Sara Miller:

Welcome to the Me, Myself, and You podcast. My name is Sara, and I'm your host, and you are back for a hopefully new and improved version of this show. I know I've been a little MIA lately, I mean really often on the last year or so. And the past couple of weeks, I've been considering how I wanted to handle this show and the frequency of content and making it sustainable, because I want to show up for you guys. But I also need to be able to have a work life balance between my full time job and being a mom and working on all this. It's a lot, you know, I wear a lot of hats right now. But I still want to be here showing up for you guys. So you're gonna see a little change in format on this show, and just the frequency of episodes and how I'm breaking it all up. Previously, if you've been around for a while, I haven't really worked in seasons for this show, I've just kind of sporadically worked in chunks and taken breaks because it hasn't been sustainable, just trying to push out episodes every week. So I've decided to start publishing episodes in seasons to give myself a little breathing room between episodes and give myself production time in which I'm not actively publishing so I can really focus on curating and creating that content for you guys. So the plan is 10 episode seasons, with about a month in between four weeks to a month, in between each season. So that means just based off the way I've created content, so far, I kind of figured out okay, this is, you know, the first chunk of episodes, this is the second. So we are on season three of the Me, Myself and You podcast, which is really exciting and really crazy to be on season three. I don't know, it's weird to think about breaking it up into seasons, but I'm really excited about it. So we'll have two more seasons after this one in 2021. And I think it comes out to closer to four, or maybe three and a half for 2022. So assuming we're assuming we keep this cadence, which I really plan to, I think this is going to be sustainable for me and for you guys. And just in general, I think it'll be good. So. I'm really excited about that. Now, that doesn't mean I'm not going to be showing up for you guys in between seasons, I will still be active on Instagram, for sure. That's going to be a focus for me as well. Right now for this year. I feel like I've tried to spread myself a little thin focusing on too many different things. So focus is our podcast, Instagram, and I'm actually thinking about diving into TikTok. So both of those platforms, we'll be@sarastrives, you know, from my original blog name, which is still, you know, public and available, I just am not actively blogging anymore. So, there's that. TikTok is not active yet. We'll see how that goes. But I'm thinking about it. So definitely take a peek over there and see if see if I've got anything for you. And let's see now, let's talk topics. In the past, I've always focused a little bit more on the mental health and lifestyle piece...when I'm talking about how I market my podcast when I'm talking about what my podcast is, what my content is. And I think I find just the language around that a little more. And I don't want to throw you guys off because I don't think it's different content. But I think I have a little bit more of a foundation of what I'm doing. And working off of to give you guys a little more consistency and a little more clarity about what you're getting when you come here. So here's the deal. On the Me, Myself, and You podcast and on my various platforms. The topics I really talk about and really dive into the most are self care, self development, and mental health. That's what we're going to continue to focus on. I'm going to probably lean pretty heavily into the self care because I truly believe self care is a big chunk of healing and feeling good and coping with anything like anxiety and depression...those sorts of things. And that kind of brings me to my why. Why am I creating this show? Why am I talking to you guys? Why is it so important for me to show up and be here and be here for you guys. And for me it is helping other women who struggle with anxiety. That's it. It's offering advice and insight that's relevant for somebody who struggles with anxiety like I do, or depression or really any mental health struggles. I want what I share to be attainable, I want to have different, you know, levels of accessibility, you know, when we're talking about self care, having those really basic low level things that when you're at your worst, you're going to have something that I'm sharing that you can try to do. That's a starting point for you. Um, so I want to keep that in mind when I'm sharing things about self development, I think a lot of self development, people on the internet, on YouTube on podcasts, as much as I enjoy listening to them, sometimes they can be a little far fetched in terms of accessibility for someone who mentally might not have enough spoons that day to handle. You know, it's it's not that simple. You know, sometimes depression and anxiety can be extremely limiting. And I don't want you guys to feel that way. I want you to feel like you have steps that you can take that are attainable. So that's my why I just want to be able to help people. Women... that also struggle with mental health, reach their goals and feel good and feel happy and but also know that they're not alone and the experiences they have. So I think that's it for today's episode. I'll be back next Thursday. I don't know if I said that before. Each episode will be on Thursdays for right now. That's that's the plan. So 10 episode season... I'm really excited to dive into this with you. So thank you so much for listening today. And I will talk at you again soon.
