His Kingdom is not of this world

It is the Triumphal Entry—not of an earthly king, but of the King of Glory. The crowds shout “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” They wave palms, symbols of victory, not yet knowing what kind of victory Christ will bring. They expect liberation from Rome—but Christ has come to liberate all humanity from sin, death, and the power of the devil. His throne will be the Cross. His crown, of thorns. His victory was won not by the sword, but by suffering love.
