Speaker 2Hi there. Welcome back to another episode of the Jasmine star show. Have you ever wondered what someone else's day looks like? Like what do they do at work? Uh , have you ever wondered what my work day looks like today? I am pulling back the curtain to a day in the life of a seven figure business owner and inviting you to spend an entire work date with me. To be honest, my , my day just looks really normal, but no day ever looks the same. Like no two days are ever the same. But this is my attempt to get real with you. To be honest, I debated if I should publish this podcast. It felt, I think it just felt like narcissistic braggadocious eye roll worthy . But then I realized that I wished someone showed me when it was like to grow up business and have a team and balance a personal life. That's the thing I wish I knew. So when I took the focus off me and turned it to serving you better, I decided just to run straight into the title wave of my life and bring you along . So today I'm inviting you to join me behind the scenes on an average day in my life, complete with realtime recordings of feeding my baby, having team meetings, recording Instagram stories, and a whole lot more. That's right. Friends, you're going to experience it all. So let's get into it. Here's a day in mind and my husband and business partner, JDS life and Luna and family and team. Here we go. Good morning. I definitely have a morning voice. I do this same thing every morning I wake up and I know that having a routine is the foundation of a solid Workday and like personal fulfillment. So I wake up between four 34 45 and I pray, I read, I meditate, I take a hot bath and I have around 30 to 45 minutes of just me time. And they think that it feels a little selfish, but I also know that when they take care of myself first I have more time and energy to take care of others, like my family, our employees, as well as members of social curator and people just out online. So first things first, let's set the foundation today. So I'm on my way to spin class. I really try taking an early morning class because I feel like it just gets my head right. It gets my heart right. I feel like the endorphins are a great thing for entrepreneur and oftentimes when I'm working out, it's like the only time that I feel that my mind is completely clear. Oftentimes I get the best ideas when I'm actually in a workout. So today I do a mix of workouts. Today I am headed to a cycle class. Now, one of the things that I really always like to think about is that one time there was a person who said that my coaching though my style of coaching, how I coach what I said rubbed her the wrong way. She just felt like I was a little too rough, that I had very strong opinions and that I wasn't empathetic to different people's situations. And I kind of had to take a step back because obviously who likes to hear anything in that capacity of your style of teaching or coaching. But then I, I realized that I only coach the way I like to be coached. I have never been the kind of person for somebody to coach me in a way that like, you're okay . He had got this warm and fuzzy. I don't want somebody to use a lot of words to say the same thing that you can say in five words. I don't want somebody to talk about a lot of feelings. I actually want them to get to the point so that I can get a result, and I feel like the kick it at home, Jasmine business owner, when I'm talking one on one with somebody, it's like, that's who I am. Like I'm a big cheerleader. I want the best for people. But when I'm actually trying to get results, I'm actually trying to get it done on a limited amount of time. I'm going to tell you exactly my opinion, and I felt like I had to take a step back and be like, at what is their points in my life? Did I appreciate where somebody just got to the point to get me results? And my first thought, Caitlin Honeycutt at grid cycle out here in orange County, there is a cycle studio and I actually met the CEO , um , at an event and she also, we kind of like networked here in orange County and there is a particular instructor now you either love her or you hate her. Like she Blair's rap music. She curses like a sailor, but my God are you drenched in sweat, you have a phenomenal workout and you get results. Do I think that there are other coaches on the bike who like inspire you and get you pumped up and say pictures the horizon as you run tours you cycled towards sunrise like yeah, those are great and they're amazing. They're just not for me. And I feel like every time I go and I pick out a workout class that I'm going to do each and every single day, I think to myself, I coach the way that I like to be coached. So there's other business owners who people are like, I just don't know if I like the way you do it to that. I say great. Sianora you do you because your style, your work ethic and the way you speak or coach or teach or create or make or or write or paint or take photos like that style is going to be for somebody. It's just a matter of finding who that person is.
Speaker 3[inaudible]
Speaker 2after spin , I was in desperate need of caffeine after being awake for almost three hours. It's currently seven Oh eight and I am in my kitchen to make coffee. I could hear JD and Luna and polo upstairs getting ready for the morning, so I grind my coffee because I'm a diva. I put it in a French press and then we take it as we walk the dog and then we have our morning conversations where we plan out the day and we talk about what we're doing in business.
