Having an understanding of what the optimal tyre pressure is for your kart can really dictate the handling characteristics a driver will face when they are on track. So it's vital either the driver or mechanic knows when to use a lower pressure or higher pressure depending on the compound they are using, the temperature they are racing in and the duration of a race.
