Celebrating God's Mercies
Show Notes

Mercy according to the dictionary is to show “compassion or forgiveness toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.”

Robert Young’s on the other hand explained Mercy to be as following: “kindness, loving kindness, pity, compassion, beneficent,” etc

The Almighty God has indeed been so merciful to you and I, especially since the beginning of this year. That we are alive despite going through the valley of the shadow of death of 2020 is a miracle of God’s mercies.

If there is anything to be thankful to God for today, it is to appreciate Him for His boundless mercies over us all.

Why Celebrate God’s Mercies?

1.     We have been Preserved by His mercies - Lam. 3:22

What does it mean to be Consumed?

It means the following: eat up, devour, ingest, swallow, gobble up, wolf down, gorge oneself on, feast on, etc.

It also means to destroy, demolish, annihilate, lay waste, wipe out, raze, gut, ravage, ruin, wreck, etc.

Wow! Thank you Lord for your mercies!

2. The mercies of God never fail - Lam. 3:23

God’s mercies is the divine joker.

Where every other thing fails, the mercies of God always succeed.

3. We experienced it every morning - Lam. 3:23.

God’s mercies are new every morning.

We receive a fresh dosage of His mercies every brand new day. Alleluia!

4. We have been Spared sorrow upon sorrow - Phil. 2:25-27.

The mercies of God not only bring us deliverance, it also helps to spare us sorrow upon sorrow.

May you be spared from sorrow the rest of this year in Jesus Name.
