On this episode of Good News For The City we focused on the Gospel making a difference in the lives of one of the most vulnerable groups in society; children without families. Cynthia Moreland shared with us how DC 127 is working to make sure every child has a safe and supportive family through foster care and adoption.
Cynthia Moreland is the executive director of DC 127. She is an experienced nonprofit professional. As the former executive director of several organizations committed to serving vulnerable populations of children, she has championed programs which provide affordable housing for single parents, inspired adolescent girls to prevent multi-generational cycles of teen pregnancy, and most recently developed programs to assist youth aging-out of foster care to build independent lives using education as the catalyst for change. Her passion is to minimize the negative systemic effects of poverty and isolation from opportunity for God’s most precious gift, our children.