Speaker 3[inaudible]
Speaker 2you ready? Polo. You ready? Lena ? Every morning we, JD and I walk polo and Luna and this is our opportunity to talk about the day, to talk about what our plans are really important for us to spend time with each other outside of talking about work, but also talking about how our life and work blend together. So these morning walks, like we talk about the layout for the day, we talk about who is going to take the lead for watching polo and Luna and balancing that time together. And then I also tell JD all the tasks that I have to ensure that I have enough time to dedicate to the team communication and ensure that if I can't get everything done in a day that the team knows about it with more time in advance. I know that we did a podcast before it were people, you talk about what you did, but what are a few things that you have to do today? Oh and we are, we are too happy. Enjoy your day.
Speaker 4It's everybody . That's how it is out here. Our neighbors, we all just talk writing Luna around today.
Speaker 2I know. Okay. So plans for the day. What, what's on, what's on the docket?
Speaker 4I got some see personal home stuff. Let's see. I do got to get a morning , got to get some of those primary doctor dialed in and make her her next appointment. Um, let's see for us, we have a builder's walkthrough at the new house that we purchased to see what the new develops in a developments are going to be. And I also have two in regards to work. I have to do a little bit of a payroll final light . I knew if I don't like some blocks documents to get that going, but you have to do, well I should probably mention, I'm not sure.
Speaker 2We announced on the podcast that we bought a house like so maybe people in the podcast are going to discover before I actually put it out on social that we're moving. So there's rat. So as if life wasn't crazy enough , um, we, there was a pocket listing in older neighborhood and so the original owner, the house was built like in 1953 and she didn't want to put it in the market. A friend of a friend told us about it and it was just an irresistible offer and we could not resist. And so we said, well, if our house sells, we listed our house and in 24 hours our house sold. And it was just like all the doors were aligning and we were excited. And then three days later we got the call about Luna. Um, if we had adopted Luna, we would not have moved like that just would not have been in the cards for us. But life and God has different plans. And so we bought a house, sold a house, had a launch, hired new people, and a adopted a baby all within two and a half weeks. So our workdays right now , uh , JD and I had the discussion that it's really important for him to take the lead in the construction projects of the house, accounting, financing , um, and taking care of how we're gonna pay for it all. It's like one of those moments in life where you're like, man, I'm really happy we're on a morning walk. So it's grounding and you're not, we're not getting stressed. That's what I hope
Speaker 5anyway. Yeah, we're trying to make it happen. I mean, I feel like , um , it's, it's so many things. I feel like these are the stages in life that you're supposed to take one at a time and uh , we did them all . I think we're a little crazy. I think that like we just needed to , um, I don't know. Soak it all up, I guess for a second. And then I just actually get to the details today with our walkthroughs. So today we have those actual walkthroughs. They had to come if you, if you were wanting to come, but you're more than, what are you coming, coming to those ?
Speaker 2I have, we have meetings and tests and if they're just walkthroughs , you'll probably, you'll probably do it alone. Okay. Back at home. I started to get ready for the day , but my daughter Luna needed breakfast first. Something I quickly about being a mom of a newborn baby is that I should probably a lot twice as much time to get ready than I used to. But I'm definitely not complaining.
Speaker 3Okay .
Speaker 6Yeah, I'm trying to get dressed, but she keeps saying she's a little upset. Okay, so you'll, I'm going to walk her down or should I just hold her until you finish making coffee?
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 2Uh , she seems to be okay now that she's in my arms. We'll see. But I don't know how I'm going to get ready.
Speaker 3You're okay? No, you're okay.
Speaker 2Can you throw me a bottle and I'll just make it all . Just make it you hungry?
Speaker 6All right . I know . I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No, it's okay. I'll feed you. Yeah ,
Speaker 2right now. Okay. You what? Let's make her a four ounce bottle and then she'll venture asleep during the team meeting. Kate. So just finished eating and changing his diaper and now I'm going to finish getting ready. I showered, got her ready hair wet, going to dry my hair, do my makeup before the first team meeting. Endo. I don't always do my makeup. I hardly ever do my makeup before the first team meeting, but I have five meetings today, so I want to make sure that I look a little presentable.
Speaker 7[inaudible]
Speaker 2okay. So J D made finished making the coffee and I changed the baby and I didn't have enough time to get ready. And that's okay because I'm headed our content creation call, which happens every Monday. And I'll start that. And then immediately after that, we go into a team call. So every morning I sit in at minimum of three hours of meetings. So I'll give you guys a sneak peek of what that looks like right now. Oh, before the meetings? Or is , I should probably mention that I am eating a cup of lentil soup. I know eight 15 in the morning and lentil soup. I had an early workout, so I meal prep the day before by getting lentil soup from whole foods. I came home, I turned on the stove, I'll eat about 68 ounces of it. So a solid, good, warm protein before I go into on meetings. Well , number one, happy Monday. Thank you for being on the team call.
