Jasmine Star 00:00:00 When you hear the words digital offer, what comes to mind? I can tell you that when I first heard those words, I felt a mix of hope and a little bit of confusion. The question I asked was, what's a digital offer? What could I create that somebody would want to buy? And the more I thought about things, the more hopeful I became. I thought about the questions that people asked me. I thought about things I was good at. I began asking myself, what would I enjoy creating? And what is resulted is that in the last nine years, I've sold close to $30 million in digital offers and programs. I can't begin to describe how this is radically changed my life, and for years I've been teaching how a digital offer could do the same for other people. Today, I'm excited to share one of the top five most downloaded episodes from The Jasmine Star Show. This year I taught a live class and the outpouring of support truly blew my mind. Still, to this day, I get messages from people who are inspired to start, simply serve people well and build a business that changes their lives.
Jasmine Star 00:00:55 I can't wait to share this training and the Q&A session right after with you. We're going to do that today. Let's dive in. And I am going to have a conversation around creating a simple digital offer in 30 minutes. So why am I sharing this with you? Well, in 2007 I was a self-taught photographer who had a blog. This meant I said I wanted to be a photographer and I didn't have a camera. And so because I didn't have a camera, I didn't have a website, and I wasn't actually sure that I could build a business. So I started a free blog and I started sharing the information of what I was doing, how I was becoming a photographer, but how I was building a business around being a photographer. And I had mentioned that I was booking clients via email. People would find my blog and then they would book me for my services via email. And so around 2008, people started asking me, hey, how are you booking clients via email? And so I'd write a blog post and explain it.
Jasmine Star 00:01:55 And then they started saying, yes, but what are the words you're using? Like, how can I book clients on email? The way that you are. And I started asking myself, wait a minute, people just really want to know the exact emails that I'm sending. So then one day I sat down in a Google doc and I copied and pasted all of my email templates. These are emails that I was sending to people who were interested in my work, and I copied and paste them, and I put them in a Google doc. And then I saved that Google Doc as a PDF. There was nothing fancy about this whatsoever, and I sold them for $19.99. That PDF made me $100,000 in a year and it changed my life. I had not gone viral. I did not have social media. I did not have hundreds of thousands of followers. I just created something that somebody found very valuable. I created something that somebody really wanted, and they found it. They wanted to know, how do I book clients? And I created something that of knowledge that was already inside me and I shared it.
Jasmine Star 00:03:04 Now I want to pause here, and I want to ask you, what are people asking you about? What is inside of you that people are like, wow, what you're doing is really cool, amazing, interesting, valuable. Because I want you to experience this same thing. I want you to be able to wake up and see that a couple people bought your digital offer overnight. I will tell you, there are very few things as sweet as waking up and saying, oh well, I just got paid as I slept. So in today's workshop, I'm going to show you the step by step way of how to do this. Now we're going to walk through how to create and sell a PDF. Now, if you're just getting started, this is going to be the easiest digital offer to create. But the same process works for a digital membership a digital Little coarse group coaching, one on one coaching. The same process works the same. But I'm going to use a PDF as an example because once you create a PDF the same way that you create a membership or a course, the possibilities are endless.
Jasmine Star 00:04:07 Because what I have discovered, the process of going through and creating digital offers is that more doors open. Once people get to know you and understand the value you provide. So this is a five step framework to create your digital offer. Let's dive in. Step number one of five is to list your top skills and interests. So if you're sitting here I want to give you a couple questions to get started. Questions to help you get going. What do people say you're good at? Do people say that you're really good at speaking and organizing, at teaching budget travel, counting macros? People are like, man, you count macros and you just make it look so easy. Organic gardening, sleep training babies, making paper flowers. Why do people look? And say, hey, you're really good at that. Question number two, to help your brain get moving, to see possibilities is what do. People ask you advice for. Now, here's the thing. People ask for your advice, but your brain not.
