Show Notes

Osh aka Osh This Side, born O'shea McDonald is a singer and rapper from Norbury, South London with Jamaican/Cuban roots.  Like many entertainers, Osh came through singing in his church choir and learned to play the piano and the violin. In this episode, Osh details his come up, quitting his graduate training job at Enterprise and his big break coming off the back of a freestyle over Burna Boy's Ye track which became a viral sensation. It doesn't stop there, his preparation and grounded attitude ensured he took control of what will become a career.

Osh talks about losing his dad to COVID-19 and stepping up as the man of the house in his absence to ensure mum and everyone is good. This episode ends with an impromptu but powerful gospel performance from Osh with DJ Skaps on the keyboards. Big shouts to the PEN HSE studio, J Rocs, AV, Gifted, and Skaps for making this episode live up to the billing.

New Episode published on Thursday 8 pm with the spin-off radio show broadcast on Ghana's Y107.9FM Saturdays 4-5 pm GMT providing the soundtrack to the conversations.
