In this season of Radical Imagination. We talk to visionary activists, organizers, artists, educators and leaders across generations who are mobilizing their communities, owning their power and driving transformative change. [Guest: We fight and we continue to fight and we still are fighting to this day to preserve our languages and our culture.] We'll meet people who understand the big problems facing our society and the deep structural roots of inequity and injustice, and who use that knowledge to dream big, create bold solutions and galvanize action. [Guest: An Afrofuturist high school curriculum in science and technology that centers Black innovators and has students imagine how they will create a better future. How do we look at what we're doing now as opposed to what has happened before, so that we can say this is going to allow us all to thrive?] An emerging movement to repair the harms of land and housing, injustices that stretch from colonial days to the present. [Guest: It doesn't matter if it's public housing or it's private housing or whatever it is. People have a connection to the place where they live and work and dream.] We'll talk about reconnecting black people with nature to spark joy, build community and foster healing. [Guest: In a not-so-distant past,, Black people were the owners and operators of lodges and resorts during the darkest times of American life for Black people.] We'll hear from dynamic young activists who were leading the way toward a healthy, sustainable planet and a thriving, radically inclusive, multiracial democracy.