Jasmine Star 00:05:07 May not be used to seeing it. So that's why I want to invite you to say, what is my brain actually seeing right now? What do people ask you advice for? Maybe they're always asking you advice around your relationship. Maybe people ask about losing weight, training for a marathon, organizing their closet, creating a budget. What are people asking your advice for? Now? The third question to help your brain start seeing things that you could create is what do you enjoy right? History? Sewing, watching movies, being with your kids, rock climbing, home renovation projects, CrossFit. Ask yourself, what do you enjoy? What are you good at? What do people ask advice for and what do you enjoy? Right. What we're doing is we're training our brain to think differently about what is already inside of us. Can I get an amen? Okay. Amen. I want you to take a moment, and I want you to brain dump anything that comes to mind. Because in this workshop, I just want you taking action.
Jasmine Star 00:06:12 I don't want you saying, oh, that's a dumb idea, or that won't work, or that's too silly or too many people do that. No, no, no. In this workshop, anything is possible. And when you believe that anything is possible, everything becomes possible. So for the next 25 minutes, 24 minutes, I want us to say, let's just function in a world that anything is possible. I want to bring up what's coming to mind. So I'm going to go through a few examples. Right. Let's get your brain saying, let's think something different. Are you good at event planning? Are you good at SEO? Do people often compliment your leadership skills? Maybe people say, hey, how do you fit it all in your day? You seem to have more hours in your day. Maybe that's meaning that you're really good at time management. These are skills that you likely have now. Maybe some of your interests, things that you like doing. Because wouldn't it be really cool for people to say, wow, you're really good at this and you happen to like it? So for me, I had a skill.
Jasmine Star 00:07:12 I was a photographer, but I was also booking clients online. That was a skill, and I was very interested in helping people do the same thing. And I was very interested in photography. But what about you? Are you into running mental health photography? Travel now as you're brain dumping, I'm going to give you a little bit of time by narrating your story, because I want to introduce you to my childhood best friend. Her name is Brianna. Now, we met each other when we were 13 years old, and we still remain best friends to this day. So we have seen each other go through highs and lows and career changes. So it was around this time that my best friend was living at the Olympic Training Center in Encinitas, California. She was training to be a part of the Olympic track team. Now she went to the Olympic finals. She jumped her PR, which means that she jumped the best she had ever jumped. And she missed the Olympic team by one person. And so she had trained her whole life for this.
Jasmine Star 00:08:12 And so she was like, okay. So she went and she got a job and she created a career selling medical devices, and she was with a medical device company. And she was really good. Right? So she grew really fast in the organization because people kept on saying, wow, you know, you're so good at organizing. You're so good at talking to the doctors. You're so good at hosting these events. And so she had come to me, and so she had seen me transition to become a photographer without a camera. I started selling digital products and she came to me and she had asked probably the same question you're asking, right? Like, hey, Jasmine, How are you making money off your knowledge? And I walked her through the same exercise that I walked you through. And she had decided that her skills, what people said she was really good at was organization details and planning. And she also had interests. What did she like to do? She loved to travel. She loved going on adventures and creating adventures, and she really loved experiences.
Jasmine Star 00:09:08 Now you might be hearing this and you might be finding a lot of similarities, like, okay, hey, like, I have a career and I'm good at it, but there's this other calling could I make money online based on my skills and my interest? Cool. Now let's move to step two of five. Look at your skills and your interests. What could you share or what could you explain that other people would find valuable? So let's go through a few examples. Example one. Let's say your skills is packing, organizing, reading maps, being efficient and let's say your interests. Maybe you love Disney movies. Maybe you love family trips. Maybe you love cooking. So then you could ask yourself, what could I create? Well, a few ideas if we're saying that anything is possible. The ultimate family packing checklist. The Disney Park day planner. Meal prep for family vacations. Disney themed movie night planner. Now, I don't want you to say, oh, well, everybody's been doing this, right.
Jasmine Star 00:10:08 No, no, no. Right now we're teaching the brain to believe in possibility, because you're going to find a way to put your own source, your own insights into this. Let's get into another example. Let's say your skills are photography, graphic design and event planning in your interests. Running movies. You love yoga. Fashion is a thing for you. So you're going to ask yourself, what could I create based on my skills and interest that somebody else would find valuable? A running gear guide. The best shoes and outfits for every season. Instagram templates for runners and fitness enthusiasts. Maybe you can create a capsule wardrobe planner to build a stylish and functional closet. Maybe you can create the best movie night ever. A party planning checklist. What are things that you believe people would find valuable? Let's get into another example, because examples expand the brain to look at possibilities where they didn't exist before. Let's say your skills are finance, copywriting, meditation, stress relief, coaching, divorced moms, maybe your interests or sports budgeting, CrossFit.
