"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." Surely one of the most valuable concepts to grasp in the world would be to know what kind of heart the God of the universe delights in. This is especially important since God knows all things and sees all things - even our hearts. Psalm 51 is a window into the heart of David after he had committed unthinkable sins against God. In this Psalm we will see so clearly the seriousness of our own sin, the sanctifying power of our God, and the eternal significance of our response to our own sin.
