Main Idea: We live as children of God by loving one another in gospel purity and growing together in gospel unity.

I.Love one another earnestly in gospel purity. (1:22-25)
a. We love earnestly because our souls have been purified for love. (1:22)
b. We love earnestly because our lives have been transformed by the gospel. (1:23-25)
II.Grow together diligently in gospel unity. (2:1-3)
a. We grow diligently by protecting against impurity. (2:1)
b. We grow diligently by longing for gospel truth. (2:2-3)