Jasmine Star 00:11:19 Maybe your interests. Are you love a good pair of shoes? Okay, so what are some things that you could create a stress free budgeting guide for divorced moms. The shoe lover's budget. How to afford the shoes you want without breaking the bank. A self-care checklist for divorced moms. UPS. Quick copywriting templates for selling anything online. Now, I want you to take another moment, and I want you to brain dump anything that comes to mind. It doesn't have to be perfect, and it doesn't have to be amazing. We just have to start doing. We have to open up the pathways to see what might be possible. Now, when Brianna saw me sell digital resources and create an additional stream of revenue, she asked herself, could I do the same thing? And so she created digital resources and was selling digital resources at the very beginning of places that she had visited. Like the online guide for roam, the all in guide for Santorini. Now, when she was training for the Olympics, she was traveling the world and she would create itineraries for adventure and experience for her when she was in those countries.
Jasmine Star 00:12:30 So she had insights that were very unique to her and she shared them. For other people who say, hey, I want an adventure and I want to experience how you did. She found something that was valuable and sold it based on information and knowledge she already had. Now what happened was people started buying her itineraries and they said, hey, I'm going to go to Rome, and I like this, but I'm also going to go to Paris. Can you create an additional itinerary for me for that? And people started saying, hey, could you create an itinerary now you don't have any digital resources for Vietnam, but could you create a trip for me? And all of a sudden, she decided to say the digital resources became a testing ground and a pathway for her to begin a career. Did she need a new career? Absolutely not. She had a career with selling medical devices and that she was very good at and had a wonderful life. But she had said, I think I want to create my own adventure and my own life experience.
Jasmine Star 00:13:31 So she created a travel concierge business, and now she has other agents who work in her business. Digital resources provided a pathway for her to change her life and career. Does she need to? Not at all. But she chose to. And that's what a digital resource allowed for her. So now let's get into step number three. And that's to choose your idea. Now here's where a lot of people get stuck. I have walked hundreds of people through this exact process. Now real talk. You cannot choose wrong. What happens is your brain will say, oh, well, that's not going to work. You've started things before and you didn't finish. Are you sure that you have enough money for this? Are you sure you're going to dedicate time? Like you can't choose wrong. You just choose. And then you learn, and then you choose and then you learn. But if you are stuck in indecision, I want you to ask yourself, hey, of all the things I could create. What excites me the most? What feels the easiest and the lightest? Because what happens is your brain is a muscle.
Jasmine Star 00:14:34 If you go into the gym and you lift £5 five times, you just told your body what you're capable of. Now what the goal would be to eventually move from £5 to £10 to £15 to £30. Right. That's the goal of building muscle. Your brain is a muscle. What we want to do is start small and then prove to our brain that that muscle can grow and start thinking about things in new ways. Now, step number four, I want you to open a Google or a word doc, and I want you to write. Yes, this is where in 30 minutes you get to going. Because if it's a checklist, if it's a guide, if it's templates, if it's top tips, if it's the start of a very simple course, just write it. There is no perfection required. In fact, when I first sent out, I sold my PDFs. People would email me and say, hey, you have a typo here, and I'd be like, oh, I do have a typo.
Jasmine Star 00:15:35 Let me go and fix it. People aren't paying you for perfection. They're paying you for the value you're providing for them. Now, once you have it written, you can save as a PDF and you're done. If that is what I did, that is what is still for sale today. Yes, I am still making money from those PDFs that I created back in 2009 and 2010, and I created other digital resources for photographers that I'm still getting paid for. And that's exactly what I did. Now, if you decide that you want to make it a little fancier, you can design your PDF using a template from Canva. If you're not familiar with what Canva is, Canva is a free graphic design platform. Now what you're looking at are sample Canva templates. These are free. You can change the font. You can change the colors. You can change the photos. You can make it your own which is what we highly suggest you do now. To use the Canva templates, you can create a free Canva account at Canva.
