This week Nikki Bentley joins us to discuss her Elphaba journey.

Nikki's theatre credits include: understudy Molly in Ghost The Musical, Gingy/Sugar Plum Fairy & understudy Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical (UK Tour), understudy The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (West End) and swing in Mamma Mia! (West End).

Nikki was Standby Elphaba in the 2017-18 UK & Ireland tour of Wicked. In 2019 she took over from Alice Fearn as Elphaba in the musical's West End production.

In this episode, Nikki discusses performing with Laura Michelle Kelly as a child on the Isle Of White, all the iconic roles she has played and covered throughout her career as well as Elphaba riffs, no-fly shows and why Wicked was her ultimate dream.

Sadly Nikki had to cut short her London run as Elphaba and has since spoken about her experience with anxiety and mental health. In this episode, Nikki explains what happened and why she wants to defy gravity again in the future.
