify, whose hand we shake. Amen. This is how we and but when you read the last line, the in conclusion, now I'll pray in two minutes. In conclusion, but live to the will of God. Amen. And this and we're reading, if you go into the next epistle, that it's not the will of God that any man shall perish. This is the goal, this is the vision today. I beseech. I don't know how long it's been, but I beseech you again to make your decision today. Today's the time. Now's the time to make your decision with God. Amen. Call upon the name of the Lord to be saved, is what the Bible teaches us. Amen. The Bible says every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess. Amen. That he is Lord. But not every knee bows, and not every tongue confesses that he is Savior. Amen. So you need to make a decision now. Praise God. Amen. So that when you read Ephesians chapter 5, talking about standing before God, Jesus will introduce his bride to his father. Amen. So to be the bride of Christ, well, there's certain certain spiritual obligations or stipulations that need to be followed in such a way that our our um our dependency, let's stand. That'll remind me that my two minutes are up. We need to be known as the profitable servant. Amen. Some scriptures that I read this morning made uh make a difference on um on who we are in Christ. And the eternity, the place, like our sister quoted this morning, there's a place that is made for us by Jesus Christ. There's also a place that was made for the devil and his angels. Amen. So there's a choice to be made. Praise God. And join with us in this ministry. Become that one-minded, that like-minded person in your offerings, in your testifying, in your tithing, in your believing and gathering together and believing with us. Praise God. Make a difference. Hallelujah. But because of the same spirit, because of the same mind that we do have and that we can't have. As we live to the will of God, praise God. That thy will be done. Let's put our hands up. Amen. Praise God. A mind to work. It's not everybody that has this mind, not everybody that has this, amen, this push, and we're getting this push from the scriptures to fulfill what God wants us to fulfill. Let's be thankful. Father in heaven, we're thankful for the reading of the word today. I am thankful for the for your Holy Ghost that did lead us into all truth, into all righteousness. I'm thankful that for those who have been with us for the past couple hours, I guess, receiving what um receiving what you have for us today. For some of us, it's been a double portion Sunday. And for either some of us who are bilingual, it's been a triple portion Sunday. But we're so thankful again to be in the house of God. Lord, I pray that this mind be in, my brothers and sisters listening. In Jesus' name, praise God. They have a singleness, like-minded, same mind as what we are reading today. And together there are great great things that shall be accomplished. In Jesus' name, praise God. Daniel prophesied this, and we're in that era, we're in that time where great things need to be done. Because of the work of the enemy, the work of the devil is on the increase. But Lord, I thank God that greater is He that is in me than He that is in this world. And I give credit and the glory to you, to Jesus Christ, to the Holy Ghost, who's leading us and guiding us, Father in heaven, making a difference. Praise God. Touch every one of my brothers and sisters. Come to their needs, whatever it may be, tonight and tomorrow and this week. Give us a week of victory in Jesus' name. Praise God. That we walk in the blessing, whether we're in school or whether we are on the job, at work, or at home, especially at home, amongst our friends and our neighbors and our family. We can be shown or we can be seen as a difference in full demonstration of who we are in Christ Jesus. Praise God. That work which which you have begun in us. Praise God. We need to see the that work, every step that we take, amen, every decision that we make, we need to see your hand, your work being accomplished in us. Praise God. Hallelujah. As I pray on behalf of my brothers and sisters, use me, amen, unto your glory, unto your honor, use me for the advancement of your kingdom, Lord. I pray these things. Thank you for the word. Thank you for the preaching of the word of God which we received today. I thank God, praise God, that rather to be entangled with evil and with railing, contrary-wise, we are going for the blessing. We inherit the blessing in Jesus' name, Lord. I pray. Amen. And amen. Praise God. Keep your hands up and pray. Praise God as I put forth one last plea. Today is the day you need to make your decision. I don't know when Jesus is coming back. If you heard the teaching this morning, there's a countdown to destruction. And uh we need to avoid that. It's not gonna end well. We need to be where it ends well. And you need the word of God that is in your Bible. I trust this teaching has helped you to lead you away from whatever is whatever the draw that this world has, the draw of religion or the draw of sin, the enticement is a biblical word, being enticed, being uh deceived by it. And um, you can make your way out of all these motions of the flesh or these um desires, the lusts is one of the words we read today. And we can walk before God. We can walk wholly before a holy God. In Jesus' name, Lord, I pray. So make your decision today. It's time. For some of you listening, I don't want to be, I don't want to be uh insulting, but it's about time. Amen. Make it make it your day, make it today. Amen. Give up whatever need, whatever. Some of you are some of you you got one last stronghold. Amen. Praise God. Don't look to the left, don't look to the right, look towards the inside and say, God, be merciful unto me a sinner. Amen. That's gonna make a difference. Just those few words, seven words, very powerful words strung together. Be merciful unto me a sinner. Ask God for forgiveness, and he will forgive. Thank God for his mercy, thank God for his grace, thank God for his forgiveness that is in your life today. Praise God. Hallelujah. And remember, what you think matters. Praise God. Have ye also the mind which was in Christ Jesus. My name is Lincoln. You're listening to That's the Truth. Thank you so much for joining with us. We appreciate you and the time that we have spent together. It has been a blessing. I love you, each and every one of you. Remember what you think matters. Praise God. So let's have that mind to work. Let's get to work. Souls will be saved as we as we accomplish, as we do, the will of God here on this earth as it is in heaven. Amen. Let's give the give the Lord a good hand. Praise God. Clap your hands. Our sister's gonna play us out. Praise God. Until next time, I love you. Praise God. Hallelujah. Be blessed. In Jesus' name. Amen! Well, I trust the word of God has blessed you today. God has given us a generous portion of our daily bread. All the glory be unto God. Someone say, Thank you, Jesus.
