We continue in this episode by noting that the Methodist Church consists of a complex organization including numerous conferences, powers and duties as set forth in their Discipline. Glenn discusses the simplicity of the Lord's church as outlined in the Bible. We talk about the fact that no member of the Methodist Church may preach without a license, contrary to what the New Testament teaches. We discuss what women do in the Methodist Church that the Bible doesn't say anything about. We note that the term "reverend" is used as a title for Methodist ministers when the Bible applies that term to God exclusively. Like many other denominations, the Methodist Church teaches the doctrine of justification by faith only. We note what James clearly says in James Chapter 2. We discuss the doctrinal position the Methodist church holds on baptism and show by what the Bible says that they are wrong. We close out this episode by comparing what the Methodist Church requires concerning marriage and divorce and what the Bible says. Take about 30-munutes to listen in on our discussion.
