I spoke with Ashlee Feb 27, 2020. It was delightful to learn more about her work and her observations of how having life literally 'shatter' has lead her to getting back to herself and get more in alignment with what truly works for her. We discuss the ideal life and how alignment isn't always the easy or pretty road but it is the most gratifying and rewarding and peaceful road in the end. So many wonderful insights shared during our conversation it was truly a blessing to listen to this wise soul.
Bio
Ashlee is a counselling therapist (LCT-C) and an art therapist. Ashlee completed her MA in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University, and her Art Therapy certification from The Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.
She treats a spectrum of mental health concerns, with an aim of helping people understand themselves on a deeper level.
She practices from a trauma-informed and person-centered framework, integrating evidenced-based therapies, Mindfulness techniques and expressive art approaches.
The intention of my practice is to offer people a space where they feel seen and heard. A place where they can feel safe to express themselves, however they may need. I want people to feel empowered to make choices and do the work that will lead them to feeling more assured in their own skin, better equipped to cope with their emotions and experiences, and feel more capable in managing their own mental wellbeing."
