G.W. Childs IV is one of the founding members of the electro-industrial, synthpop band, Soil and Eclipse. Soil and Eclipse was formed in Hawaii by G.W. Childs and Jay Tye (vocalist) in 1995. In 1997 they released their debut album, Necromancy on COP International Records, followed by Meridian 1999, Archetype 2000, Purity 2002 and The Mirror 2008 all under the COP International record label. In 2018, Soil and Eclipse collaborated with The Razor Skyline on a single called Sea of Change. They also released the singles, Silence, Aurora and The Last Surrender.
G.W. Childs IV continues to write and produce music under GW4. His latest single, Tarrant Country is a new dance genre of music coined RDM (Rodeo Dance Music) and is produced by the legendary record producer, John Fryer, which is soon to be released on COP International.