Speaker 6Totally appreciate it . I always just get straight down to business and I know I forget all the niceties. Um, so hello and welcome. Uh, I also was having a conversation , uh, JD and I have our deep conversations when we walk the dog in the morning and we were kind of just really focused on the future of social curator. Um , what does it look like? What does it feel? Because it's very hard for us to work towards something without having a very clear vision of what it is that we're working to. And so I won't get into that right now, but I wanted to take a second and really outline outside of the future. The culture that we create today will be the culture that we move forward with. And I think that as a virtual team, it's really important for us to, number one, really know the culture that we're creating and our dedication is to really build our culture using our core values. And social curators started with core values two and a half years ago. And I feel like the business has completely become a different, a different business. Like what we built in 2017 does not look like what we are building in 2020. And we reserve the right to change our core values based on the trajectory of our vision in our dreams. And so this week the department heads and I are going to be meeting and one of our top things is to redefine what our core values are for social curator because that is going to help build the culture. And the culture for me is the most important thing specifically because we're virtual and there could be a lot of stuff that's like misread between the lines. Um , that's why a lot of us have been hopping on a lot more meetings just to make sure that we're expediting and staying on the same page. But also I was listening to an amazing podcast with Reed Hoffman and he had said that there is so much value in creating nice disagreers kind disagreers and I want us to be a group of Oh , disruptors kind disrupters because disrupters are okay disagreeing with things and openly talking about why they do or do not like a particular idea. I don't want us to feel really precious around our ideas. I don't want us to hold them as like special gems and like I own the idea or I'm doing this. What I want us to do is every time an idea comes up from myself, first and foremost, I want the team to poke as many holes in it as possible. I want the team and I hope that I have displayed that when I have come up with an idea and people are like, Oh, I don't know if I really like that. And I'm like, Whoa, you all come correct. I see it. Let me take a step back. And so I want us to approach ideas in meetings with the ability for us to be kind disruptors . I don't want us to be a bunch of people who say yes, Jasmine. Yes, I don't want us to be a bunch of rule followers or as building systems and social curator that it takes away the creativity and the thing that made us magical to begin with. And so I want to start this Monday meeting by keeping those two words in the forefront of your mind. So that next Monday when we come back after it was , so next Monday we are going to, the department heads will be part a doing a tech meeting with John and Todd in Arizona. And when we come back in two weeks, I really want us to go through and openly talk about our core values, openly talk about what it means to disrupt kindly with ideas and what it means for us to create culture today that will impact the business that we become in the, so I just wanted to start there. I want to express gratitude for the latitude that you guys have given to us as leaders. And I just wanted to say how much we appreciate you all being here and making time for us every single week. So on that note , um , we're going to turn it over to , uh , whoever is available , uh, with our department heads. Okay. So Jade, let's go under . Where do you , um , so I just wanted to remind everyone that next or not next week is the next week . Next Tuesday the 25th. I scheduled a launch brainstorming meeting and I invited , um , some people who are like required to be there to the meeting, but anybody else is welcome to join. So I just wanted to reiterate that if you want to be part of the launch brainstorming session, then just add yourself to the calendar invite or you can Slack me and I will add you to it. Um, and then just a reminder about tasks. If you have a lot of outstanding tasks , um, you know, the , our market in red right now, go through if you can do like a cleanup every Monday, make sure that they're marked complete , um, or communicate if it's something that you are held up on , um, let your project manager know.
Speaker 3Yeah ,
Speaker 6and that's all I have . Thank you . Okay, I'm ready now. Um , um ,
Speaker 2on that same note of meetings , um , there is a verticals brainstorming session this Wednesday. Um, those who are committed to attending have already received the invite. It's on the team calendar. If you want to be a part of that conversation, if you want to contribute or just kind of hear things that are kind of being tossed out there , um , you're more than welcome to join that.