Jasmine Star 00:16:35 Com you can search for the template that you want, like for example a budgeting template. You could select the template you like best. You can add your text. You can add any images, but if you don't have images, there's a free gallery in Canva and you can save it as a PDF. Step five upload your PDF and accept payment. If you've been following along, we're on step five of five and you're probably thinking to yourself, I think I can do this. And the answer is you can. And there are two options to create and receive payment for your knowledge that somebody finds valuable. Option one you're going to upload your PDF to a Google Drive. You're going to choose a price. Now you can choose any price you want. You can charge $999. It doesn't matter. But when you're first starting, I highly suggest learning and I suggest between 7.99 and 1999. This helps us guide people buying it and giving us feedback. Then you're going to share a link to Venmo or PayPal with somebody who wants to buy it.
Jasmine Star 00:17:34 And then when somebody pays you, you can manually email them the PDF. You can absolutely do that. Option two you can create a free account on kit. Com. You could upload your PDF and you could choose a price. And then they will give you a URL. You could share that URL. You could put it on your blog, in a newsletter, on social media, maybe on your exit profile on social media. And it will include a place somebody can enter in their credit card. They go to that URL they put in their credit card, and then when somebody purchase it, kit will automatically email them your PDF. Then you're done. In less than 30 minutes I walked you through ideation. I walked you through segmentation. What should I start with? I walked you through the process of it. I told you just to get it done. And so then we test and you can't choose wrong. You just need to get it done. And when you're done, you are done. Yes and amen.
Jasmine Star 00:18:34 Now at this point in the conversation, you're probably like, okay, but how do I find people to buy my digital offer? And to that I say, that's a great question, but this is where the gangsters dwell. This is where the difference between people who create a digital offer and people who make money from a digital offer, there is a difference. And so if you're telling yourself, oh, so many people have digital offers, how could I ever stick out? I will say you will stick out when you actually know how to sell your digital offer. So I want to go back to Brianna's story because, remember, she created a travel concierge agency with agents and she had said, Jasmine, I want to extend my services into a digital offer. How might I be able to do this? So she met up with a co-founder, and what they created was a membership for travel agents, for travel professionals. So she started with her digital resources. She created her own agency. She has agents underneath her and now as a digital offer that brings in revenue.
Jasmine Star 00:19:43 She now has a membership. Now she came to me and she said, Jasmine, I have this membership and I want to grow it. And I said, great, amazing. How many people do you want to launch? How many people do you want to get into this membership? And she said, this many people. And I said, awesome, double it, double that number. And she's like, no way. There's no way that I can do it. I said, double that number. Follow everything that I teach on the inside of your biggest launch ever. Follow the program and you will hit that number. And she's like, I'm not gonna hit that number. I said, if you say you're not going to hit that number, you're right. And if you say you're going to hit that number, you're right. What do you want to fight for? If you want to fight for your limitations, go right ahead. You can keep them if you want to fight for your possibilities.
Jasmine Star 00:20:30 Go right ahead. Let's go. So she followed the exact system that I teach, and she said, thank you for helping me dream bigger. I said, you did it. I am so proud of you. You doubled your goal. And then she had said it all happened the way that you said it would. You showed up like gangbusters. And I get to say that it worked. Now, when we talk about a digital resource into a career change, into expanding her offers for her business and her revenue streams, she said, I get to say to my childhood best friend, she sent the nicest, kindest words. We doubled our recent lunch and there was no way we could have accomplished these results on our own. Now I understand that this could feel overwhelming, right? This idea of like, oh my gosh, are you serious? I can make money from a digital offer. That seems so simple, but I've made it very straightforward. Now we close registration for a live course experience tomorrow.
