The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute (GEHLI), housed within the Center for Public Policy at VCU's Wilder School, promotes the development of current and emerging leaders in academic institutions; other public, private and nonprofit organizations; and communities. Consistent with the VCU's mission, GEHLI is committed to identifying and nurturing the next generation of leaders through leadership training and public policy research. Upon the 20th anniversary of GEHLI's founding, we sat down with GEHLI Director Dr. Nakeina Douglas-Glenn to reflect on GEHLI's history, and to remember and celebrate the vision of its namesake - Dr. Grace E. Harris.
