Do you walk into the dollar bin section of Target "just to browse" and end up with $25 dollars worth of stuff you never intended to buy? Have you ever gone into an Aldie's, Lidle's or Costco for milk and come out with a yoga mat, area rug, and jumper cables?
If this sounds familiar, listen to this episode for tips to combat this struggle and learn why it's not solely your fault that you impulse shop.

Many people wait until they are in their golden years to think about downsizing. Others end up being forced to downsize unexpectedly due to a health issue or accidents. Most people don't even think about it until they are ready to put their house on the market so they can move to a smaller home with less maintenance.
In this episode, I'll run through a few reasons why waiting could set you up for a lot of angst and strife within your family and why taking care of it sooner rather than later will make the process so much less stressful!

You may not realize WHY you should have a home inventory but when you hear the many reasons why you should in this episode, you won't want to delay doing your very own! Carol Kaufman shares a heartbreaking story of a dear friend whose home was lost in Katrina and how they were unable to recoup money for the contents of their home because they had no proof of what they had owned. That amounted to a devastating financial loss of $300,000 worth of goods.
Carol has made it her mission to prevent that from happening to others. Find out the many other reasons having a home inventory is a must, even if you don't live in a region prone to natural disasters.

I was recently interviewed by Connie Whitman, of Whitman & Associates for her podcast, Enlightenment of Change Radio Show where we discussed getting organized. One of the questions she asked was why it's so hard? This answer then led us to discuss why that makes it even harder for anyone who is trying to downsize or rightsize. Listen to find out what makes organizing and letting go of our stuff so difficult?