Jasmine Star 00:21:32 That is the reason I am coming on here to invite you to say there is a way to sell, and it is a live course experience that gives you everything you need to sell your digital offer with ease and confidence. You can find all the information at. Biggest launch ever. We're going to get into Q&A right about now so we can workshop your ideas. Now here's the thing. You're going to start in the offer lab. What we just gave you right here was a sneak peek. This training, the offer lab is $497, but it's included because we want you having an offer that people are like, yes, this is exactly what it is I want and this is what I want to buy. So there are students who joined us already. They're already going through the offer lab, and they said, it's absolutely brilliant. The lab alone is epic. I'm fired about the whole thing. I've gone from overwhelm to a roadmap that I know is going to yield success and the support in the community from myself, the team and Katie.
Jasmine Star 00:22:27 People are like, I can't believe I'm getting this type of feedback on my digital offer. So the offer Creation lab is easy. In 2 or 3 hours of your time, you're going to identify and outline your offer. And then we're going to begin our live course experience on February 11th. I'm going to be teaching with you. I'm going to be showing up twice a week. I'm going to be saying, I am coaching you to make money and change your life with a digital offer, because we give you a step by step plan. And if you want more information, we're going to get to that in Q&A. But the Offer Lab is included with Weebly eight weeks of live classes templates. So there's no guesswork. Accountability for support a private community. You get a roadmap to show you exactly how much time you're going to need for this, and bonuses to help you uplevel that offer. Now, everything we're included for Whibley. We start on February 11th is $85,000. And you get all of this starting today for 1999.
Jasmine Star 00:23:24 But the good news is that you can get started with a payment plan for $475. We can get started today at building out a digital offer. Now, we do have a 14 day money back guarantee. If you come into the offer lab and you're getting support and you're like, oh my gosh, I think I can do this, I'm not sure this is me. Come in, test the waters, find out the support, and figure out that this program is going to be for you. You can get all the information at biggest lunch ever. Now our door is closed tomorrow at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard. Now, if you would like to book a call with alumni biggest launch ever forward slash call, they will walk you through. They don't get paid if you join or not, but they want to share their experience. All right, friends, let's start getting into your questions. I couldn't be more happy to start workshopping and having some fun here. Okay, so questions that are coming in. Stephanie, I have zero social media followers.
Jasmine Star 00:24:17 I know I could create a PDF with the meal plan that's worked for me as a vegan distance runner. Ooh very niche. Already you're off to a great start when there is not a lot of information around somebody who is doing the thing that somebody else wants to do. There are vegans and there are vegan distance runners, and they want to know how to do it safely and successfully. You have information that somebody else wants, but can I really sell it when I don't have a following? And obviously I don't have an email list? When I created my first digital offer, I didn't even have social media. I sound like I'm very old. Social media wasn't even around at that time. And so my question then becomes, are you willing to create your social accounts and make them public? If not, you can create a separate account on LinkedIn, on Facebook, on Instagram. And all I need you to do is share what you're doing, and people are naturally going to say, wait a minute, there's a vegan distance runner and she's talking about her form.
Jasmine Star 00:25:18 Oh, that's really cool. People are going to start sending you DMs, people to start leaving comments. And then once we get them into the sales flywheel, they're going to be like, wow, I can't believe that Stephanie has a PDF for 9.99 with tips, or a meal plan, a 14 day meal plan. And here's the best thing, Stephanie, is that when you create a 14 day meal plan for a vegan distance runner and you've sold a few and people are like, dang, Stephanie, this is incredible, you can create another one. And people who bought the first one are more inclined to buy the second one, because if somebody's bought from you before, they're seven times more likely to buy from you again. And that's the beauty of digital offers. I created a set of email templates and guess what? They were so good that people were like, yeah, but what do you say for an email like this? And what's the funnel for this? And so I created another set of email templates for 1999.
Jasmine Star 00:26:11 99. I started creating video downloads as me as a photographer coaching my clients, and I sold those for $2.99. The thing I have digital offers is that one leads to the other and leads to the other, and leads to the other, and that the key is here. Get started. Get feedback. Even tiny bits of feedback and you can continue to add. So then the more relationships you're making with people and the more questions you have now, you get to point them to your offers. And there's not just one, but there's three three ways for you to make money. Okay, Carrie, what if the thing you're asked about the most is not in line where you currently are in life and business? For example, I've spent 13 years of my career as a social media director for big organizations. So I get asked about that stuff all the time. But I'm currently focusing on building a genre of my photography studio. If anything, I'd be most interested in doing a guide for photographers wanting to add undercover proposal sessions to their repertoire of services.
