59. Dane Giraud
Dane Girauds’ life took an unexpected turn when his band broke up, the hair-metal era abruptly ended and he found himself suddenly single, drunk on vodka and Raro, while wearing fishnet stockings in a new world of flannel. Perhaps this was a good thing as he eventually found his way into acting and writing and has since had a fascinating and prolific career. Dane began his screen career by starring in and co-writing the 2001 movie The Waiting Place. He directed the feature drama Luella Miller, he’s been involved with numerous television shows and documentaries (Bring Your Boots, Oz, Both Worlds), he created Find Me A Maori Bride and wrote on Jimi's World, Jimi Jackson's debut TV show. Dane’s a genuine and funny guy and we had a great time talking to him.
