Welcome to Elmhurst CRC's daily dose of the word of God. It's Wednesday? Yeah, it's Wednesday and Sunday's Comin'. July 13. This is Kyle Olson and I'll be reading from Psalm 15 - NIV.

Kyle Olson  0:29

LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.

Kyle Olson  1:17

Let's pray. Lord, thank you for your word. Thank you for the Psalms. It is hard to imagine us keeping all of these things - it is hard to imagine anyone who could actually keep all of these things in check - and be able to dwell in your sacred tent or live on your holy mountain. But yet we know that your grace and mercy allows for so much in this world and that you've given us the Holy Spirit to help us and to see us through. And though we can't really have a blameless walk, you will provide for us, you will give us what we need and you will show us the path so that we may walk with you. Thank you for your son and thank you for your Holy Spirit. In your name, Amen.
