- I was beyond ecstatic to share my AACC moments. My favorite AACC memory is actually graduating and because I was the student board member, I got to sit on stage next to the SGA President, and the board members, and the president of the college. And it was a memory I will never forget, as I looked out over the stage, just really proud of my accomplishments.

- Welcome to Redefine U. I'm Dan Baum. Join us for a special 60th anniversary season where we explore stories told by our AACC colleagues, students, and alumni. We'll collect your stories throughout the year to share in our full season, all at once for a binge-worthy experience.

- I took the metal art class and I learned welding. I did not expect to really enjoy it as much as I did, 'cause I actually, for Mother's Day, I made my mom something in art class. I made like a, umbrella rack thing, and we actually use it and it's in our foyer, so I was quite proud of that.

- When you're struggling with mental health issues, you know, you feel very secluded and it feels hard to put yourself out there, but you know, I'm learning every day to, you know, test myself, push myself a little bit more. So, I just like to do whatever makes me happy and find new things that I can try and, you know, just take it day by day.

- So one day, actually, I got an email from my principal, as well as my counselor at the high school. And they said, I wanna meet with you tomorrow morning at 11 through Google Meet, and I was like, wow, I just got virtually sent to the principal's office. And so I, I get there and they were actually telling me that they wanted to nominate me for the President's Opportunity Scholarship Program here at AACC, and so I was very humbled by that and I was like, hell yeah.

- To get us started, I'll be hosting drop-in interviews over Zoom in the coming weeks. Or, you can record your own story, interview a colleague, friend, or family member. Find out more in our show notes. We can't wait to hear your story as we celebrate 60 years of excellence. Thanks for joining us.
