Taking that Perfect Shot with Photographer Carrie Evans
Carrie Evans is a photographer here in the Valley and Scottsdale-native, specializing in fashion, lifestyle and corporate photography. Her range, charisma and talent have landed her work in a multitude of local and international magazines such as Institute Magazine UK, Phoenix Magazine, Phoenix Home & Garden, Obscurae Magazine, and Veux Magazine in Toronto.
I met Carrie many years ago on a photo shoot for a "Modern Man" article in Luxe Magazine. Carrie has done many shoots of my partner's and I for various magazines over the years and I hired her for a very special shoot of my wife Isabel and I while she was going through chemo a few years back (photo on our website's Podcast Page).
We discuss her journey graduating from U of A to working at a TV and print Ad Agency in Las Vegas, to moving back to Scottsdale to pursue a photography career. She talks about her travels, some memorable shoots and her determination and unwavering belief in herself and her passion.
