Alternative Stories and Fake Realities is the anthology podcast of the spoken-word audio production company Alternative Stories.
Working with poets, novelists and dramatists we tell stories and share the work of writers including radio plays, short fiction, book excerpts and writer interviews. We also explore the things that inspire writers including folklore and mythology as well as sharing content from other podcasts produced by Alternative Stories.

Medusa
Jenna is part of a group of warriors sent to slay the gorgon Medusa. As she grapples with her own terror at encountering the monster she begins to feel empathy for her adversary. But will empathy be enough to save her and her companions? In this episode we look at one of the most famous myths in all of classical mythology. As usual, we try to offer alternative perspectives on the story and offer a female view of the myth. We also include 2 original poems by Chelsie Buckner (@poemsandpeonies on instagram) and another Alternative Stories original read by British actress Jodi Hutton
