Don't Carry Yesterday's Weight Into Tomorrow

Chris "Fantastic" Powell

Every single one of us carries baggage—the hurt, anger, guilt, missed opportunities, and all the "should haves" that weigh us down as we try to move forward. But what if that weight is precisely what's holding you back from your greatest potential?

Speaker 1:

Life is waiting for you each day and you have to prepare for each challenge along the way towards success. It's not simple, but it can be done. Welcome to my Common Sense Motivation episodes. I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.

Speaker 1:

Don't carry yesterday's weight into tomorrow's promise. You hear me. Don't carry yesterday's weight into tomorrow's promise. That baggage you're dragging around the hurt, the anger, the guilt, the missed opportunities, the should have and I could have, and why didn't I? That's not strength, that's weight, and you were never meant to carry all that into the future you're building.

Speaker 1:

Look, every single one of us has a past, but the powerful ones, they, know how to put it down. You cannot reach for greatness ahead of you if your hands are full of what already fell behind you. You have to make a decision. Do I want to stay in the pain of yesterday or rise to the possibilities of tomorrow? Because you can't have both.

Speaker 1:

The truth is, tomorrow doesn't care about your past. It's offering you a brand new opportunity, a brand new moment, a brand new breath to become who you really are, but only if you show up light, only if you show up free, only if you let go of what no longer serves the you that you want to become. Let me say it again you cannot run into your future dragging change from your past. You cannot build a new life with bricks from your old, broken ones. So today, this moment, decide. What am I putting down? Because I promise you this. There is more waiting for you, but you have to make this space to receive it. You have to walk into tomorrow with empty hands and open arms. That's how you catch the blessings, that's how you grab hold of the promise. Don't carry yesterday's weight into tomorrow's promise. You've come too far. And what's ahead of you? It's worth it. Make it happen. I'm Chris Fantastic Powell. Thank you for listening. For books, ebooks or audiobooks, visit chrisfantasticpowellcom or find them on Amazon.
