What if the only thing more difficult than parenting is being parented? C.S. Lewis once said that if the average parent treated their friends like they treat their kids, they wouldn't have any friends. Stark, but maybe an important reminder that any time we speak of parenting, we'd do well knowing that being parented often isn't any easier.
