Rich Shipe joined us to talk about about Harvest Church Communities, a church using a unique model that seeks to show us what happens when we embrace our true purpose and pursue God instead of worldly desires.
Rich and his wife Christy had the privilege of growing up in families that loved Jesus and have both followed Christ from a young age. Both have lived in Loudoun County, Virginia since their early teens and have raised their five children there. After Rich worked in the world of politics and non-profits, God led him to pursue the pastorate, and he served as the associate pastor at Blue Ridge Bible Church in Purcellville. He received his Master’s in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2016 and completed training in church planting at the Harvest Training Center at Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago. Blue Ridge Bible Church helped him to plant Harvest Church Communities in the spring of 2018. Christy serves as the President of NCFCA, an international forensics league for Christian high school students. Both Rich and Christy enjoy coaching and mentoring youth in the community. Their passion is to see more and more people walking in community with Jesus in such a way that the world will know God. They want to see more and more local neighborhood churches started that are marked by love for God and an uncommon community.