Jasmine Star 00:27:08 Is something I'm really, really good at. I book a lot, I make good money and I can teach it with my eyes closed, but no one is actively asking me for questions about that per se. Okay, Carrie, I love this so people will not ask questions around things they don't know or understand or see. So if anybody here like Carrie want to sell a digital offer and they don't know, and people aren't asking them questions per se, but you know that people would if they knew about it, if they saw it, or if they thought it was an option. So I love this. And I have to say, Cory is like my life. And being a photographer, you know, I was a photographer for 17 years before I decided to apply my photography skills in a different area, so I stopped taking clients after 17 years as a professional photographer. So I saw a lot of iterations in the photography industry, and there was a time when senior photography, like high school seniors that it wasn't as big as it is now.
Jasmine Star 00:28:09 There was a time when branding photographers didn't exist. And so what I do strongly see is that there's new iterations in the photography world. So if you are the first to market to create these types of digital resources and assets and education, like I could see email PDFs for you, I could see a digital resource on how to stand and prepare and what to look for. For proposals, I could see a micro course for you, like hiring somebody to show some behind the scenes of where you set up and how you like, and the lenses that you use. I mean, there's just a litany of offers that you could create here. Christy, I want to create a product helping busy nurse moms and nursing students with time management to get it all done, while also staying healthy and incorporating self-care. But I feel like that's too broad. Okay, great. Great. I love this idea. You're already thinking in the right way. Now, if you think it's too broad, I want you right now.
Jasmine Star 00:29:07 Remember when I said that if anything is possible, everything is possible. Now, what we do on the inside of the community is we just challenge our beliefs. Because what I see, Christy, is I see two digital offers. And you had said nurse moms and nursing students now moms for nurses and nursing students, they both want the same thing time management and healthy living. But the way that you speak to those two people are very different, right? Because if you're a nursing student, likely chances are you don't have kids. The vast majority. Now, if you're a mom with who has kids and you're a nurse, okay, you can still have the same time management principles. But when you're speaking to a mom, you have to add in what? Tell me what you have to add in for time management. As a mom, that offer becomes separate. But your principles, your time management tools can be the same. But the way that you speak to the student and the way that you speak to them are different.
Jasmine Star 00:30:11 Oh, now you have two opportunities now as you're creating content. You're a nurse and let's say you're on Instagram and you're like in your car and you're like a simple story. So you know what? I just got a 12 hour shift, but I meal prepped last night and you're probably wondering when do I meal prep I understand that I do 123 show one, two three tips. But you know, I have my full time management PDF. You want anything? You can click on this link. And then all of a sudden the next morning a couple people bought it. Why? Well, because you're specifically talking to students and moms. I like this. I really, really, really like this. Sarah, I need quick ROI now I have an offer, but it's not getting any sales. Well, why belly help me. Well, here's where I want to speak to this. Clearly. For anybody who says an ROI, a return on investment. Otherwise, how quick am I going to make money? Well, the answer is nobody can predict that.
Jasmine Star 00:31:08 But I'm going to invite you that if what you're focusing on is making money and you're not making it right now, your brain is getting very worried. But my invitation to you is to say, I wonder if you haven't made sales because you don't have a structure, because you don't have a mechanism or a flywheel. You don't have a way. You don't have an automated way to point somebody to something. Have them put in a credit card without you even having to do anything, and it gets mailed to them. How are you getting people interested in what it is you're selling? So my question to you isn't, hey, we should be focusing on how quick you make money. My my question to you first and foremost is do you have the structure and the systems in place? Because if you don't have this, even the best, most irresistible offer won't sell. I see this all the time. People will put out a digital offer and then it doesn't sell. And I don't think it's because they're not special or it's not good or they're not brilliant.
