When Jesus calls Himself the Good Shepherd, He’s making a deeply personal claim. He knows His followers by name, guides them with care, and stands between them and danger. Unlike a hired hand who might run when trouble comes, the Good Shepherd remains faithful, sacrificial, and fully committed.

This image reminds us that we’re not wandering alone. There is guidance when we’re lost, protection when we’re vulnerable, and a voice calling us toward truth and life. The Good Shepherd doesn’t just lead the way, He is the way, offering a relationship built on trust, love, and unwavering presence.