Speaker 6Yeah, thanks. Like go team you guys, just a bunch of brilliant brains over here. Um , which also sparked something else. Um, I wanted to say a special thank you to Felicia for putting in of all the emails that we get from users, Felicia, there was one that you know, sparked something and you put it in , um, the channel for us to review. And I know that every department looked at it from their vantage point, right? So Tammy saw it through creative and Nicki saw it through content and we're all looking at this and as the CEO, I need to look at this and say this is emblematic because this is the one person who's speaking up, who's experiencing what a handful of people are and maybe not to that degree. So I want to say thank you for highlighting something that really stirred something in us and it became a conversation of is social curator a membership or a social curator platform? And God really said, you know we, we are a membership but we have shades of platform capabilities, functionalities or people. Some people perceive it to be that way. And so for people who perceive it to be a platform, they're let down for people who perceive it to be a membership, they're always like, wow, like this is more than any other memberships . So we're at these cross hairs and until we are officially apart form, we must make decisions as we've as if we are a membership. And when it comes to memberships, and Nikki had used an example of StitchFix is that when you're a part of a membership you have very clear steps. One, two, three, four and we social curator, we have in depth videos and we have robust data. But what people really want is how do I use this? And so a very quick bandaid solution to the entire team. So you can kind of hear this is what we saw and based on this email we're going to test something. We're going to test sending people a very simple steps. One, two, three or maybe we're going to , we're not sure. It could be one through five and then what we're going to do is we're going to have two versions, one for product based and one for service-based . We're going to put these in the Facebook group and we're going to see how people respond. And Facebook admin is going to watch these very carefully and then 1224 to 40 hours later, we're going to be putting a post in the group saying if you're having, if you're still having troubles with your categories and topics, the customer success team is going to be hosting a categories and topics Q and a session. So what we want CST to do is to be empowered to service our customers, but that call the value for the customer is getting their questions answered. The value for our team is understanding where are they coming from, how do we understand them, and how do we create resources? For this. So I want the entire team to know that's the vision. So if you see a random PDF and you see these things, like I want to make sure that our vision for this is to alleviate the pressure that new members feel around what is this and how do I use it. And then number two to aggregate data so that we can then amend our PDF, amend our steps one through five or one through 10 whatever it is to make sure that at least from a membership perspective, they feel taken care of and they feel seen. So this is us responding to the best we can in the quickest way possible. But understanding in the future, our goal is to have a very robust detailed way to response to respond to their specific industry or product service based questions. That's the goal. So thank you for that random email that all of a sudden like get made me all emo and introspective as we walked the dog. I think. I think it's the start of something really good. So thank you. Aside from my tasks, from the team as the outward face of my business. Something I always plan into my day is creating content. Sometimes this includes posting on social media, recording podcast, hosting a Facebook live, or creating Instagram stories. So let me just describe my setup right here. I'm trying to record myself post on Instagram and then post on Instagram stories. Now this is my exact process for how I do stories and what I'm going to do is keep my podcast Mike up, but I'm going to be recording to my phone. Now in this particular case, when it comes to Instagram stories, I am going to be doing a series talking about social curator without selling social curator because social curator has closed enrollment and only opens at very specific times. I can talk about my business without having to say, go buy my business, go sign up, do this. And so what I like to do with these stories is really empower people to see about social curator without feeling sold to. In these particular stories, I am going to be showcasing a little bit of behind the scenes of social curator. I'm going to show a marketing action plan. I'm going to be showing a Instagram story templates that we provide. I'm going to be showing a little bit of the group coaching and all of this is going to be done somewhere in between six stories, maybe seven stories on Instagram. So you're going to hear behind the scenes audio warning. It's about to get a little awkward. I always get awkward in the stories. I mean, I try not to, but I mean the struggle is real. I get my, I get my fake voice. Hey Instagram. All right . So , uh, thanks to note is I will record all of my stories on stories, but I won't publish them until all of them are done because sometimes it takes me a little bit of time to get them all going. And there's nothing worse than watching Instagram stories with these big gaps in between while you're actually producing. So , uh, right now at uh, at the 35 Mark, I'm gonna make a note and when we end so that I can show in real time how long it takes me to promote to produce a story set about my business. These ones always take a little bit longer than just like my random off the cuff stories. I, it's the 36 Mark. So here we go. I'm going to add a little bit of a filter.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 6All right . I'm going to get the , the cover sheet of social character , show it, and then I will go into the second story set friends. Right here. What you're looking at is the behind the scenes. I'm going to show you the layout of this month's marketing plan. We're talking about three pillars of content. So you always know what to say. You could sell your business without selling your businesses. Sounding cheesy. And number three, get the confidence you want to show up daily. I'm going to save it. And now I'm going to go into the next story where I showcase an overview of the content that I have laid out on the floor. So this [inaudible] well if
Speaker 2we're talking about increasing discoverability on social media, and here we are talking about laying it out for the three ways of getting discovered on your account. And one thing that people need to do this month to be effective. Okay. That was the second story. And so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to record a behind. I'm going to record my laptop and show people , uh , this month issues with the templates. So hang on one second. I'm going to go to my dashboard. I'm going to bring up this month issue, it's called increasing discoverability. And now what I'm going to do is I'm going to get my phone and I'm going to show people from Instagram stories the backend, AKA the dashboard of social curator , uh , to give them a little sneak peek of what's in store.