Jasmine Star 00:32:10 It's just selling a digital offer. Remember how I said there is a difference between people who make a digital offer and people who make money with a digital offer? There is a big difference now, this gap right here, this is where Yvel comes in. We teach you the system to make money by way of what we call a launch. Give people something to think about. Give people something to talk about. Get people interested. And when people say, oh, I don't have a social media following. Well, when I sold my very first course, I sold my very first course for $197, and I made $255,000 in one week. I had social media at the time, but I did not have hundreds of thousands of followers. So now when people look at my account and they'll say, oh, well, it's easy for her to do that because she has hundreds of thousands of followers. I will say that when I made a digital offer, when I had an irresistible offer, when I sold it by way of a launch, what we teach in Yvel, everything we do in Yale is what we do on the outside.
Jasmine Star 00:33:14 When I did that, I got more social media followers. I grew a newsletter list. Oh, look what happened. I started realizing that every time I made a digital offer and I went through and I made it, other people started getting interested and being like, hey, I didn't know that this person existed. So by way of creating and launching, I grew. And the more I create and launch, the more I grow. I know it seems counterintuitive, but that has been my experience. And on the inside of Yvel, when our students are launching, they're saying that new people are made aware of them. And friends, that right there is a growth model that I could get behind. Okay. Let's see. Amy, I have a lot of interest. I'm a pageant coach. Oh, stop right now. And a makeup artist. And I have a master's degree in piano performance. I think my background could offer a lot of people. Not. Overall, I think I would start with self-confidence course and how to win in life and then online pageant training.
Jasmine Star 00:34:10 I have a small following and have a hard time going on social media. I'm overwhelmed with everything and making money because of the economy. Okay, let's work backwards. Let's work backwards. I'm going to start with with the very careful word choice. I am overwhelmed making money because of the economy. I have to tell Amy and anybody else who thinks the economy is helping them or hurting them. If you think the economy is good for you right now or bad for you right now, you're right. The economy is not going to save you and the economy is not going to hurt you. I have been doing this too long, and I know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, that sometimes in the worst parts of human history, American history, let's just focus on American business history, that some of the biggest and the greatest companies were built and born in the worst economic times. I have seen people in the online space with digital products during a very bad economic year, have one of their most successful years.
Jasmine Star 00:35:24 It's not the economy, it's the offer. It's not a person. It's the offer. It's not a degree. It's the offer. It's not social media. It's the offer. When you make an offer for things that people actually really freaking want, you sell it. That's just it. So right now, I want you to ask yourself, what is something that somebody wakes up and thinks, Man, I wish I knew how to do that. Wakes up and said, oh, I wish I could have this. I wish I could know this because, Amy, I wonder, do you think that more people wake up and say, oh, I wish somebody can teach me confidence if they are not waking up and saying, I wish somebody would teach me confidence. Then I would ask yourself, are there moms? Are there daughters? Are there young pageant women who wake up and say, oh, I wish I just knew the pageant game. I wish I knew how to win pageants, I wish I knew right.
Jasmine Star 00:36:30 And so I want you to look at anything that you can offer. And I want you to think to yourself, how many people are waking up and thinking, man, I wish I had, I wish I knew, I wish I was fill in the blank and I would pay somebody to help me get that. Are there women, mothers and daughters who would pay you to help them win pageants. If the answer is yes, then a digital offer in that space would be amazing. Is there is there a I'm. I'm guessing a woman who wakes up and says, I, I want Amy to teach me how to be confident. If the answer is yes, there's a possibility for a digital offer, but it is not because of the economy, and it is not because of social media, and it is not because a person is or is not in the white House, is or is not a Senator is or is not your city mayor. You are the answer and the solution to what it is you want to create.
Jasmine Star 00:37:25 Hello, I have an Etsy shop where I sell monthly fitness bootcamp guides and I feel like I'm not getting enough sales. The same clients keep buying them monthly. I'm grateful. I feel like I create bond guides. My client reviews confirm that, but it's not enough sales. How can what you're offering help my business from Sonia? Okay, so Sonia, I'm so glad that you that you highlighted that you were grateful because gratitude makes everything enough. I have to tell you, Sonya, there are people who are selling online bootcamp guides and they're not making a penny. So the fact that you are making money, heck yes. And the fact that the same clients are buying them again and again. Hey, guess that means that means that what you're doing is good and what you're doing is special. Amazing. Now what we need to do is create a lever. We need to give people a reason. Like, oh wait, who is Sonya? Because in my mind, Sonya, if the same people are buying it, then what we need is new people buying it so they to buy past boot camp guides or future boot camp guides.
