Interview with ACM Master Nick Lea
Jan 22, 2021
The Change Management Institute

In this first podcast episode of 2021, Naomi Jones-Black interviews senior change practitioners their perspectives and experience in change management and explores case studies, insights and lessons learned.

In this episode, Naomi chats to ACM Master Nick Lea.

Nick Lea has been a change practitioner for over 20 years in consulting firms and as a contractor. He has worked with the public sector. However, his considerable experience is in the private sector, working with Stockland Group, AMP and recently with NAB Wealth/MLC.

Naomi says: "When I spoke to Nick about technology and tools, he told me that you can’t be a change manager unless you have a level of frustration with managing stakeholder data and change reporting."

"I handed him a magic wand and asked if he had access to the world’s most talented software developers with an unlimited budget, what technological solution would he commission?"

The response he gave left me almost lost for words because it would, once and for all, meet the needs of change at the enterprise level. He challenges our listeners to improve on it.

But, he warns, there is a lot that we wouldn’t want to give to machines...
