PARKIT was born around the fire. It was founded by people who believe that spending quality time outdoors, with the people we cherish most, will always allow us to experience the best of what life has to offer. This belief is at the core of everything we do. When we set out to build the ultimate outdoor chair we knew we were doing more than innovating a product line. We were building a product that would stand as a symbol, bringing people together from all walks of life, sharing their stories of adventure, and enabling our community to grow.
PARKIT was founded by Steven Wilcox in the fall of 2017 with the goal of building the perfect outdoor chair.
As an avid surfer, snowboarder and all-around adventure hound, Steven's travels took him around the globe. New towns led to new people and he’d often find himself around a bonfire. On one of these many nights, it dawned on him that the products used around the fire could be dramatically improved. Chairs, specifically. They’d fall apart easily, were often uncomfortable and poorly designed with limited functionality. The coolers on some of these chairs were hard to access, lacked space for what you wanted to store and didn't hold up too well either.
In 2018, Steven began to design the ultimate camping chair. With each prototype, he and his team have field tested and refined each design to ensure that the products PARKIT builds live up to the demands of the outdoors.
