Hello, homies, and welcome back to another episode of Easily Entertained with Maddy McClain! I'm your host, your beautiful pop culture Sherpa, here to guide you through the latest in entertainment—from Hollywood news and internet trends to my doom-scrolling discoveries, so you don’t have to.

Where to begin this week? TV has been absolutely crushing it, which is both a blessing and a curse. Mostly a blessing because we love good TV, but also a curse because now there’s just so much to watch. My binging habits have been a little out of control, so I’m trying to exercise more self-control. Let’s just say... it’s soul-crushing. Not really, but the guilt of watching four extra episodes when you know you should’ve stopped earlier? That’s real. And when Netflix tells me, Only two episodes left, that just sounds like a challenge.

That being said, I’ve actually been enjoying watching White Lotus in real-time—one episode per week, just like the good old days of Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives (though, let’s be real, I probably wasn’t the target audience for Desperate Housewives back then, but it’s a classic). No spoilers in this episode, don’t worry! But I will say that the White Lotus depiction of the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan is shockingly accurate. It really does feel like a movie scene—except, in real life, it’s chaos. People drinking out of literal sand buckets filled with liquor, fire dancers everywhere... a great combination, right? I personally did not partake in the fire-dancing madness because, fun fact, third-degree burns are not on my bucket list. But if you ever get the chance, it’s one of those do it just to do it experiences.

Anyway, back to White Lotus—highly recommend it if you haven't started yet! If you’ve been waiting to binge, now’s the time; the finale is almost here. Just be careful with spoilers! I don’t feel like spoiler culture was this intense back in the day, but maybe I’m naive. The worst offender? Mashable, which sent out a major plot twist in a news alert an hour after the episode aired. Not cool.

Speaking of real-life drama being just as entertaining as TV, let’s talk about Kanye West. Or Ye. Whatever you want to call him, he’s doing his absolute best to get himself fully canceled, yet somehow, it still hasn’t happened. I don’t even want to give him attention, but this is a pop culture podcast, so we have to talk about it. His latest stunt? Involving his own daughter in his antics. Insane. At this point, I’m ready for him to be put under conservatorship. We’ll get into that, plus the latest on Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, the never-ending Justin Bieber-Hailey Baldwin-Selena triangle, and, of course, The Bachelor finale.

Kanye’s Latest Meltdown

So, Kanye teased a new song featuring none other than... Kim Kardashian and their daughter, North West. Also on the track? P. Diddy—who, let’s remember, is currently in jail. Kim, understandably, is not happy about this. She’s in the process of trademarking North’s name to prevent Kanye from doing exactly this—exploiting her before she’s even 18. Kanye, being Kanye, decided to leak the song anyway. The cherry on top? Screenshots of his texts with Kim, where he tells her, Amend it, or I’m going to war. You’re going to have to kill me. Just... unhinged.

Then, less than 24 hours later, we find out Kanye was planning to have the Tate brothers (yes, those Tate brothers) over while North was at his house. Thankfully, a bodyguard tipped Kim off, and she got North out of there before they arrived. Who’s next? Harvey Weinstein? I don’t know what Kanye’s goal is here, but it’s not looking good. At this point, a conservatorship is sounding real reasonable.

The Selena-Hailey-Justin Saga (Again)

Just when you thought this decades-old love triangle had finally died, it’s back in the pop culture zeitgeist. Why? Because of a seven-part TikTok deep dive that alleges Hailey Baldwin has been borderline stalking Justin Bieber since she was a teenager.

Before Hailey had access to Justin, she was DMing with Sarah the Stalker—yes, that was her actual online alias—who was infamous for knowing exactly where celebrities would be at all times. The receipts? They are receipting. Old photos show Hailey lurking in the background at events where Justin and Selena were together years before she ever met him. It gets weirder: Hailey has a history of copying Selena, down to outfits, Instagram captions, and even business ventures (Rare Beauty, anyone?). Also, she got the exact same behind-the-ear tattoo Selena has. The internet has thoughts on this.

And now, Selena’s new album—very much a healing era—is adding fuel to the fire. A particular track, Don’t Take It Personally, features lyrics like, We both know that he loves me. Whew.

The Bachelor Finale

Let’s talk The Bachelor finale because what a ride.

Grant had to choose between Latia and Juliana, and honestly? The choice was shocking. All season, I thought he would pick Latia. But when she dropped a bombshell last minute—revealing that she wanted kids ASAP and was Mormon (which had somehow never come up before?)—it shifted everything.

In classic Bachelor fashion, Grant made his decision at the very last second. When Latia stepped out of the limo first (which we all know means she’s getting dumped), the gasps from the live audience were chef’s kiss perfect.

Her breakup reaction? Iconic. She immediately dropped the baby-voice persona and called Grant out: Of course I think differently of you now! She also threw in some subtle digs at Juliana, which... not cool. But Grant did seriously lead her on—she claimed he told her things like, I found my wife on episode two, which is, um, wildly misleading.

Grant and Juliana seem genuinely happy, though, so I hope it works out for them.

Oh, and the big Bachelor Nation announcement? Golden Bachelor in Paradise is happening. Yes, they’re mixing the Golden Bachelor cast with regular contestants, and I have so many questions. Will they be dating each other? Is this just Love Island: Retirement Edition? We’ll see, but my gut tells me it might be... a flop.
