Rev. Dr. Robert Lee

BLESS THIS HOME PT.3 Key Verse: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matthew 5:9, NIV) PeaceMAKERS, not PeaceKEEPERS • Peacekeepers often AVOID conflict to keep the peace • Peacemakers EMBRACE conflict to make peace KEY THOUGHT: • We are not just a CHRISTIAN family • We are a Christ-CENTERED home Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:17-18, 21) WHAT DO PEACEMAKERS DO? 1) Tell the truth in LOVE. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. (Ephesians 4:15, NLT) 2) Apologize when you are WRONG. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. (James 5:16a) 3) FORGIVE and let go. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13) WHAT STEPS DO YOU NEED TO BECOME A STRONGER PEACEMAKER IN YOUR FAMILY?