Speaker 6Now what I will do is I will, I'm stories scroll all the way to the right there you have the hands free option. I will select the hands free auction and that way I can just hold on to it
Speaker 2and uh, talk through it. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 6So this is a behind the scenes. Oh shoot. So this is behind the scenes of social curator. You get Instagram story templates to empower you to show up, to talk about your business without selling it. And you also have caption templates and customize photos that you could use as you grow your business. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to click on one, give you an option and here you see the backend so that you get two versions of the photos and you're also getting a customized template that you just copy and paste. And if you want to take your own photos, there's your photo ideas. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to save each of these stories ended up being two story sets and now what I'm going to do is just walk people through. I'm going to share a couple testimonials about my business. So because I'm not selling my business, just talking about it from other people's perspective has been a game changer. So we collect, collect testimonials. I'm on the inside of social curator and I will just insert those into my stories as a photo. So that has always been , um, a good thing for us. Like, so for instance, I'm going to pull anywhere from like two or three and like a Mavis said that she gained a thousand followers using social curator and we have another testimonial that her business account had grown a thousand percent. That's incredible. So these are the things that I want to talk about and make sure that people know them without feeling like, Oh, I'm asking them to buy. So
Speaker 2now what I'm going to do is go over to this. I'm going to go over to Facebook and give people a sneak peek inside of the private Facebook group, which is where I do my group coaching
Speaker 3[inaudible] .
Speaker 6But in addition to the group coaching, there's so many different classes and there's so many productivity hours and we have guest contributors. There is a lot going on until I always just want to make sure that we highlight a lot of those calls. Okay, great. Oh actually this is a good example. All right , here we go. Okay, so what you're looking at right now is a list of events on the inside of the group. Every month we have a momentum booster, which makes her that you are have accountability to do engaging content with others to help boost your account. Here we also have three C calls where people get coached. We have one , uh, we have three actually every single month. And we also do group coaching here. You will be able to see the types of questions that I do. I bring people on camera with me to do the coaching and we make sure that people get their questions answered to show up every day . Great. So that ended up being two stories. So what I have right now is five stories and I will also add that two testimonials to one slide . So that's going to bring us up to five or six stories. So that's it.
Speaker 8[inaudible]
Speaker 2so I just spent the last hour outlining a keynote presentation that I'm giving it social media marketing world. I did that for about 45 minutes. Now I am grabbing a snack. It's a protein bar with one grandma's sugar, some protein. That's what I'll eat before we pack the baby's bag to get the hit the road. I'll be dropping her off at my mom's house on the way to Burbank today and that sort of thing . Okay, so last minute changed . JD decided to Dave the dog before we left. So the dog Walker didn't have to smell smelly dog. Uh , I'm washing out bottles and I just need a green smoothie so that I'm not hungry on the car ride over and we are headed out in 11 minutes and with that we hit it out the door with Luna before our business meeting and got in the car and drove to my mom's house. This was the first time anyone had ever babies that Luna
Speaker 9hello? Hello? You opened the door? I tried to keep it real cold . Hey Gary , I know Madam president has a ride . Hi , are you, are you ignoring me and going right to conveyed ? Yes. Okay. But she's going to be waking up or you want me to wake her up? We're going to make her bottle for food. Okay . She's gonna go to sleep. She'll show up at six 30 tomorrow. Six 30. She'll wake up and get her food, but she's not going to want to stay up. I'll keep
Speaker 2her up. I'll try to keep her up. So we're going to make her a bottle right now. Mom. And then um, chewy . Everybody, half of the church is asking for Luna. Of course people at church are just obsessed with her. Honestly. That's all it. Do you want to pull her out mom? Okay . Do you want to pull her out? Is it okay? She doesn't, what is this? We just have that pin there so that we don't lose her. Pasadena . Okay. Mommy mere my mind. I need a little blanket. Yes. Here's a blanket. Okay. Come on. Do you want to come here and the the bottle. The bottle machine. So do you want to come help mom real quick?
Speaker 5Super. Super. So for each , like there's only one button.
