Red, Blue, and Brady
20: Sixteen Seconds
It's the Brady Briefing, another time where JJ casts alone on everything from court cases to mass shootings, in this, a weekly wrap up on gun violence and gun violence prevention for the week of November 9th to November 15th.
In this cast we have a lot of ground to cover--from straw sales, to mass shootings, to “2nd Amendment sanctuaries” to DOJ programs to court cases to the shooting at Saugus High school. It’s a lot, and it’s all awful. But remember, we're in this together.
Today in this wrap-up, you'll learn about:
- what straw sales are, and why they're dangerous;
- why doctors are LESS likely to talk about gun safety after mass shootings;
- why a “Second Amendment Sanctuary" prioritizes guns over people;
- why the case against the Bushmaster AR-15 gun by Remington is so important;
- why the U.S. Department of Justice’s announced "Project Guardian" initiative is toothless;
- and finally, what happened at Saugus High School.
So, you know, a lot.
JJ also shares some amazing quotes, an even better tweet, and more conversations about PLCAA.