Jasmine Star 00:38:30 Can I get an amen? So what you need is the structure. And in my mind you can absolutely have your guides. But what you need is I. I use the word mechanism and people are like, what does that mean is you need a way to give new people to care. You need to have a way to get new people to care. You need to give them a taste of what they can expect. So for instance, this training, this workshop, right, that I'm doing right now, what am I giving? I'm just to be real business owner. The business owner. What am I giving? I'm giving you a taste of what the next eight weeks will be like. There's some people who are here, and there's, like, this girl is just too much. I don't like her vibe. She's not for me. Amazing. We're never going to work together. Now, there's some people who are on the fence and they're like, oh, man, she's speaking the truth.
Jasmine Star 00:39:17 And this is not about whether or not I think this is work. This is about whether or not I will work. That, friends, is the whole thing. This is not you questioning. Will this work because you've seen it work for me. There's hundreds of our students that have been really great for what you're saying is, well, I do the work. Now, I have to share a statistic that only 10% of people who buy by a digital course, finish it. That's the statistic. So if you've bought another course and you didn't finish it, you were part of the 90% of people who don't. When people invested in your biggest launch ever last year, we had a 48% completion rate. Essentially one out of every two people completed this course. Now, I don't think it's because I'm special. I think it's because we have the support and structure for people to actually do the dang work. That's why I don't record these classes. I mean, I, I make them live and we keep those recordings and people can watch the recordings whenever they want.
Jasmine Star 00:40:22 But I show up live because I want to answer people's questions in real time. I show up live because I only expect of myself what I would expect of you. This is like for you, Sonja. If you committed to go to a gym, okay, you have your membership to the gym. But if you committed to show up to a personal trainer. Oh, that's different, right? Because you might not go to the gym on that Tuesday afternoon. But if you have a personal trainer who's waiting for you at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, you're more likely to show up. You just are. That's why I created this course. Now, when people hear, oh man, I got to do so much work to sell a digital offer. Right. But the beautiful thing about a digital offer is that you create it once and you continue to put attention towards it, and then you create another digital offer, and then another digital offer and then another digital offer. Now, there were times when I first started with my PDF and I made $19.99 and I was like, oh my God, this is so amazing.
Jasmine Star 00:41:20 And then I started adding more digital offers, and somebody would go to the page and they would buy like two video trainings and then my email templates, and then they would buy a magazine. Yes, I started a magazine, I put out a magazine, and all of a sudden I get like a receipt and it was like $130. And I'm like, I just, I just need $130 From a store that exists. And this is happening daily. And so, Sonia, the goal is how do you get more people in that flywheel? How do you get more people in that ecosystem of buying from you? And that's what Yvel does. We teach the way to get people new people to care, old people to care again. And three blow their dang minds with what is on the inside. Tasha, what if you're passionate about something but don't have a lot of experience yet? Okay, well, I and here's the thing, you guys. I think that it's maybe not for everybody's belief, but I will tell you that I always believe that I jump and the net appears, I jump, and then the net appears.
Jasmine Star 00:42:25 Oftentimes, you don't need to be Joanna Gaines to teach somebody how interior design works. You don't need to be a fitness coach from The Biggest Loser to have somebody buy a digital product from you around weight loss or counting macros. You don't need to go to Le Cordon Bleu in order to teach somebody, or have them buy a digital resource around cooking. I did not need to be the world's most preeminent photographer to sell a digital offer, so if you're very passionate about something, well, then start creating content on any social platform. On a blog, on Substack, on LinkedIn, just start creating. Talk about the creation process. And people say, you know what? There's something about that Tasha girl. And I want to know more about what she's passionate about. And then you have a PDF for 7.99 for 9.99 for 1999. And that is the start of monetizing your passion. Will everybody buy it? No, that's not the way the world works. But will some people. Yes. And when some people buy it and you blow their mind and then you give them another way for them to buy.
Jasmine Star 00:43:33 Oh, that is what creates that ecosystem of digital resource sales.