Speaker 2A machine. Is it? It's fancy. If he bought her, her very first espresso machine, this is a baby espresso machine. It makes a bottle.
Speaker 5Really all you have to do is hit this button. Start and you put a bottle down here and that's [inaudible]
Speaker 2and it comes out heated and it comes out mixed. Oh, hi. Sleepy. You look like Elmer. Fudd you look like Elmer. Fudd
Speaker 5this is a little contraption. This takes out all the air bubbles. Right ? So what do you do is here is you just put here and then you just press
Speaker 3[inaudible] .
Speaker 5I know Billy, back in my day when I made bottles, we just got this yesterday bill. So for the last four weeks we've had to run hot water over the faucet. It's just taken us forever. So this thing, it's already warm and it's done when you just eat, she's ready to eat. So there's another fresh bar . There's another clean bottle in the bag. There's one bottle of [inaudible] in here that has formula in it. This one is for the road in case we have an emergency.
Speaker 2Okay. Look at her. She's still knocked out. Do you think
Speaker 5you're going to want to wake her up? I know you will. And if you do, that's fine. Uh, she will, she yesterday, she had a hard time so she , she stays up Millie from like seven to 10. She's okay. She's a
Speaker 2party animal. You've got a party with me. [inaudible] grandma , are you going to read the Bible? We're going to read stories. We're going to talk about Jews. We're going to take , okay, so she can't go outside. No way. Okay. Okay . I love you so much, mom. Thank you for doing this. This is the first time I'm leaving her. I feel like I'm homesick. I feel like I'm going to be a lot more comfortable and I'll sit right in front of her. Okay . Oh mom , I love you so much. I'm already homesick for her. I know, I know. Marty's will you send me thinking a lot about, can you send me like a hundred a hundred
Speaker 6photos? I think . Clip it off, said Vogel. I love you. Cold bubble . I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you Zoe. Have a good day at work. I love you. Okay, so this is, I know, I know, I know. So this is the first time that I've experienced having to leave a baby. This is the first time that I'd have to negotiate what it means to be a business woman and a mom. So this is great that we have family nearby. We have about two and a half hours to drive to where we need to go. And , and actually if there was no traffic, we could probably get there in like 40 minutes, 35. Well, actually like 40 minutes, 45 minutes, but it'll take us like about two and a half hours I think. Um, as far as what it looks like right now, I now have two and a half hours to work, but J D and I, this is the first time that we've been alone since we've had the baby. So what I'm going to do is have a conversation with JD about an upcoming trip that we have for our department heads or because we're a virtual team, we're flying myself and JD to Arizona and the other department heads, Gato , Jade and Nikki are going to be meeting us there. And we are in the discussions of what we're going to do. Should we take the baby, should we leave her with my mom, because she's been a little bit under the weather. We don't have her birth certificate, so we're not sure if we can fly with her. So then if we couldn't fly, we would have to drive. Is it a smart idea to do a road trip for six hours with a sick baby? All of the things that we're gonna talk about. And after that I'll probably put in a good hour and a half of work to make sure that I finish up the task that I have for today. And I will also on this car ride over plan my social media posts for tomorrow. Every Sunday I plan what I'm going to post for the week and I know the posts, but I don't write them or have to post them immediately. So tomorrow I know that I'm going to be posting an IgE TV, so I want to make sure that I have the copy good and ready to go because mornings are usually my responsibility with the baby. And I don't want to get too far off schedule.
Speaker 9It's 10:00 PM and I'm driving home. JD is driving home and I'm sitting in the backseat of the car with the baby. And tonight's meeting was really incredible. I think my biggest takeaway is that your net worth is your network. And I know I'm not the first person to say that somebody really famous and smart said it before me, but I don't remember at this point in time. But it was so incredible to take time to meet other tech startup founders. Tonight we met with Becca and Jake, they're the founders of Deb Sato , a systems based business for invoicing and create a workflow and stigmatizing the backend of your business. And it was so incredible just to have a great conversation with other people who are growing a digital business in the tech sphere and really bootstrapping their costs without getting funding. And it was awesome to throw ideas back and forth, have them poke ID, have them poke holes in our ideas and then we were able to do the same. And it was really incredible because at the end of the night we started thinking and dreaming of ways that we could work on projects together and that was an unexpected perk. Definitely worth the time. Um, and even though I am a little bit tired, we'll get home to the baby in bed and tomorrow we have a full day of meetings, more podcasts, recording, writing a few projects or social curator and going live. That's so easy.
